Such a lovely restaurant in every way. The staff were fab and friendly. Service was so good and they coped marvellously with 9 exuberant ladies enjoying an early Christmas get together. All the food was great - definitely my favourite in Spitalfields xx

If you want amazing steak, go to Blacklock. If you want great pasta, go to Bancone. After really good comms with a v. professional and polite manager (Bogdan) when booking - the evening & food just wasn't great but still quite expensive. We kept having to catch the eyes of servers (mostly for water, or for more drinks while we waited for our friends, to order starters, for more water, to be given the wine menu, to order our mains etc etc). The 4-5 slices of Steak (ordered mid-rare) came out like braising steak (photo). Couldn't complain as the staff weren't to be seen in the dining room we were in. I ate it - then eventually went up to the kitchen in order to get our bill and pay. Maybe I imagined it but when I asked what 'Manzo' was on the bill - I heard staff laughing. I'm sure that's just coincidental though. The Gelato my friend had was freezer burned too. Some positives: sharing board for starter was lovely as was the delicious Tiramisu, restaurant is in a good spot and cosy. We spent £332 for a table of 5. This is okay for the group I was with but I hate to imagine a family or couple saving up hard-earned £££ for a special evening and it being as lackluster. Maybe it was because we booked a table of 6 but one of our guests was late, and one didn't show up (Covid). Maybe it was because one of our group was in a T-shirt. Maybe it was just a bad day at the office...

What an absolute treasure this restaurant is. Found via TripAdvisor as one of the few Italians open on a Monday and wow, we were lucky. The two pictured dishes were stunning and cooked to absolute perfection. Seafood is often wasted in restaurants but here they served two fishy starters without fault. The fresh pasta in the main course was devine and served with a slight bite, exactly as I like it. Staff were polite and attentive providing the level of service you expect from a good Italian. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a cosy couples meal.

My new favourite Italian restaurant in London. The place was very cosy and has a small number of tables which makes it feel very private. The food was so well prepared. My and my girlfriend enjoyed every dish but I'm particular I loved the baby octopus 🐙. Will definitely come back.

We visited for dinner on a Saturday. The service was generally good and the waiter very friendly. The ambience was ok there was a smell in the restaurant which was not pleasant. For food we had the buratta, aubergine parmigiana, crab tagliatelle and tagliatelle al porcini. We generally felt that the food was not as tasty as we anticipated.. The buratta was not creamy and seemed like a store bought, and the pasta dishes were a bit lacklustre. We felt a bit underwhelmed as we were looking forward to trying the food here. We must agree with some of the other reviews that the prices are quite high and for this reason we give it a 3. The place has potential and we would love to give it a second chance in the future.

Food was 9.5/10 and we were surprised. Yes portions were fitting for a lunch but we loved the Ragu beef tagliatelle and starters were superb. We want to go back to try the steak. Prices were reasonable and ask for a window seat of you can. Small and good hidden secret to star on your Google maps !

This was the second lunch I had with 3 friends. Each time we had different main courses. All of us were very pleased with our selections. The food was excellent, the service was very good and the desserts were lovely.

Nice Italian restaurant. This little restaurant has a really nice atmosphere with friendly staff and decent food. The carbonara may have not been a traditional carbonara but was a very good pasta dish. The wine was also very good and the price over all was standard for location

Lovely cosy and intimate spot. Friendly and attentive waiter. Food was delicious, service was of a high standard and the atmosphere was nice. Delicious prawns starter. One of the best healthy salads I have had. The mix of artichokes and citrus was an absolute win.

Slow service to start and they took orders from a few other tables who arrived later before us. Food was excellent - fresh, delicious and deceptively filling. Pre-booking essential on busy occasions like Valentine’s Day. We were seated at the front by the window and it was definitely on the cold side, with a hint of damp smell, so I’d love to see some heaters installed for winter. If I was to visit again I’d simply ask to be sat away from the window in the winter.

A catch up with good friends. A wonderful restaurant. The layout is great with various areas meaning you aren't in a large dining room. Makes it cosier for chat without feeling as though people are listening. The staff were great. Professional, knowledgeable and didn't rush us to order. The food was ALL excellent although we couldn't decide whether the steak, lamb or swordfish was best! It's a bit on the pricier side but the quality of food and wine was top notch. Loved it. Thank you.

A fantastic authentic Italian experience. Exceptional pasta (I had the carbonara), some of the best I've had, including in Italy. My wife had the lobster pasta dish which she said was delicious. Very friendly service, attentive but not over bearing or rushed. Reasonable prices, including on wine, but I'd recommend by the bottle. By the glass is 175ml and not as good value. Tiramisu was very good. Espresso okay, but to be honest by that point I didn't have much space left!!

Lovely small Italian restaurant tucked in the small streets of Liverpool Street. There’s a great selection of starters and pastas, I had the truffle cream and prosciutto bruschetta which was rich but not overpowering at the same time! The seafood pasta was delicious - the lobster bisque soup was amazing! The tiramisu was also amazing - it had good amounts of coffee taste to it!

This is a nice family run restaurant in a really busy business area. There are plenty of choices in the area, however it is hard to find one that is not run by a chain and only gives you 90 minutes for your table. I picked this place to catch up with my girlfriend and it was nice not to be rushed and you can relax and enjoy the Italian food and you don’t have to shout across the table to hear each other. Will be back again.

I recently dined at La Tagliata, and it was an outstanding experience. This Italian restaurant beautifully combines modern and elegant decor with a personal touch that makes you feel right at home. The ambiance is simply amazing. The highlight, of course, was the food. It exceeded my expectations, especially considering the price. The flavors were authentic, and the quality was top-notch. From the pasta to the tiramisu, every dish was a delight for the taste buds. The service was equally impressive. The waitstaff were warm and welcoming, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. They were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, which added to the overall experience. In summary, La Tagliata is a hidden gem in the world of Italian dining. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a delightful meal in an elegant yet cozy setting.

A cute out of the way little restaurant, love the little nooks to make it feel more intimate. You feel transported away from the hustle and bustle of Liverpool St. Portions were slightly small but so good and full of flavour. The staff were friendly and personable. Great find, definitely recommend.

Highly recommended La Tagliata in London is an amazing restaurant where the food is like a beautiful painting on a plate. The chef there is like an artist, creating dishes that not only taste delicious but also look stunning. The chef pays a lot of attention to the details in every dish. They use really fresh and good ingredients, which makes the food taste even better. When you go to La Tagliata, it's not just about eating; it's like going on a tasty adventure. The chef's food is like art, and it's a special experience you won't forget. If you're in London and want an extraordinary meal, you should definitely try La Tagliata.

Such a lovely Italian place with AMAZING food. We got the lobster bisque and the tiramisu for dessert and it was 10/10. Also, the ambiance is very nice and our waiter was so hospitable and attentive. Overall I had great and memorable dinner here! Would recommend it to anyone looking for Italian in London.

Once I entered the restaurant, it felt like I left all the noise and troubles outside as the atmosphere makes you feel at home. All I wanted was a plate of carbonara in front of me and a glass of white wine. But the waiter recommended zuppa di mare. It's divine... if I could eat that bisque with fresh bread for the rest of my life I'll be a happy man. Definitely a place to return and the carbonara will have to wait!

Beautiful, small cozy restaurant with a home-like atmosphere. Bruschetta with creamy cheese with a truffle, with a rocket and prosciutto was a very good start, together with a glass of Montepulciano. Smaller portion of fish soup in the lobster bisque as a starter (you can have the big portion as a main course too) was very good, spicy and rich in taste, full of mussels and shrimps, however I would welcome a bit more fish in it and less shrimps and mussels and a bit thinner texture, not that thick, but overall very good. Main course chosen from daily truffle specials was pasta with mushrooms, shrimps and truffle. All done well but I am afraid this combination of tastes does not work together that well and simpler version just tagliatelle, porcini and truffle would work much better, but I know some like the combination of mashrooms with shrimps. Coffee with Tiramisu was a good end. I will come back!

I thought the overpriced for what was served. Service was impeccable though. There were shells in my crab pasta, they did politely take it off my bill.

We recently visited "La Tagliata" for a bithday dinner party for my wife and her guests (7 people) and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly by the friendly hostess. As we perused the menu, we sipped on some delicious cocktails and indulged in the complimentary bread basket with a variety of dips and appetizers which where full off flavours. For our main courses, we ordered the classic Spaghetti Carbonara while I opted for the Seafood Linguine and the guests had Ribseye steaks, Sword fish dish and some salads. All dishes were cooked to perfection and the portions were just right, leaving us feeling satisfied but not too full. To top it off, we shared a slice of Tiramisu which was rich and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. The ambiance of the restaurant is elegant and cozy, creating a perfect atmosphere for a romantic date night or a family dinner or a cosy birthday party. Overall, we had an exceptional dining experience at "La Tagliata" and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Italian cuisine and excellent service.
