Love this beach as it changes so much…sometimes long stretches of white sand, sometimes covered in seaweed. Beautiful to look at, amazing colours, great to swim or paddle even when the tide is out as so many pools remain.

Nice beach considering proximity to Mombasa downtown. Sometimes the sea weed can get too much

It's a clean beach, not highly populous and there are places you can leave your prized possession for safe custody, of course at a small manageable fee.

Very clean and beautiful atmosphere for a public beach! Lots of family friendly crowds and activities. There are many lifeguards for safety and the minimal pollution makes the beach a great cheap way to spend your day! There are also many food options as well as locals who can take you out on a boat for a reasonable price.

Beach was nice, relatively clean. The wind is a bit crazy so you get sand everywhere. You need a chair to avoid. Also the camel owners did this to one of their camels when it didn't want to sit down. The camel wanted to walk with the other one down the beach and the owner tied his legs and let it walk 300m down the beach and back again with its legs tied with the rope rubbing on his ankles. I wouldn't ride on one of these because of the treatment of the animals. They were scarred and branded too.

The beach boys will drive you crazy as a woman but I still enjoyed the visit there. It's clean by the way

Abit unkempt sea shore, but the tide is cool especially after 5pm. There are available vendors of costumes and changing rooms, snacks and other souvenirs. It's not as clean as years back when the county actually gave a damn about the beach.

I love it, it's a beautiful beach

The 💦 is really good and it is very peaceful inside... It feels like the time has stopped and the only thing you can feel is your whole self.... Its an amazing place for vacation, escape from daily town noise and to just relax and enjoy your time.

The beach is clean, has a few traffic so privacy is guaranteed and yes it is safe. There are some few shops and vibandaz so you'll get some food in case you get hungry and some water if incase you get thasty. You can also rent floaters and swimming costumes at around 150 bob/ 1usd

Nice view and the sandy feel ...but the weeds put me off all in all beautiful ocean as always!!! Nice walks on the beaches from one end to the other but in high tides you have to be careful as the path gets blocked...you will enjoy and your kids will too

Lovely beach however there's just too much sea weed on the shore and the beach boys have a bad habit of inappropriately touching women swimmers in the name of teaching them to swim. Boat rides scuba diving jet skiing available. A bit pricey but its worth it

Nice beach for relaxing and swimming.I could have given 5 star if it had more facilities at the site like for hire e.g jet ski,kites,glass boat.If local could dedicate a day for cleaning the beach it would have been a perfect get away.

I love the fact that there are huge numbers of people here and the beach stretches a long distance. Wanna walk on the shore or swim in the ocean just make the choice 😉
