We will be back! We loved our stay at the FINCH. I am not normally one to leave reviews, my expectations are rarely met and our stay exceeded them. The property is gorgeous and in a VERY convenient location to everything on Main Street. We loved the room. It was quiet, the bed was very comfortable (good pillows and sheets too). The decor was fresh and modern. The room was spotless and odorless. Beautiful bathroom set up too!

Very cute, love the bursts of color and especially the subway modeled dam map in our room. We were fortunate to be by on a Wednesday night where we got to sample some wine. Popcorn and seasoning bar in the lobby was a hit with the wife and 2 year old (and me, who am I kidding?). Staff was very courteous and helpful, offering crayons for an antsy toddler, making change (so I could pay in cash at the bookstore next door, also great!), and offering suggestions for local restaurants. Walking distance to all of downtown.

Quiet, charming and adorably renovated in a perfect location for walking around down town Walla Walla. For a reasonable price, the room was very nice, staff super friendly and helpful, cute outdoor wood burning fire place, yummy free coffee in the lobby in the am and just over all good vibes. We will be back to this spot next time for sure!

A Lego hotel model meets Ikeaā€¦.? A review based upon a very recent two day stay,.. The room was clean, but utterly sterile, no tea or coffee, no hot water pot, no anything. The decor looks like a dorm room designed for an 8 foot 15 year old college student, one hard wood chair, no other seating, just the bedā€¦. spacious yet devoid of any comfort or style. Upon arrival for a prepaid two day stay, I was asked for a credit card for the extra services, I asked what services, as there was no food, no drink, indeed anything. I was told this was if I damaged the roomā€¦. Iā€™m 67, I had no plans for a drunken rave party. The ā€œveryā€ young lady on the front desk explained she was new and was in training, maybe in training to insult guests?ā€¦ if so, she did very well. As a 20 year Hilton Diamond member, I was incredulous, the Finch, and their parent owners need to Google terms like hospitality, customer service, first impressionsā€¦. and understand that customers will post reviews. Needless to say, I have no plans to revisit this East German 1960s era student dorm hotel, also don't forget bring sandwiches and a drink, as there is no food or drinks on site. Rather a shame as their sister hotel in Whitefish MT, the Firebrand is the exact oppositeā€¦. a great place with food, drinks and charm, very odd. You have been warned,

Upon checkin last night, we were asked if we had stayed here before. We simply answered that we hadnā€™t, and were then met with this statement: ā€œwell, we donā€™t do coffee in the rooms, youā€™ll have to come to the lobby. We donā€™t do breakfast, but the board has recommendations. Oh and our on-site parking is full, but there might be a spot across the street.ā€ It was incredibly off-putting to only be given the negatives and ONLY the negatives as our first impression. Morning staff members were friendly. The rooms are updated, clean, and nice enough. Bed was very comfortable. Not sure on other amenities because we were never informed of them šŸ˜…šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

This is a perfect location in town. Great walking distance to multiple fine restaurants, shopping, and in town wineries. Really well appointed rooms. Cool concept with the converted motel appearance. On-site staff is amazing. Really low-key. We have stayed here at least three times now, and will not stay anywhere else at this point.

Wow, such a wonderful place! We came here as a group for my wifeā€™s 40th birthday and it was so nice. The decor is so well done and there are multiple places to hang out. The outdoor fireplace area is my personal favorite. And it is so nice to be able to walk downtown to restaurants and tasting rooms.

The staff, kind, excellent service, and very helpful. The rooms are a good size and have everything you need. You'll need to run up front for coffee (but in room coffee makers are usually terrible, so that's fine with me) there's no microwaves-but realistically, microwaves are gross, and you do get a fridge which is great. There's fancy tea available too with temperature specific pot. Everything's been recently renovated so you experience a clean space with nicely selected products for the rooms and the outside spaces. There's also bike lockup covers that protect your entire bike, that's a super feature. Nearly no risk for leaving your bike outside as long as you bring a lock that can't be cut. Room, bathroom, bed, everything was clean and nice to interact with. The only negative was the fireplace-when guests use it the smoke meanders around the property and you smell it. Walking by it while people were using it had me smelling like smoke until I showered again. Hope they can work out a way to have it or limit hours more without disturbing the other guests with smoke...there's too much smoke in WA already! It is a unique feature. But, maybe causes more harm than is a useful feature.

My wife and I love this place. The rooms are clean and nice. The hotel is pet friendly (my dog loves it here, too). The location is convenient to walk around downtown and the Whitman college campus. During our most recent stay the staff went above and beyond arranging an early morning ride to the airport. Truly great customer service that is deeply appreciated. Stay here, youā€™re in good hands.

Check-in was easy and came with a wine tasting. Very unique. The room was spacious and clean. I do wish the bathroom door was a properly closing door, the one they have is a sliding door that doest latch or seal. The room had a mini fridge but no microwave. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of cable channels. Main parking was full after coming back from dinner, so we had to park on the street, but wasn't really a problem. Across the street from Safeway, a variety of restaurants andna cafe which is very convenient.

Delightful and a little kitschy. Clean, quiet, right downtown. I actually slept in their comfortable beds and I almost never sleep in hotel rooms. And walk in showers!

We stayed for one night at the end of July toward the end of a 33 day trip through the Pacific NW. Definitely one of the nicest places we stayed in during our trip. Spacious, modern room, large shower and comfortable bed. Staff was very helpful and friendly and we loved our complimentary glass of wine upon arrival. The location was perfect to be able to explore downtown Walla Walla. Our only regret is that we weren't staying longer to be able to enjoy the cruiser bikes, cornhole, and the outside courtyard. We will definite stay here again.

The Finch is an amazing modern and updated Inn. I have so many good things to say about this Inn. Great location, just around the corner is main street with restaurants, bars ans shops, also Safeway is across the stret.. They have a lot of free parking space.. Reception area is nice and cool too, with free tea and coffee, play area, sitting area, fireplace in front, and some The Finch branded items to buy. The room was specious, clean and modern. Wifi is great. Love the bed, lamps and all the lightingin the room, the fridge is so cool, bathroom very nice, good shower, barn door, hair dryer,.. toiletries smell amazing and you can even purchase them in the Inn. So many cool details. Really really like it and I hope we will come back again.

I had a wonderful stay here - really friendly staff to check in and out, and the rooms were super cute. Made for a great base to walk downtown and stumble home after sampling the local produce. Will be back on my next trip to Walla Walla.

Amazing. This is a repurposed Red Lion Inn. The remodel is wonderful. Spacious rooms. Nice big showers. And the best mattress I have slept on in eons. If they had the Golf Channel, they would get a perfect 10 out of 10. Walking distance to all sorts of food and drink.

Great location. Looks like an updated motel. Rooms were adorable. Beds were comfy. Great location right down town. They had nice coffee in the morning, free bikes, complimentary wine tasting, and the staff was really helpful giving us lots of local advice.

Jason made my stay great. Not all staff did. Wednesday wine tasting was amazing. Lots of spaces to relax. Coffee was really good. Rooms clean and comfortable. Outside fires at 3pm, when it's 90 degrees outside is a bit much. Perfect walkable location for wine tasting. I'll stay again next time.

What a great experience! I loved the staff, the updated look and the beds were so comfortable. It was so close to downtown and all the wine tasting rooms. We loved wine Wednesday. It was fun to meet a local winery in the lobby for a complimentary wine tasting. If you like funky updated motels/hotels with a lot to offer, this is the place to stay! We stayed her 2 nights and loved it, I just wish I would have noticed the blackout curtains (which this hotel offers) They are a must and something I wish I figured out before checkout time.

Great experience staying at the Finch! They were very accommodating for us and our dog. They even gave us a welcome gift consisting of a collapsible water bowl, tennis ball, bandana and blanket for our dog upon our arrival.

Had a lovely stay here to check out the college. The hotel is very cute - rooms are nice, clean, trendy - loved it. Enjoyed the common are with coffee and really good tea and the fireplace with sitting area outside. Short walk to college, downtown and good restaurants.

Honestly my only complaint is that I missed the wine tasting because an appointment of mine went long. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The bed was comfy. The shower great. It snowed while I was there so the covered parking was fantastic. The coffee and tea in the lobby was excellent. I will absolutely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends.
