If
you're
looking
for
an
opportunity
to
be
close
to
nature
and
to
learn
from
the
famous
Maasai
people,
this
is
the
place
to
be.
You'll
be
in
a
sturdy,
rugged
tent
with
comfortable
bedding,
with
toilet
and
shower
stations
nearby.
For
the
one
night
I
stayed,
I
had
a
nice
dinner
and
breakfast
in
a
covered
area
overlooking
the
scenic
Great
Rift
Valley
with
local
food
prepared
fresh
at
the
camp.
They
carry
everything
up
to
the
camp
from
a
local
village--even
the
water!
The
meals
were
delicious
and
plentiful
and
made
the
authentic
Maasai
way.
Everything,
from
the
tent
beddings
to
the
dishes,
was
clean
and
tidy.
I
also
had
a
fascinating
walking
tour
that
looped
through
their
property.
The
Maasai
guide
talked
about
their
customs
and
showed
us
how
they
made
use
of
various
local
plants
for
food
and
medicine.
If
you
stay
for
more
than
a
night,
there
are
longer
hikes
they
can
take
you
on,
including
multi-day
hikes.
I
hope
to
do
that
on
my
next
visit.
Everyone
was
friendly
and
helpfully
went
out
of
their
way
to
make
sure
it
was
a
great
experience.
For
travelers
with
a
sense
of
adventure
and
a
desire
to
learn
about
local
cultures,
it
is
definitely
worth
including
a
stay
at
this
camp
while
journeying
through
Kenya.
Incidentally,
I
was
there
in
late
December
when
it
was
pleasantly
warm
during
the
day
and
refreshingly
cool
at
night.
