Welcombe Hills

Nature preserve

👍👍 Fabulous off lead walking for dogs, although be mindful that there are cows grazing from spring through to autumn. Beautiful views of Stratford from various points around the hills.

Well, well; Welcombe Hills, not so delighted to tell that are many locations to enjoy beautiful views and integrate yourself with nature. Great way until Apple Farm, so good to have some cash for a nice surprise on the way. Obelisk, woods, fields, and hill sides in a few Trails, Public Footpath and Public Bridleway. Hotel for fancies explore more then a day and Camping field on Millennium way Trail. Very welcome for Welcombe near Stratford on Avon.

Lots of lovely walks through fields, wooded areas as well as open spaces. (Ideal for dog walkers,) and plenty of benches dotted around to sit on. There is even a picnic area where no dogs are allowed. It is very well maintained throughout. The hotel and monument are added attractions, and to be at one with nature was bliss with all the blossoms and buttercups. A wonderful day out.

What a wonderful country park to have a walk around - an obelisk, a tower, hills, trees, dips etc. This really is a lovely country park. No visitor centre or anything like that (from what we could see), and parking available in various places, but no massive official country park car park (again from what we could see!) We really enjoyed our trip here.

A delight for locals and visitors. We started from Rowley Fields and ventured into the hills. There are relatively flat options, or longer hilly options, but all require walking on tracks not paths, so good footwear is recommended. There is a walking guide and audio guide available to use through your phone. Details available online or at the notice board on Rowley Fields. Lots of nature to see and some opportunities for various berry picking. We have been a few times now and still not seen it all, especially the obelisk to the north.

Wonderful walks with panoramic views over miles of countryside stretching to the Malvern Hills. Great place for dog walks. Cows there during the summer No amenities at all.
