The best food around if you want to eat local. What is the point to fly to Bali and eat expensive steak or cannelloni. Just eat local as part of your travel experience and this is the best place in area. Very cheap. Enough big portions. Wide choice.

(Translated by Google) I drank fruit juices here at 10k (50 rubles) I could not find cheaper in the area, I didn’t eat anything from the menu because Indonesian food is bad for my stomach. The prices for dishes are below average, there are always people in the cafe, the interior is ascetic in Indonesian (Original) Пила здесь фруктовые соки по 10к (50руб) дешевле на районе не нашла, из меню ничего не кушала т.к. индонезийская еда вредна для моего желудка. We made the decision to eat here based on all of the great reviews. We were not disappointed. We could watch the kitchen as they skillfully prepared all of the dishes in the wok. Everything was served hot & fresh. The prices are so reasonable and the place had a welcoming/homey feel. As we left, the staff joked “see you tomorrow” Don’t miss this gem.

Amazing place, a bit hidden from the main road but worth to check. Food was delicious and if you want the real Indonesian experience, you must go there. The price are so cheap compared to other restaurants so you have no excuse to not try it. Bonus: cats are sometimes chilling around making this place even better :)

Really cheap for really good food. It’s not the most fancy restaurant but for local food it is perfect. It’s a bit hide from the main road so there is not all of the noise but you eat outside so prepare yourself against mosquitoes and maybe you’ll be hot but it’s worth the try

My party and I stumbled upon Warung Kampung Indonesian Restaurant on Google Maps, which is conveniently located across from our resort. The menu features typical Indonesian dishes, albeit with fewer options than we had hoped for. Nevertheless, the food is adequate and delicious enough to satisfy our cravings. The service is friendly and attentive, and the price is quite reasonable considering the area. However, the food is a bit bland. The restaurant is usually busy, but tables tend to empty out quickly as people come in for a quick bite.

Authentic Javanese restaurant. Eating here feels like my grandma cooked for me. I even order more rice to accompany my dishes since their foods are so good. Price is surprisingly very cheap for Bali standard. The place is quite hidden from main street since you need to enter a small dark alley a little bit. Just follow the sign provided there. Very much recommended.

They’ve got good reviews for many reasons but partly definitely because of the price! So much food for such good value! Mie goreng special and cap cay was delicious. Great way to enjoy truly local dishes at local prices.

This small open air restaurant was just what we needed after walking miles at the beach. We got some very refreshing watermelon juice and a nice cold beer, as well as the fried chicken with sambal matah and the fried rice. It was all very delicious and exactly the right portions! We cleaned our plates. It really felt like a traditional Balinese eatery - right down to the adorable stray kitties that were hanging out with us during our meal. 10/10 would recommend!

Great place for those who are travelling on a budget. It's hidden around the corner from the road so it doesn't get too busy. A nice simple menu of Indonesian foods at very cheap prices. I had a Nasi Goreng Special and Teh Panas which came to 25k IDR. Great price, tasty and with a good portion size. Be sure to come here if staying in Legian.

Great little local restaurant, just off the main road. Very cheap in comparison to just around the corner and serves delicious, fresh meals. I had the fried chicken, with rice and water spinach and garlic all for 50k ($5 Aud). Will be back to try more things on the menu.

First dinner in Bali and a very tasty one! The nasi goreng was very fragrant, water spinatch with chicken well stir fried and balanced - galanga being a novelty for us in there! And deep fried tofu, tempeh and eggplant tasted fresh and had a delicious sambal accompanying! Juices were tasty too, last but not least friendly staff and cook!

Had dinner here the first night in Kuta. I had the Ikan Goreng Sembal Matah 👌🏽 Fish was fresh, the worker let me see the fish beforehand. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t tilapia. I don’t know the english name, but in Hawaii we call it Akule and that was what was served! Bomb! It was crunchy deep fried to perfection. I plan to go back and eat there again before I leave Bali! We got there it wasn’t busy, by the time we were done the almost all the tables were filled. I recommend you try this place 😄

What a wonderful hidden gem. A great local Indonesian restaurant.Always a good sign when locals eat there. The mie goreng special at 20k was great, some of the mains are smallish but with rice they are a full meal. Beer was icy cold. Service was fast and friendly. We will be back!

Ordered water spinach with chicken, fried tofu and a large beer. Beer was ok. She brought me water spinach without chicken and water spinach was stiff stems only and I could hardly chew them. She didn’t also have enough tofu and brought me tofu with some strange thing with sunflower seeds in them! I understand that I may have ordered not the most popular dish. She could have told me that she didn’t have the proper ingredients and recommended what’s on hand fresh and had saved my dinner!

Located just out of the main road, hidden away from the noise and hustle of the surrounding madness of Kuta. Authentic and very tasty dishes. Cheap too. In fact, the cheapest I've seen so far. Most dishes are between 20-30k as opposed to 60-80k in most other places, so very good value for money. I opted for chicken in soy sauce and it was soo good. Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and the peaceful ambience here. Recommend it.

If you want to eat like a local, this is quite a nice choice. It's tucked away in a small alley a short distance away from Kuta Beach. There's a big sign by the main road Jl Melasti that guides people in, with a short walk of less than 20 metres. You won't miss the sign if you're walking from the area around Hotel Magani towards the beach. The food is pretty much like home-cooked food—nothing fanciful in looks or preparation methods but pleasing in taste. The prices are quite low, rather value-for-money. We had four dishes and two glasses of juices for a total of just IDR145,000. My friend and I were there for dinner when it started to rain. Not the most romantic of places but it provided a good enough ambience for a night of chillax, with the rain sliding off the roof and splattering on the ground just next to us. Oh, there are also two or three cats that frequent the restaurant. We had fun too, just watching them play.

Great little warung tucked away form the hussle and bustle. Mie goreng was great, mixed with the sambal sauce even better. Went here a few times on our trip. Access next to holy guacamole down the laneway.

Food was ok. Not that great but also not that bad. Could easily find better fried rice place that mix the rice proper. I got too many part of rice that didn’t mixed well. Like in the picture. They were just pure white rice. I found at least 7 of them and they were not that small. I wish they put more effort of mixing rice. The egg came cold and dry on the too of the rice The papaya juice I ordered is just 3-4 small cut papaya piece which was extracted from old almost rotten bigger papaya cut. Possibly stayed too long in the freezer. I saw the man took it from the freezer (taking really long like collecting several big cuts that is almost rotten) and kinda hide it to the back and make smaller cut of them. Possibly trying to get some bit out of them then put them all for my juice order. Even so, i can see it isn’t fresh and almost inedible. Regardless of that, this is possibly one of the cheapest place to buy meals tho. It is good for people who doesn’t really know local food. It will be still nice for them. If you have been going eating local food in real local place then this might be nothing special and better to go to less tourist area with that price. That’s why I gave 3 stars just the food. The drink is 0 star. So i give them 2 stars in total

Really affordable food which is lovely as well! The nasi goreng and mee goreng special were to die for. The fried egg for 5000 was amazing too! It was a little hard to find so you have to look out for a small sign that says it's 20 metres away. It's not situated on the main road and you need to take a slight detour off of it. There are a few cats around so take note if you're not comfortable with that. 10/10 experience overall.
