Please don't feed the rock wallabies! Visitors feeding them caused problems like overpopulation. There is even a sign that says so. Because there are plenty of them, it's almost guaranteed that you'll see some. Just be patient, be quiet and peek into the cave cracks. We saw a joey and an adult hopping around.

Cute little guys hanging out at Magnetic Island. Despite signage advising not to feed them, I noticed tourists feeding them random foods. I also noticed one of the rock wallabies was rather ill and vomited violently. This may or may not have been due to tourist food, but please refrain from feeding them and disrupting their natural ecosystem :)

Great location to experience close proximity of rock wallabies. Please note: do not feed the wallabies. They are not meant to eat bread.

Amazing wildlife experience +Pros: Heaps of cute, friendly wallabies. Babies, adults, ones in pouches, so cute. -Cons: Can't take one home as a pet

This was a beautiful spot to visit. Car parking available. Our kids loved feeding the rock wallabies carrots. They were timid but loved taking the carrots from our kids hands. Easy walk also along the shore and great view of Geoffrey Bay

Good fun. Very busy and quite a few people feeding the wrong stuff. However they are very cute and will eat out of your hand if your patient. Just don’t disturb ones with joeys in their pouch as they seem to get a little agitated

We went around 9am and we had the place to our shelves and the Little Rock wallabies all came out to say hello. It is a shame people feed them and they become dependent on humans. Please if you you go and see them, don’t feed them!

Love this place, I would recommend everyone to visit this place. There were many of these rock wallabies hidden behind the rocks, just need to look properly. They’re friendly, but i wouldn’t recommend to give them food or fruits because they would keep begging you for it. Overall, pretty good for a quick visit when you’re at Meggie Island

Lots of rock wallabies to be seen! They’re more active early morning or at dusk so try to plan your visits around those times. We went during the heat of the day, but managed to locate them in a nearby cave off the track. Easy walk but be careful of the jagged rocks. They’re all very friendly and some of them will even let you pat them.

The cutest little creatures ever! They come up to you (if you have food) and you can take photos with them. You have to be careful though because you don’t want to feed them the wrong type of food. These Rock Wallabies are just a must-see in Magnetic Island!

Amazing lookout over the reef! Went looking for the shipwreck but no luck even with the drone and this clear water. Very rocky but an easy straight walk. You’ll find rock wallabies for sure! Specially if you bring them veggies or fresh food. Just be careful, their poo is everywhere!

100% must do. Friendly little locals. You get an amazing up close and personal experience and it's all for free. Please be respectful, as it's there Island not ours 😉

Great spot to visit and see some rock wallabies. If you approach them gently they will let you get close enough, just don’t bother them 🤙

Best to come in the afternoon when it's starting to cool down to sunset. The Rock Wallabies are not the best with noise and are responsive to carrot and apples. Bloody beautiful views with Geoffrey Bay in the background.

I didnt do the hike. I drove to the end of it and easily found these wallabies roaming about. Loved it. Didn't feed them. Just let them be.

Very cute! Bring your own vegetables though (carrots, sweet potatos..), no one is selling food there 😊

The wallabies are mostly friendly and if you move slowly, they will eat out your hand and pose for pictures. Everyone is feeding carrots so choose another one of the food types on the sign and they will love you the most. At sunset more wallabies come out along the road towards the marked spot.

Super cute rock wallabies! If you're taking the bus, they drop you off next to a convenience store and recommend you buy the wallaby food they have there which is little pellets for $3. Just buy a bag of carrots for $2 instead as they much prefer the carrots and it's cheaper! Went around sunset time so they weren't super interested as I think they had been fed all day anyway. But it was definitely a must do experience whilst on Maggie island and it's free!
