Friendly staff, some might be over friendly especially if you are planning on traveling there alone , either as female or Male. The resort needs to do something on the beach boys who are nagging guests about visit to see the dolphins. Be careful when choosing a beachbody not working with the resort directly. If you refuse their offer to take you to the dolphin trip, you might end up being called very unpleasant names, best thing to do is ask the hotel for the person in charge of excursions. Or bette still ignore them and enjoy the lovely beach. Then you'll be safe. Acceptable clean rooms with a patio, witb Afri an themed deco, and Air conditioners that do not work properly. Make sure you have enough data bundles to sustain you through out your stay at Lily because there is NO WIFI CONNECTION AT ALL in the rooms. Either you go all the way to the reception area or at the pool, which is about 10 minutes walk from the accommodation. The breakfast chef is very professional, though ther are no variety of food and drinks from the restaurant but would definitely recommend MAPANGO restaurant. Best Italian pizza and food. If you are doing Bed and breakfast or half day, be ready to spend a few extra coins for drinks as your package does not include this. They do not give this information while booking! Please bring your own insect repellents as this place is full of mosquitoes and Nairobi flies. The room stewards are very kind and friendly. But I wondered why they only sprayed a very small amount of insect spray during night time only, considering the area is quite infested with dengue mosquitoes. Overall, I would rate it a 3/10. There's still a lot to be done.

It's a nice place to stay facing the seven islands.

We stayed in Lily Palms for 2 nights. The resort ist divided into three areas with 3 different room categories. We stayed in the lowest one which was the furthest away from the beach and restaurant. Our room was spacious and for an African standard nice. However, when we first arrived we had sand in the room which suspects that it was not cleaned properly. A lot of people write that the breakfast buffet was not sufficient Fieber we liked it a lot and for us it had the perfect diversity. The beach area is a tiny bit small and shadow is limited. However, the staff is super nice and helpful. We wanted to give 3 stars as well but they made it up. So 4* it is.

The best experience for my family coming to Watamu. The place had a great ambiance and the staff especially Jane Mutua was very friendly with kids. Will definitely be back in the near future. No hesitation to recommend this place for families.

I was there for 3 days and 4 nights. The room was standard,i did not enjoy the food at all!Even thou it was buffet style, nothing stood out. I tried mapango restaurant and the pizza was awazing🤌 The staff however were very kind and friendly except the lady at the reception.

I came here a few times about 3 years ago, my experience then was wonderful. I am not usually a repeat traveler but my first experience was too great it made me come back 3 more times. I traveled during off-peak seasons so I enjoyed the resort and services thoroughly. I had nothing to complain about. The food was great, the staff were friendly and always helpful, the room was clean and being cleaned daily as well, I had the time of my life by their multiple pools and the beach. The Resort is beach front with white sands, really breathtaking especially during sunrise. I made so many international and local friends here with whom I'm still in touch today. I loved my times here. I hope the standards have held up.

A nice hotel some 20 years ago. Big rooms but seriously outdated, mouldy and not well maintained. It is a pity becuase the location is really great, on the beach

The views at Lily Palm are unbeatable (and we went to most of the top resorts for lunch etc). The staff are lovely and the rooms are basic.

One of the worst places i have stayed in, not child friendly at all, and i mean no baby cots available, no baby high chairs, And last day we stayed here the receptionist or management whoever really harassed us, our key wasn't working and the approach they took to solving the issue was worst. Would not recommend wasting money to stay here!!!!

I stayed here with 3 friends for a weekend. Positives- •Pool facilities were great •Location was good • Value for money • Front of house staff were friendly • Book process and as easy and check in was simple • Pizza at the restaurant was good Negatives- • The staff round the pool chat up women. All of us were made to feel uncomfortable at some point. While i understand that sometimes people are being friendly, being pestered and bothered while trying to relax is not okay. Staff asked for photos with us, To come hang and lingered. • The spa. while it was average the price was good • The cocktails didn’t really have ice and came lukewarm. Menu items were not as described • You are given one small bottle of water in your room at check in and it’s not restocked throughout your whole stay

I was there again in from 22 - 26 December, 4 nights. My fourth visit to the resort only this time it was under new management, still Italians. Beautiful pool with scenic view, kids love it as usual. Fairly affordable. Food was good too but deteriorated quickly on the last day as visitor numbers increased. Rooms are old and rustic on the outside but clean and comfortable in the inside. However, the lukewarm reception of locals that Lily Palm is known for across web reviews still lingers on. The new management team have zero hospitality, it’s all about the money from the time you meet Franca, an english-speaking Italian lady at the reception desk. Maurizio, the manager, politically defends their short-comings with the lower value you have paid for. During check-in, they give you diluted juice and carry your bags to your room. During check-out you carry the bags yourself. Local staff are very courteous and polite. They cover up for the outright blatant abuse of hospitality by their superiors. On previous visits drinking water was available freely at multiple points at the facility. Now you have to buy bottled water once you are done with one bottle they give you on the day you check-in. Christmas dinner was well thought of but the entertainment right after sent guests straight to their rooms. My family won a 7 day complimentary stay at the hotel for the following year. The management refused to honour it, taking me in circles when I followed up. And on the day we were to check out, I didn't bother to ask about it because they were hostile towards a late check-out arrangement they had provided for us. It became evident while I was waiting at the reception lounge, I over-hear Franca complain to the manager that she erred by not charging me extra for the late check-out. Sour ending to good holiday, sad. Overall, my kids always enjoyed their stay but this time I’m done with this place.

One is entitled for only one 500ml water even if you stay for more than a day. There's no TV Wifi connection is poor and they don't have DND . Breakfast satisfactory, ac satisfactory and the pool was lovely.

The highlight for us at Lily Palm Resort was the swimming pool. What a location, great depth and well maintained. The rooms were nice and clean as well - needs maintenance soon though.

What a fantastic lovely location Excellent service, staff and management team willing to help and assist you in every way. Staff went the extra mile to assist my aunt who was not able to walk. By giving a special service to her, and not only that also gave her a surprise for her 80th birthday. She was overwhelming please and thanks the whole management and the staffing team for there enormous surprise they gave. Thank you once again from the bottom of our heart for your kind hospitality. We will definitely go back again to Lily Palm Resort. Value wise you can choose according to your requirements from B&B to ALL INCLUSIVE and it's Value for money. Definitely a must for those wishing to enjoy the sun or taking a in the beach. Lily Palm Resort offers a lot of activities as well. Once again thank you for your humble hospitality, can't wait to come back again.

The vibe of this place is just wrong. The person on the reception was so sullen. Everything is just a bit too difficult. The place is run down. Nothing major really - just instilled with the same seeming indifference or attention to detail. One or two staff had a more positive attitude - notably the guy cooking the breakfast omelettes and one of the waiter women. To my mind the issue is as much around the whole management setup. Looking to take your passport without asking, extortionate exchange rate, hospital tags to identify your boarding option all an indication of the customers being a necessary inconvenience to taking your money. Working in a customer service focussed environment everything just seemed off. It’s only advantage was it was cheap but with little cancellation policy you are stuck. It would’ve so easy to fix this place for limited cost but you’d need to care to do that. Customer focus is just not there!
