This is an enchanting place. There’s a camping area and day use area with great facilities. There are some safe swimming holes but much of it is fast moving water with dangerous drops. Next time I come to Cairns I will definitely schedule a few days camping here.

I definitely recommend a visit to Babinda Boulders. Beautiful fresh water swimming, lovely picnic area, camping area. Plenty of parking, toilets, change rooms. Easy walk to the Boulders, which are amazing to see. Surrounded by lovely rainforest. Babinda is a lovely town. Another reason to love Far North Queensland.

Great swimming spot not far from cairns. Great for children as the water around the steps is shallow but drops off for anyone who wants to fully submerge for a refreshing dip.

Beautiful place to swim, if a bit chilly! Would recommend going down the trail, and looking at the amazing rock formations a bit further down from where you swim. Good how it has wheelchair access, with a ramp down to the pontoon that you can swim off. We also saw a Cassowary here, so watch out for them.

Very scenic and green place with the river carving through giant boulders. Visited in November, it was drizzling and it made the place look more beautiful. There’s free car parking, restrooms and dedicated camping zones. There are walkways taking you down to all the view points. Can get slippery and rough if there’s lot of water.

Very tranquil spot which I was lucky enough to have by myself for some time. It was a little overcast when I went, however the water was fresh but bearable. Ramp takes you to the platform at the waters edge. Ammenities were toilets and change rooms. BBQ and small playground for the kids Dirt road for 1-2 km to get to final spot, just be mindful of drivers taking blind corners quickly Small free camp ground however gets very busy

such unique scenes. You have to swim in the freshwater here, it is so clear and refreshing and tranquil. Not as rocky as other spots so you’re not constantly fumbling around. Cute little picnic benches and bbqs all around for lunch. Nice little trails to visit a couple of lookouts. I loved this spot!

Great little walk along an asphalt track to 3 separate lookouts. Park area nice and tidy, amenities are clean. Worth the visit and not far out of town.

Stunning location, Easy access to all viewing areas. Well worth the trip down from Cairns or Port Douglas. Fantastic pie shop and pub in town.

Lovely place to visit, go for a swim, a walk, have a picnic or chill out. Lots of parking when we went and toilet facilities were good. Well worth a visit if you are thinking of going for a day trip.

Lovely picnic area and swimming hole! Very accessible for kids (no climbing over rocks or down tricky paths, both shallow and deep water), lots of amenities too! Beautiful!

Nice tucked away spot for swimming in crystal clear water. The water is refreshingly cold. A small 650m walk to the lookout. Beware of the big black flies that bite around here. Use repellent.

Great place to visit. Even to cool off and have a swim. If you like to hike there is a hiking track. One is 19.5km one way. Otherwise short walk it to the beautiful viewing decks.. Plenty of parking and a ramp to the river and to toilets for disabled. Lovely little town too...bakery ,fresh fish, butchers op shops etc....selling local produce and jewellery and art etc from locals. Just one thing....shops close early ...around 2pm

This place is amazing. There’s a small free camping area within walking distance to the falls. The water is a bit cold but once your in it’s refreshing… there are no crocks here 😃. Just a really good place to have a break.

Really beautiful. We camped at the free camp nearby and walked down to the boulders. All I heard online was how dangerous it was to swim here but there is actually a still, sandy pool at the top with easy access for swimming. Once you start the walk and see the rocky boulders from the lookouts it is these areas you are not supposed to swim at.

Beautiful place! Too cold, would you believe, while we were there, for swimming but the swimming hole is superb. The walk was brilliant and because of having lots of rain the river was wild. Recommend a visit. And Kool Cafe in Babinda for lunch was delicious (good vegan options).

Parking is close to the water. The amenities areared to be clean and well maintained. The walking trails are interesting and tropical. There is a good chance to see a cassowary if you are quiet. The water is cool clear and refreshing for a swim after a hike.

Great swimming hole. Beautiful cascading water fall walk. As it's a national park no dogs allowed, so a bit disappointed for our Golden Lab who loves to swim.
