O-M-Delicious! The food, the pineapple soda, the service, and atmosphere tops people! They have rooftop dining and happy hour all day on Tuesdays! Please y'all! I will definitely be back. See the pictures speak for themselves.

The atmosphere is casual but well put together. I went for a Late lunch 3ish. Great service, quality ingredients, delicious drinks. Light fresh healthier Italian fare. Super cool taster boards paird with wine or create a board of 3of any of their specialty recipes. Meatball appetizer w some bread and the awesome sauce so good. Tiramisu was a great desert to share. I'm sure it gets packed and crazy busy but not then. Great experience and can't wait to go try more of their menu!

We got seated in less than 5 minutes without reservation. Beautiful Italian ambiance, very modern style. The waitress forgot to put our order in after 15 minutes and apologized. They give us 25% off for each of our order, which is I'm very glad. And most importantly the food and drink that we order tasted great!

Had a really horrible experience here. We had a party of four adults and a baby, and when we were seated we were the only ones in the restaurant. After ordering, it took thirty minutes for our appetizers to be served. During that time, we had a difficult time getting our server's attention to refill drinks/water. Then thirty minutes after we finished our appetizers our server informed us that they had a big catering order they were working on, so it would be at least another half hour. At this time, I asked for another glass of wine and the server said that they served me the wrong glass the first time, but never said anything. When we were approaching the two hour mark, we were getting antsy (and regretting not just cancelling our order and going somewhere else for an entrée), so I tried to find our server to get an update. I had to go up to a service station and get another staff member's attention in order to get an update. Our food arrived about fifteen minutes later. The food was fine, nothing remarkable, but I think at that point we were too annoyed by how much time we had spent there waiting to enjoy it. We feel like we were pretty gracious and tried to be understanding (especially given we had a 3-week old baby with us), and never got upset with any staff members. We were shocked when the bill came that no concessions were made. I at the very least expected the glass of wine that had been incorrectly served to me to be comped, but it was not. Not even an acknowledgement from the server that, by the time we paid the bill, we had been there over 2.5 hours. By that point, however, we just wanted to get out of there, so we didn't say anything. Not a fun way to spend the afternoon. If a large enough order comes in that you can't serve the customers seated in the restaurant, then close your dining room.

So, we ordered a margarita pizza and it barely had any cheese and tons of sauce!!! we complained the server! and she was like “oh unfortunately we cant do anything! this is how we make pizza. "AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE" Look at the amount of sauce i had to take out

I loved the vegan pepperoni pizza! The pepperoni was nice and crisp and reminded me a lot of meat based pepperoni. My cousin ate with me and also had a vegan pizza and the sausage on it was also very yummy. The table was a very small for two people and all their food and drink and was very cramped. I personally would have liked the crust to a bit softer but it was a brilliant wood fire pizza.

We called ahead to reserve a table for me and my staff. We arrived on time and waited downstairs for our table to be ready. After 15 minutes we were told to go upstairs and we would be seated. Once going upstairs no one greeted us or said anything to us. We felt uncomfortable standing there while other patrons were sitting down at their tables. We waited 5 more minutes and decided to just leave. On our way out we told the lady downstairs to feel free to give our reservation away. She asked if we were sure. On our way to the car one of my staff asked do you think it was because we were the only brown people there. Never felt so unwelcomed before. The customer service itself was not up to par. This was actually recommended by one of our patients who's a owner of the building.

What a fun little space in Salem. This wasn't here when I lived in Oregon nearly 10 years ago, and it's quite chic. Met up with my friend for lunch and sat on the rooftop, which I preferred as the inside was very crisp with AC for my now California-ized sense of heat We had sandwiches and salad, with a three-set bruschetta, wonderful. I liked all three, very substantial and a good shareable plate. We also enjoyed a glass of tap cider. Yum.

The food was mediocre and expensive for what you received. I ordered the meatball sub and my sister ordered a Margherita pizza. My meatball sub was way to spicy and was burning my mouth. I was told the cook (Definitely not a chef) was trying a new recipe. The server was nice and gave me a pizza instead. The pizza had very little cheese and wasn't good at all. My sister's pizza was mostly sauce.

Great place for a casual bite to eat. Had the Hollywood Cowboy and the Italian Salad both were amazing! But you have to get the cheesy garlic bread with the red sauce it's a must have. Great to have a great restaurant back!

This place is awesome! The pizzas and wraps are delicious, though I'm a little biased since I love basil on everything. Frankie and Dustin were especially helpful with any questions I had. Thanks guys!

Solid pizza and drinks but really expensive for what it is

My initial feeling about this place is lackluster. I was just expecting a little more definition in flavor. They laid out a fair amount of condiments to adjust the flavor, but the way it came out of the kitchen just didn't have any thing special about it. On the pricier side. The food came out quickly and the place is clean. Parking is super meh. Overlapping with an office building and pretty ambiguous signs could leave someone with a ticket if they ever enforced the rules. The best part of the meal was honestly the coffee. It came at the same time as the pizza which was a bummer. By the time I got to it, it was lukewarm, but it had a well defined flavor, sweetness and clarity that I wouldnt have expected from a pizza place.

Atmosphere, decor, and seating is more like fast food than expensive pizzas. It was insanely cold inside. They were out of many alcoholic drinks and you couldn’t pick up the pizza because the toppings would just fall off! Interesting place probably won’t be back.

The atmosphere and energetic employees are a fun experience indeed. The food tastes just as good as it looks, the drinks and dessert were *chefs kiss*. The table was clean but the seats had some food crumbs on them, I wiped them away with a napkin. The service was friendly and fun, he seemed a little nervous but that is all right, he was all smiles and jokes and I enjoyed his occasional presence during our meal. He didn't hover either, hurray!! I plan to make a reservation for the rooftop seating soon enough. I drove a little over an hour to come here with a friend and I am happy to say it was worth it! I am excited to come back! More about the food, now! I always flip over my sandwiches, paninis, burgers, etc, I don't know how to explain it but flipping them over changes everything! I can confidently say the Italian Stallion panini was sensational both upside down and right side up :) ! The side of kettle chips were crunchy and fresh, too, and the bowl just seemed to keep getting deeper! I had the strawberry frosé cocktail, a new drink for me, it was very interesting and refreshing on a hot summer day. The white dessert board hits all of the marks with the lemon tarts just how my friend likes them, and I was blown away by the panna cotta w/raspberry pureé. Those apricot blondies were tasty, too! The whole dessert board was pleasing to look at, and I really am glad we decided to get dessert. My friend ordered a Mt. Hood panini and a blended margarita and she was very impressed with the freshness of the food and the drink was strong!! I do suggest checking this place out!

Have you ever sat down on a roof top and ate dinner ? How about damn good pizza while on said rooftop? You got to try out this place out ! Reservations required for the roof top dinning, but the service is great as is their food !!

*6/15 update. On a beautiful late afternoon try the rooftop for dining. Enjoyed the Beet salad but a little skimpy on the beets. And for the second time, no meatballs. Nice location in Salem. Parking in back is your best bet. Cozy atmosphere. Loved the Meatball Al Forno. The meatballs cook to perfection. Tender, moist and flavorful. The marinara sauce is dark with a nice spice. Good enough that I would try on one of their pizzas. I paired it with a Zinfandel that is not normally on the menu. Folie 'a Deux from Dry Creek Sonoma. Fruity and enough pepper notes to work with the marinara sauce. For dessert try the Red Dessert Board. Again the Zinfandel works wonders with the dark chocolate. I'm looking forward to more of their menu soon.

The food was delicious, the servers friendly. I highly recommend eating here. We got to sit on the rooftop, the breeze picked up and it was a tad chilly. If you sit on the rooftop, bring a sweater

This place started out pretty good but has really gone downhill. It seems like the past 5 times or so Ive been here they have not had items advertised on their menu. After ordering and waiting extremely long times the orders were received incorrect. Now they have removed some of the only things from their menu that made it worth coming. Prices are ridiculously high for the food and service you get. Also, no attempt to correct or compensate for their lack of service has been made. We used to frequent here, but won’t be anymore. It’s really too bad.

Really good food! Huge portions. I was assuming individual portion sized pizzas and salads. But ended up with leftovers... 50% take home! High quality ingredients! Very delicious! Fun vibe. Great staff. Plenty if easy parking. We will be returning!

Super tasty pizza! Their margarita pizza definitely was the tastiest of the three, but I don't think you can go wrong. Highly recommend trying out the bruschetta, it's really interesting; every place does it differently and with three choices when you order it's a really fun taster.

  • 4/5 Ashley 8 months ago on Google
Pretty cute restaurant. Service was quick, and portion sizes are really big! I got a pizza and still had to take like half of it home. The cheesy bread and wine slushy were also to die for (especially the mangonada slushy). Will definitely be back!

Ok, if you are looking for some where FANTASTIC in Salem, Oregon, this is it. We had the Pineapple Cream Stubborn soda (legitimately will go back just for that alone) and had one pizza off the menu and created a custom one, as well! It was delicious. We’ll be headed back for sure.

  • 4/5 Mindy S. 6 months ago on Google
First the good news…loved the atmosphere and the menu had great, creative choices. The meatball app was so good! Really flavorful meatballs and the sauce/cheese topping was mouthwatering. Also had two different pizzas, both of which were great. The only opportunity here was the service. We were seated by a hostess (or maybe manager) who never uttered a single word nor gave a smile. Our server was nice and friendly but we were never given napkins (had to go up to the counter for them) or utensils (another trip up to the counter). We will definitely be back, we enjoyed the experience and loved the food, if just a bit bothered by those few service misses.

Good wood-fired pizza with unique toppings, great salads, and appetizer menu. A wide variety of adult beverages. Dine inside in air-conditioned space or the roof top.

The rooftop is easily one of the coolest places in Salem. However, we have been frequently underwhelmed by the service. Tonight we had a reservation and were promptly seated. However we waited 15-20 minutes before our server came and she went straight to business with no welcome or apology for the wait. Our food was good and we enjoyed our pizzas. Our server did not come back until we were finished eating and she only asked if we wanted dessert and then brought us our tab when we declined- with no interaction or eye contact when we got up to leave. I wish I could say that this was a one time occurrence, but our experience with the table service has been very similar for most visits- cold and impersonal. I was hopeful that COVID would allow for the opportunity to ramp up training for staff, but was disappointed again tonight.

  • 2/5 Jacob W. 3 years ago on Google
As they expect you to make a reservation, I called 5 times and no answer, texting options are only automated responses. There’s no actual person to person communication, which is ridiculous. Another ridiculous thing is that they don’t have any cocktails currently... rude. Overall the service was a bit eh, and they seemed too busy with their tasks to pay attention to my table. Food was decent, but if you’re a vegan vegetarian, you’ll have to heavily modify some of the options.

We only had a couple of boards, but not what we were expecting. Was it wasn't bad, it wasn't what we were looking for. I would try again in the future having a better idea of what offered

We don't live in Salem, but we are often visiting our daughter and family. She suggested Basil and Board, saying they had pizza, among other things. So, going on the premise that there's no bad pizza, some is just better than others, we gave it a try. Not being particularly hungry, I went with the small pizza and salad lunch special. This is my "small" lunch. No way I could eat all of it. The pizza was great by the way, as was the crispy salad. To top it off, she had ordered a skillet chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top. To heck with the lunch, just go there for the cookie! It was fantastic. Of course, they have other menu options, check it out at their website, or look on google maps. In short, I highly recommend Basil and Board

Good but small portions and expensive. Got the PCT pizza. It was light on toppings. Also very delayed. We ordered the pizza at 3:00 for a 5:30 pickup time. We showed up at 5:30, they told us that it would be a 30-45 min wait. Come back in at 6:00. They say it's going to be 20-30 minutes. Finally got the cheese pizza and PCT pizza that we ordered at about 6:30. Very dissatisfied with the operations of the place. I guess they were short staffed, I don't know. I felt bad for the cashier.

The pizza is okay, this crust and very flavorful with fresh tasting ingredients. It would be better if the sauce wasn't so sweet.

Picasso salad was delicious! Everyone in my group enjoyed their food, went for lunch and sat on rooftop. Service was perfect and I appreciated the server read back the order as some of us had special instructions. All came out as ordered and again it was very good. Lunch size portion was very filling and reasonable price.

Delicious! Have not been able to dine in yet as my girlfriend and I dropped in on a whim and ended up taking home three pizzas as we could simply not choose (?). As a side note, we are Vegetarian and Vegan so it is usually hard to find dietary options suitable to our liking... Not here! Looking forward to dining here again in a couple weeks.

The service and food here is amazing. For such a top notch place, the prices don't reflect it. The rooftop seating is romantic, perfect for a date night. The seating here also seems to be accommodating for medium to large groups, and they take reservations. I will be back!

Incredible place. Vibe, food and dranks. I love that they have legit vegan, plant based diet options. Thank you! My sons favorite pizza EVER (he's 11) was the butchers wife. He couldn't stop talking about it. Now, gotta experience the roof top in summer.

  • 5/5 Nancy R. 3 years ago on Google
The pizza and salad was very good, the roof top dining was great, the service was excellent. I had the 'Sunshine on a cloudy day' pizza and the farmhouse salad which is a lunch special (any 8oz pizza, salad and a drink for $12.50) it was more than filling I even brought some home. I will definitely go back again.

Overpriced, bland and will never order from here again! I wish I could get my $ back. I ordered through Grubhub because all restaurants are takeout only. The small pizza barley had any ingredients on it, for 14 bucks with the service fee and to tip the driver I paid $ 19 and some change and that was with their 25% first time order prom ocode. NEVER AGAIN, the food is disgusting, I had been once before inside the place. I didn't like the lay out. My pizza then was pretty gross, sloppy and with very bland flavors. But I wanted to give this place another shot. Yuck. Make better food.
