Beautiful old pub in a small country town. There is a bit of history to this town and pub. In the gold rush there was approx 140 pubs here and now only 2. Also the king size pool table here come over by wooden boat sometimes in the 1800's and when it was restored Eddy Charlton was the first to break a set of 9 on it. Apart from that good meals, cold beer and a good yarn with the publican.

Treat yourself to a step back in time with a unique stay at this pub. Super comfy beds, charming staff, history, history, history. French doors from room open up onto historical verandah for elevated Ravenswood street views down to the old pie shop & school of arts. Pizza night Wed, fish & chips Thurs, bangers & mash Mon. Charming old dining room full of antiques. Continental breakfast included in the stay. Just a charming country experience.

Oh wow what a find. Ate there twice over our stay in Charters Towers. Had the grilled fish 1st evening got 2 large pieces beautifully cooked, you help yourself to chips veg or salads which there is plenty of. Served by the most charming, happy smiling waitperson. Second evening had the lamb chops yumm they were to die for. Reasonably priced good food in a relaxed happy pub. Go there you won't be disappointed.

This place has a pace all of its own. You arrive, you drink, you eat and life just slows to an old-fashioned pace. Treat yourself. Also, intermittent cellular Internet (07/22) means you’re *really* off the grid. Even more peaceful.

An Historical Pub in Ravenswood (the best pub in town!!)When You walk in the door, you can feel the history here! Grab a seat at the bar and have a look at the shelves full of old and new bottles of alcohol while sipping on a cold drink. The building has a whole lot of character. The publicans are great people and love a good chat! Will definitely be back to explore the history of this little country town πŸ˜€

Lovely hotel and people serving. Food delicious and drinks cold. Reasonably priced. What a nice change going to this pub. We had just been to the prarie hotel and the barman was so rude. This lovely hotel is a breath of fresh air. We could look around upstairs to just historically amazing.

It is a lovely old pub. We had toasted sandwiches and wedges and they were very tasty. The food service was good but the female bar attendant was rude and totally uninterested. The other staff were friendly.
