I had a not so pleasant experience yesterday. A young lady served me and asked what I’d like. I ordered a small cone with rum & raisin. When the young lady went to get the cone she coughed into her hand and then proceeded to grab the cone with the same hand and no serviette or anything. I pulled her up and said I don’t want that cone as you just coughed in your hand and then proceeded to pick up the cone. No apology just threw the cone in the bin and said “I’ll wash my hands” walked out of sight and came back within seconds so I don’t think she washed her hands at all. She had a little bit of an attitude. If the owner sees this, can I suggest you train your staff in hygiene as I will be going to Baskin & Robins from now on… the young man there is so lovely, polite and wears plastic disposable gloves..

Unpleasant experience! The lady serving used her bare hands, touching on the dessert and letting it drip through her fingers onto the dessert source which they are going to serve the next customer! Disgusting! This was not only unappetizing but also unhygienic. PS: Similar review 3 months ago from another customer. It is clear that the management has made no efforts to train the staff!

Really friendly ice cream shop in Palmer St food precinct. Innovative modern flavours and really delicious treats in the cabinet. The salted white choc and raspberry gelato and the chunky New York cheesecake gelato were amazing! Can’t wait to try their shakes.

I took the kids into our favourite shop when we were in Townsville yesterday and was served by a guy named Dylan. Dylans service was amazing and he took the time to let our kids taste test heaps of different flavours. The presentation of the Gelato and the shop was amazing as usual. Would highly recommend going in and having a look, you wont be disappointed. Thanks gelatissimo Townsville you guys have always been amazing.

They have the most delightful gelatos, ice creams and treats in Townsville!! Coconut, mango, rum and raisin, salted caramel and the list goes one!! Friendly staff too!!

I really love the gelato and sorbet they make.. been there multiple times.. love the flavors.. some of the staff are really friendly and some aren't but the ice cream calls me back for more. ☺️

One staff member was really rude, I understand they were tired and working overtime but it is not a excuse to give a bad service. Instead of close the door trying to push the line of people away because he was getting angrier while the line was extending, it would have been better to kindly tell everyone that they were closing, cut the line and just serve the clients that were already waiting for long time and also help his co-worker to serve the customers so the line would ended faster. Unfortunately the customers don't know the staff's schedule, actually I was really happy of getting an ice cream and thinking "what entrepreneurs, they open until late, intelligents because they are selling a lot" but at the end after 20min of waiting in the line I couldn't get the flavor I wanted because the rude guy took the flavor away one second before finally was my turn. I just made the line for nothing, would prefer them to tell me they were close instead of make me wait in vain.

From the moment I stepped in the door I felt so welcome, the customer service was top notch 👌 absolutely loved the variety of different flavors. Will definitely be back!

Love this little store, all the different flavors and enjoyed just sitting back watching the world go by. The staff were great and friendly. Highly recommend dropping by.

Stopped in for a dessert after fish n chips nextdoor and was lured in by the great display 🍨 Plenty of delicious flavours to choose from and lots of options Unfortunately, there was only one fellow behind the counter and as other reviewers have mentioned - service was frustratingly slow (seems this is an ongoing problem) Some people left the queue in frustration but the reward for those who waited patiently, was outstanding 💯 Portion size was generous and the ice cream absolutely delicious 😋

If in Townsville, don't forget to stop at Gelatissimo for a refreshing gelato. Huge variety of flavours and so fresh and tasty. Best in town and friendly staff too.

You can buy better ice cream/gelato at the supermarket. Literally, and I mean literally tasted like water because the product had been refrozen so many times. Save your time and money. You will be disappointed

Lovely staff and delicious gelato! Lots of exciting flavours to choose from. However, don't be fooled by the chocolate dipped waffle cone for an extra $1.50!! It is not dipped all the way down as displayed in the window, but instead only a centimetre or two!

I've followed the Gelatissimo team from the Strand to Palmer Street because you can be sure of having a special treat when you choose something from their wide selection. The staff are friendly and always willing to ensure that you have the best experience when visiting Gelatissimo. Why not try something from there soon? Summer is here. Went here on a Friday night, the service terrible felt like i was inconvenience to the staff member, don't know the name no name tag. Ice cream tasted really watery. Sitting around was dirty and look really run down. Disappointing experience :(

Well it's Gelato, no actually its great gelato. I always have a triple cone, usually salted caramel, chocolate and cookie dough or some such wickedness... but all the others that I have eaten have been awesome too. Yes I have been many times, even the one in Mackay too...

If only you had the vegan sunkissed coconut flavour it would be 5 stars and I would come here every day when I’m in town!! I love Gelatissimo and am so addicted to this flavor! I have spent a fortune at other stores fulfilling my cravings! The others flavours are pretty good too but just don’t compete! I hope you get this flavor again soon so I can come back and enjoy it! Best vegan ice cream ever! EDITED to 5 stars because you now have my favorite flavour and I am very happy! I come to this store every day that I’m in Townsville to feed my addiction lol😊 Thanks so much ❤️

I LOVED this place! I had to leave a good review out of respect. The only downside is that they used to sell cups so you could take two scoops to go of different flavor, but now it’s combined into a tray of the same flavor. It’s biodegradable though so that’s cool.
