These Sassanid rock reliefs are another beautiful example of Persian art in the heart of Kermanshah. The area has a lake and several giant trees that double the beauty of the place. A must-see highlight while in beautiful Kermanshah.

A must visit if you are nearby don’t miss the opportunity. You can park quite close to the main attraction, the entrance is cheap and worth the visit. Quite peaceful and rich historic place surrounded by the mountains and water, if it’s the Spring time it’ll be greenish and the water ways will be filled, enjoy it if you can! Love the memories of many years visiting this place with my family n friends !

Very nice place to visit. Those places have always been an attraction to people. The carvings are great. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to get directly in front of them. By a distance of about 10-15 m you can hardly get any detail. Especially the carvings on the side walls of the big cave can't be seen. Don't miss that place especially during Springtime, it looks a bit like an alpine panorama.

One of the most important archeological sites in Iran. A place that should see, if you are interested in history, art and architecture. It has three pieces from Sassanid area.

It's very beautiful with some ancient reliefs belong to Sassanid era. It's a relief from qajar era too. It has some springs that the biggest one's called Anahita spring. Every season you can come Kermanshah and visit Taq e Bostan but it's the most beautiful in spring and fall. Enjoy your trip.

When you go there, you get a strange feeling. It is as if the mountains are talking to you, they are telling you about the forgotten beautiful and mystical past.

Amazing site to see , especially for an archeologist . It goes back to Sasanid Period and you can see the reliefs in Crowning Shahpur the second and the third , Ardeshir the second and Khosro Parviz. To me its a world heritage site but its not in the list yet .

I was there for the first time in my life, my friends which was born in Kermanshah told me that this place was a one of the most beautiful places in Kermanshah to explore, with the lake full of water and waterfalls in the middle of the park, but suddenly now there's no more clean water and greens in the area.

It is a collection of lithographs and lithographs of the Sassanid period which is located in Iran in Taghbestan neighborhood in the northeast of Kermanshah and in the west of Iran. This collection was built in the third century AD and has great artistic and historical value. Several historical scenes such as the coronation of Khosrow Parviz, the coronation of Ardeshir II, the coronation of Shahpour II and III, as well as several inscriptions (inscriptions) in the side script and inscriptions of boar hunting by riders and playing music with harp instruments are engraved in it. The presence of mountains, springs and a lake next to it, has turned this place into a beautiful promenade that has been considered from ancient times to the present day. Taghbestan is considered one of the oldest and most beautiful ancient monuments in Iran

This work is more than 2000 years old and is considered one of the most important ancient works of Iran. The description of each inscription is written in English in front of the inscription so that tourists know its history. There is a parking lot near this place and a taxi stand is located in front of it.

1- You will fall in love when you see this place, especially in autumn and spring. 2- To me, changing the area around the TAQ BOSTAN from a pool to a lake and creek and reviving the fountain that happened about 3 years ago, is one of the best decisions. 3- One of the best times for photography is at night when the moon is in the sky.

Tagh e Bostan located in Kermanshah province and that was my first time visiting this city. I was expecting more developed (from tourist attractions aspects) and preserved historical area, unfortunately, despite it has a great potential, but it has been neglected. Kermanshah and Ilam provinces have extra value from historical point of views and they need more attention.
