Absolutely stunning! We spent most of our afternoon here today and did the evening tour which is definitely worth sticking around for. The whole park is beautiful and there is so much to see! Great to see some restorations happening around the old buildings to keep them around for the next generations to see. Staff are super friendly and it was lovely to meet the owners who are still very much involved and the appreciation they have for the visitors! Highly recommend the visit! The entrance fee is well worth it and you can enter for free for the next 2 years! We will definitely be back..maybe for a night or two next time!

Amazing place and story to go with it. This place is more about exploring ruins of what was once Paronella park. Can feed fish and turtles. Plenty of parking outfront, public toilets only available near the entry. Entry fee is abit on the high side for budget conscious families and just over an hour from Cairns travel. However if you're interested in adventure, exploring and and history, this is probably for you. Missed out on the night show as we ran out of time. Worth a visit if you have the time and money for it.

I visited 9yrs ago and then again this week. I saw things during this visit that I don't remember seeing back then. I also got to see the night tour for the first time....it was beautiful and well worth doing. It's an incredible place with an amazing story. The staff are all very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The book is a very interesting read as well. Loved all my visits.

Beautiful location, even in the rain. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and passionate about what they do. They were prepared with umbrellas for all guests and had a well equipped gift shop and cafe. I definitely recommend doing both the day and the night tour. Excellent value for money. They have a car available for people with mobility issues so they don’t have to walk down / up the stairs on the tours. The night tour light show is fantastic. Can’t recommend highly enough. Take some time while you’re in the area and visit this beautiful piece of history.

I cannot recommend this place enough, please check it out! Not only wonderful scenery but also fascinating history. You get a free tour included on the entrance ticket and a free night at its caravan park (which you can use within up to two years). It's nice that it stays open late. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Cairns.

Had a great time at Paronella Park Queensland today. What a great little place of interest, tours every half hour giving you a detailed history going back until 1930's. The place is slowly being restored but I fear this will never be finished due to the size and work required. Night show was good as well it was a different view. Visit and support you will enjoy, have a coffee or a meal plus there are cabins and Van sites.

Do it! This is worth it. Do the daytime tour first. Do the walks in the gardens after the day tour, take your time, plenty to quietly enjoy. The tour guides are interesting, knowledgeable and passionate. Then do the night tour. Don't worry if it's raining, paths are good and umbrellas are always ready if needed. Wear sensible shoes, there are some steps, but if you can't do steps at night, let your guide know. You'll be surprised at how thoughtful this tour is, you'll want to clap at the conclusion. Nice bit of Australiana. The souvenir shop is worth a look. During the day the little cafe is great. The Paddock has drive through sites and is probably better for caravans than the Paronella van site (which is not for the faint hearted!). The amenities at The Paddock van park are top level, including a camp kitchen. The hotel across the road from Paronella (in front of The Paddock) is really good for lunch and dinner. A detour worth making.

It is a fantastic place full of stories and some of the best scones in Australia with their signature jam. Great variety of plants. Short but beautiful walks and of course, how often can you see a castle? Must see. The ticket lasts for two years. I'm sure I'll be back.

Absolutely amazing! Highly recommended! Are guide Anna was very good she took us on the tour and told us all the history about the park it was very interesting. You can really imagine the park as it was way back. The waterfall was unreal and the light show and night tour was really fun and so lovely to see it all lit up. The campsite provided was also the cleanest and best we have stayed at! Loved everything about this place!!!

The can do spirit which drove Jose Paronella to build his dream castle Paronella Park beside Mena Creek Falls is carried on by the present proprietors Mark and Judy Evans. Their enthusiasm, and their love of the story of this special place is a key part of it's charm. Together with their staff they bring the castles, gardens and forest to life for the visitor. Day and night tours are fun and informative. You can even stay overnight. A really enjoyable experience

Incredible place to visit and highly recommend to both travelers and locals. It’s not just an experience, its the beautiful story that goes with it and the history of the land itself. The park tour is a must do when visiting to truly appreciate what you are walking through.

It’s the most wonderful experience wandering around Paronella Park. The jungle has well and truly taken over the old ruins and is super lush and wild. There are so many beautiful plants to see. I thought entry (around $55) was pretty expensive when I arrived, but after taking the tour (which is excellent) and spending time walking through the gardens and exploring the paths I think it’s absolutely worth it. You can also put your name down and visit again for free in the next two years. You can tell the owners are really passionate about the place, and the guide we had was awesome. Definitely go out of your way to visit - it’s a must.

Visited this place today and I can't write a good enough review to do this justice. From being greeted at the entrance by a charming guy who was interested in where we were from and our recent stories (turns out this was the owner) then the ladies who sort out your entrance, couldn't be more helpful , happy and polite. Then we did the free tour with Megan who by the way is the most passionate, informative and infectious person I've had a tour with. I would give 10 stars if it was possible. The story is just amazing and Jose Paronella was a genius before his time. If you plan on visiting, I urge you to do it. These places need visitors to survive and this place needs to share the beauty and story with everyone.

This place is beautiful and a great legacy to the original creator. It's so inspiring to see what one man with a vision started and now what Mark is continuing to preserve. Well worth a visit. There is also accommodation options to stay onsite and view the park at night in lights. A special location to see and experience.

One of the most enchanting places I've been to in Australia. The story behind it is one of generosity and love. Its just stunningly beautiful. And the accommodation is comfortable, compact, clean and more than adequate. Whilst they don't have shower and toilet in them a spotlessly clean amenities block is 1-2 minutes walk away. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, warm, welcoming, engaging and nothing is a trouble. And they are passionately committed to the park and its ongoing success. The guided tours were plentiful and informative and you could tell the guide had a real commitment to the park and its back story. Will definitely go back again and spend 2 days there to fully explore Paranella Park.

Very friendly greeting, owners obviously take great pride in their venue and welcome tourists from all walks of life. Great story of the Spanish family that established an entertainment venue in the jungle off the back of profiting by establishing 11 sugar cane farms. Really interesting history, nature wasn't kind with floods and cyclones.. thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Disco ball story the best, apparently the owner liked to party 😄

What can I say..... This place is magical!! It has such an amazing back story. All of the guides/staff are fantastic. They are full of knowledge and I highly recommend doing a day time tour. The night light show was nice but you need to do the day tour to understand the history. The caravan park was great. It had very clean modern facilities.

What a lovely place to visit. We drove from Cairns which is about 80 mins away (approx). Lovely scenery both ways. The Park itself is on the banks of the river with a gorgeous waterfall. The ruins have been preserved and the guide that takes you on the tour was knowledgeable. The flora and fauna are just wonderful. The staff are friendly, bring a hat, water and comfortable shoes as there is plenty of walking. The cafe staff are very friendly too. A very enjoyable experience

A must visit when in the area, a mysterious place steeped in history. Entrance fees are a bit high but its worth it when you stay the night in the caravan park. Guided tour is well recommended!

Got there kind of early, and got a tour of the park with just the 2 of us and the tour guide Megan. Such a wonderful story behind the park and each place of the park, and Megan was an amazing tour guide. It is such a beautiful place, I definitely recommend walking shoes if you want to properly explore the whole park. However, you could get by without them. They also have a small cafe menu with some delicious vegan options and some locally hand-made ice blocks to refresh you after exploring the park.

Great, interesting and well set up venue. Very friendly greeting and informative talk. Makes you want to find out the whole story of the park. The night tour put a different perspective on it all. Great to see the owner, Mark , come out to talk to the tour group of their vision for the park and the town in general. In the price of the entrance fee, we stayed at their new caravan park, just behind the pub. Excellent facilities and set up. Will be even better when the trees and shrubs grow higher.

REAL HOSPITALITY! So beautiful and cool, you can’t believe your eyes when you’re there. Billy did a really good tour for us and all the staff are super friendly and genuine. Price included guided tours and a free night in the caravan park. Amazing value for money, and valid for 2 years!! They serve good food as well. Very pleased with our stay and experience. Definitely visit Paronella park if you get the chance :)
