Not very welcoming, walked in and walked straight back out again, One staff member had a bad attitude, think she was in charge maybe.. . But would not go back. So you have lost out on a sketchers sale.

Always found the staff friendly and helpful, reasonable product range and OK prices.

Nice little high street store, packed full

I would like to thank the lovely lady who helped me today. I wasn't sure what golf balls I wanted or scarves. She went out of her way to help and I can't thank her enough xxx

It’s not a very nice place to shop, due to what I can only imagine to be down to high theft rates here everyone is treated as a potential thief and made to feel that way. Customer service is a low priority and the general appearance of the store is scruffy. In the absence of many other choices in town it sometimes has to do, but be prepared to be followed and viewed as suspicious.

I busted the store today with the intention of treating myself to a new backpack. When I finally found the one that I liked I went to the till to buy the backpack. The girl on the till was very nice and chatty. I walked past another college who has brown hair and glasses. No sooner I I past her the girl on the checkout contacted the one I walked past saying "backpack has been bought." I have never felt so embarrassed like that in all my life. I felt as if they judged me as soon as I walked in. What I don't understand is that if the college thought I was about to steal the backpack and went through the trouble of informing the college behind the till then why didn't she make the effort of coming to the till to see if I was buying the backpack? It was probably because she was far too busy looking at her mobile phone whilst on the shop floor. I won't be shopping here again. Never been made to feel like that in any other shop I've shopped in before.

Plenty of variety and good prices, but the assistant who served my husband was a bit dour. She didn't smile or even look up while she folded the items and asked if he wanted a bag. There was no please or thank you either. Not great for a public facing job.

Not a great choice of football boots!! Seems to be a shortage on most places!!🤦🏽‍♀️

Definately a good place if you need to run in quickly and have a look, see what they have, their range is fairly good for a small store, what I do find though is the ladies range of trainers is quite small in most sports direct stores while the mens and childrens section is huge. The ladies clothing section is quite limited here too unfortunately due to lack of space upstairs. The best one to visit I find is Shrewsbury in Meole Brace, it has a larger range of everything, although again the ladies shoes are quite a small selection compared to the mens and childrens section downstairs.

Know your consumer rights! They will try to force you to accept a credit note instead of a full refund back on your card if you have the receipt and take it back within 28 days. By law, they HAVE TO give you a refund if you request one if you have the receipt, take it back within 28 days and it's as you bought it. I can't be bothered with arguing with ignorant shop staff that don't know the law.

Went into Oswestry store today (wednesday market day) 2 staff on . One chatting to a freind of hers the othere up stairs. People waiting by the tills put stuff back and walked out. I went and asked for trainers and she was rude, she got the trainers but not in the size i asked for. My husband tried them on not realizing the size, when i asked for the right size she just stared at me then went and got them. Went to pay for them and no one at the till. When i asked could i pay i was told only 2 on would have to wait. Wont be going to oswestry store again again

A good sized Sports Direct shop here in Oswestry. Always has special offers on and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
