We
have
had
the
chance
to
explore
Maasai
Mara
this
July,
it
was
perfect
timing
as
the
most
anticipated
migration
had
just
begun..The
best
part
of
this
journey
was
our
stay
at
Mara
Siligi
Camp,
which
made
it
possible
to
enjoy
all
that
is
said.
This
time,
there
was
an
influx
of
visitors
who
wanted
to
explore
the
park
and
hence
the
lodging
options
were
mostly
booked
many
months
in
advance.
Usha,
who
is
a
dear
friend,
and
an
established
wildlife
photographer
runs
a
beautiful
camp
at
the
park,
and
I
reached
out
to
her.
I
must
admit,
she
picked
up
all
pieces
and
made
sure
that
the
program
is
stitched
to
perfection.
Guidance
about
the
travel,
advanced
discussion
about
meals
(as
I
and
kids
were
traveling
from
the
US
where
we
have
been
staying
for
past
couple
of
years
and
hence
the
taste
buds
needed
some
alignment),
safari
arrangements
among
others.
We
found
ourselves
in
a
serene,
boutique
camp
which
is
simple
&
very
clean,a
home
away
from
home,
clearly!
The
staff
–
like
in
most
camps
in
the
park
were
very
cordial,
caring
and
prompt.
Being
locals
who
have
grown
out
of
the
tradition
to
explore
their
horizons,
they
had
a
lot
to
share
over
the
morning
breakfasts
and
evening
tea.
I
must
mention
the
best
masala
tea
and
delicious
tea
cakes
that
we
all
enjoyed
throughout
the
stay.
We
found
other
like-minded
guests;
some
have
now
graduated
to
be
good
friends
already.
Usha
and
the
team
organized
a
special
celebration
on
our
daughter’s
birthday,
and
also
made
sure
that
we
made
it
to
the
skies
(hot
air
balloon
safari)
even
as
it
was
a
last-minute
decision.
Like
all
others
who
have
been
to
this
wonderful
camp,
we
brought
cherished
memories
that
will
remain
with
us
for
this
lifetime.
