Love love love! Wish I could keep this spot to myself. Grab a picnic or fish and chips and take a dip. No waves so perfectly safe for the whole family. Toilets and changing rooms are spacious, clean and close to the beach. Fun to watch the locals climb up the big rocks for a splash. Would definitely consider staying at the local resort/park, they had a band playing in the restaurant and had a great vibe.

Well been here every time we are in Australia and each time they have added things to improve. I love it her for many reasons. The reef snorkelling, the sandy beach, free car park right by the beach and a cafe . Today was much busy than expected. But still great snorkelling. Since our last visit they have mage more improvements. A ramp so all can get to the beach , toilets with changing rooms . Definitely worth a visit it’s beautiful

Absolutely stunning lookout! Definitely worth the little walk up the rocky slope. Water was such a nice temperature. Lots of people swimming!

Cute little beach near Bowen and accessible along the esplanade footpath. Looked great but the water was choppy and full of churned up seaweed so we didn't swim. I've heard when the wind and tides cooperate the water can be beautiful.

What a lovely surprise Bowen has been to us. Just stopped overnight, but didn’t realise all the beautiful safe swimming bays. We had a lovely breakfast with local fresh produce at Horseshoe Cafe on the beach. Then explored the snorkelling. Only meters away on both sides of the bay. Lots of different fish, follow the rock edge and see the coral πŸͺΈ life. Some of the coral bright blue colour.

We stopped here for a little rest. We wish we had organize a night around this area! Neat beautiful bay recovered and maintained by the local school. There other little beaches around too and they are all great spots for a dip! Just be aware there might not be flags.

Such a great Cafe for meals. Must book for evenings to ensure a place. Take some friends to the beach and then lunch. Take a diversion after to walk it all off by turning left in Murrays Bay road for a short drive to a stunning short walk down to the beach. This is a ten out if 10 experience. And if your kids (young and old) love rock hopping this is awesome.

Beautiful, amazing and relaxing. Water is so clear. Sit on the beach, read a book and enjoy. The lookout walk is also a great thing to do while at the beach. Not that hard to get to. Loved it.

Awesome little family getaway. Amazing views and protected Cove to cool off in. Good accommodation options, just make sure you book way in advance.

Beautiful beach but very minimal parking, especially considering the nearby holiday park and cafe/restaurant. There are stinger warnings, we came in spring and didn't see any, there was one family in stinger suits though, it obvs doesn't hurt to be prepared.

Incredible little spot! Never too busy even during school holidays. Not much parking available however we never struggled to get a spot! There is also wheelchair accessibility with a nifty ramp down onto the beach. Plenty of little hidden rock pools as well!

Perfect. The pools on the right were beautiful and there was this awesome bird with a ridiculous red head and yellow wattle. It was a bit like a turkey that lives in the bush but not really. No idea what it’s called.

Great little beach spot. Toilets and tables are available. Great for a little picnic and swim. Huge natural rock formations surround this Bay. There's also a short walk up to the lookout. Quiet, and a great spot to just chill and enjoy the sunshine and crystal clear blue waters.

Great secluded location. Make sure if you want to snorkel you have your equipment with you and i would suggest including a sting suit. Well worth a walk up to the viewing platform spectacular.

Cracking little bay in Bowen. Safe swimming for all, no waves and a few rocks to explore. Good shading and toilets/change area. Great cafe right by the beach

Middle of winter here in Australia but Bowen is sunny and warm🌞🌞. Gorgeous bay, soft sandy beaches, and got to do the walk to the look out! Its magic up there! Highly recommended πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŒžπŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

Lovely beach with parking area, covered picnic tables, shade trees and outdoor shower. We walked up to the lookout and what a stunning view. A must visit if you are in the area.

Hoseshoe Bay Beach is one of the very interesting places in Bowen. The beach is wild and no swimming was allowed (when we visited the beach). But the rocks look amazing. It’s a lovey location for photographers as it gives the beach & rocks. The water is blue which gives contras colour with the red rocky colour. Few locations has very high rocks which gives amazing view of the beach. The pics look amazing. It gives amazing views.
