We
went
to
the
Ticonderoga
Club
for
my
friend's
birthday,
with
a
7
year
old
in
tow.
The
kid
is
smart
and
well-behaved
but
this
is
not
the
first
place
I
would
take
a
child.
We
all
had
an
absolutely
amazing
experience
-
especially
the
7
year
old.
Our
waiter,
Eric,
was
attentive
-
I
felt
like
we
were
his
only
table,
although
I
knew
we
weren't.
Every
dish
was
perfect.
Our
meal
included
the
Mackerel
Dip,
Diver
Scallop,
Fried
Clams,
Steak
Tartar
-
and
the
Chuck
Wagon
(which
came
with
a
celebratory
birthday
candle,
a
bell
ringing
and
much
fanfare).
Eric
made
2
house
made
sodas
for
the
non-drinkers,
and
helped
me
pick
a
glass
of
wine
by
brining
me
a
few
samples.
He
also
gave
us
all
birthday
shots
-
and
included
the
kid
with
a
special
green
tea
shot.
The
atmosphere
was
relaxed
and
fun
but
the
food,
drink,
and
service
rivals
(exceeds)
many
other
more
"formal"
restaurant
experiences
we've
had.
We've
been
so
fortunate
to
have
lived
and
traveled
and
had
amazing
cuisine
that
I've
felt
jaded
lately
with
dining
experiences
-
this
one
was
a
pleasure,
it
was
special
to
everyone,
and
one
we
will
remember
for
a
very
long
time.
