As of today, June 2022, Bali airport is not the best airport to stay for long. Trollies are placed inside the airport and not at the drop off. Porters stand at taxi drop off charging 50,000 IDR just to drop you off at check-in counters which is like 200m far. Check-in and Immigration was easy, no hassle there. You cannot carry any liquid past security so your bottles will be emptied and hence, no water at all. The agony starts when you realize there is no free water at airport coz the machines are out of order and you will need to purchase water. God bless those people who do not have IDR at airport. PRO TIP - CHEAPEST WATER WILL BE AT WH SMITH NEAR DEPARTURE GATE 1. SAVE YOUR MONEY GUYS! The departure gates have few charging ports but they do not work all the time. Let me know if you are lucky. Same case with travelators. The only positive thing post security check are TOILETS. They are situated opposite every gate and clean. Hope this helps!

An international airport that functions as a center for Indonesian tourism and a flight hub. The atmosphere of tourism has been felt since landing, treated to a very beautiful view and the magnificent GWK statue. The friendliness of the service personnel in Bali makes both domestic and foreign tourists comfortable. There are many money changers available at the airport using trusted bank rates. Transportation access can use a taxi or rental transportation.

For several airports I had visited, I sensed a unique feeling of this Bali's airport. Didn't forget about how pleasant the airport crews uniform was. When you arrived here, got off from the airplane, you felt Bali atmosphere at the moment.

This place is so magical and colorful. This is the most beautiful airport view I saw in my life just because of the backside Sea view. The Waves and plan windows are the perfect combination for a peaceful traveler. I visited the place in Nov 2022 at the time of the G20 summit. The place has too many attractions to capture with your camera. The place is well-cleaned and the staff on the ground is so helpful and polite. Having a perfect showcase of the Bali vibes at the airport. Issues I faced during my visit - 1. The long queue to collect your boarding pass. 2. Frequently change the flight entrance gate, 3 times I need to switch my gates. 3. Customs are immigration process are so easy and peoples are so helpful.

Overall a great experience at the airport - for the variety of food available (for a morning flight), and the fuss-free experience I had generally. Arrived and departed on an international flight on a weekday. There were many food options available for breakfast, after clearing immigration (ie while waiting for your flight). Some of them are situated next to each other, while some are situated closer to the boarding gates (the latter is a great idea in my opinion). Suspect that many shops closed during the pandemic lull period, as there were many placeholder barricades at where shops should operate. Free WiFi was not available at the bigger cafe dining areas (only those belonging to the lounges were seen). But I did see stickers saying free WiFi was provided at the seating areas near the boarding gates. At the departure gate, the initial bits involved using digital gates to check that we had (valid) boarding passes was great (in my opinion). Arrived at 7am, and did not have to wait for immigration at all (the counters were empty). Security checks were a breeze too. The cafes available within the departure area are not found online (from what I searched) - could not find them on Google Maps, nor on the airport’s website. The immigration queues during arrival were much longer, and took way more time to get pass. Also, many, many pretty aggressive taxi tours were seen at the arrival pick-up area - which made the experience somewhat unpleasant.

An excellent airport that served Bali. The airport is clean, well maintained, have great natural lights, and the airport is not too crowded. The domestic side of the airport is excellent. The security is friendly and quick. There are many food available before and after the security clearance. They have fast food and many restaurants in both side, though the better ones are located before the security clearance. The airport have many good stores, though the price is higher as expected from stores in the airport. The airport isn’t that crowded as the spaces are spacious and there are ample seatings available. Most of the domestic departures are using jet bridges - a comfortable experience. The airport is very clean, all of the toilets are clean and well maintained.

The airport was designed uniquely. From the first look, I can tell that it's the airport of Bali. The immigration worked really fast. The process of claiming baggages took a lot of time since the machines did all the job. It took me about an hour to claim my baggages. When I left Bali, after security check and other stuff, I was kind of lost there because there was the shopping area right there and the signs were hard to see. Everything was clean in the airport. There were some charge stations for people to charge their phone. There was nowhere to pour water into your bottles so you can leave your plastic bottles outside and buy some inside. There were some chairs which looked the same as the chairs of the dentist clinic. You can rest there and look outside the windows. On that day, there was an earthquake 20 mins before I got on the airplane. It was a 5.5 earthquake 63km from Denpasar and many people were scared and they ran everywhere. I looked outside and saw people worked normally, so I just sat there and watched people ran.

The airport is quite impressive if I have to say, actually to me the design of it looks very fun. Was a really easy process to go through check in each security gate, and immigration both in departure plus arriving. Everything was just a really smooth process, and at the time we didn’t have to take our shoes off to make it through the security gate. Lots of restaurants, and shops to keep you entertained while waiting for your flight or just arriving looking for a snack. Plus their parking garage, and when you walk in for the first time into Bali itself is such an amazing experience. Definitely one of my top airports that I would enjoy to chill in.

It's too calm, greenery everywhere... People in Bali are so helpful, so sweet, trustworthy.. Their nature is unbelievable.. They are ready to serve you for your any need.. They don't stole anything infact they themselves will return you even if you forgot your iphone.. They didn't blow horn, while driving as they respect their belief that the person driving before you must have some problem so, he or she has stopped.. They don't even try to overtake.. Bali full of love, happiness, calmness, cleanliness, an amazing place to visit..

Sad shell of what was a beautiful airport. C19 took a toll on Bali. They are hard at work to renovate and rent out the retail spots again. The lounge operations are limited with box meals, but the service was attentive and always with a smile. Immigration, security, and check-in was perfect.

Nice Airport with beautiful scenery especially at night.. as for suggestions, maybe the prayer room for Muslims should be upgraded more so that it will be more comfortable. Lots of mosquitoes at the mini park. Besides that, I love the arrival interior design area as it is so beautiful.

Nice, quick and basic airport to get the job done. The arrivals immigration has multiple counters and we got through in approx 10 minutes. The baggage service was quick. The departure experience was good, every step was quick and efficient, the lounges at the airport are a run down - we tried 2 and both were old and rusted.

Staffs is helpful. Before check in luggage it was outdoor and a few restaurant to choose. After check in and continue they are actually many restaurants that are closed to gates and before gates. Western and local are available. If you think outside is too hot maybe inside is more nice and chill for a while before boarding

Bali international airport is straight forward. Not too big and not too small and the gates are easy to find. There are tons of seats but they’re not very comfy I must say. If you have a red eye flight like mine, this airport is good to be at. Lots of food options too and clean restrooms. If you’re departing, make sure to have more time cos the queues are always long.

Here is a step-by-step guide to visitors on clearing immigration and printing QR code for customs clearance: Step 1: Alight from aircraft. Proceed towards immigration counter to get passport stamped. Step 2: Proceed to baggage claim. Go towards the wall where there are a few computers for people to submit customs declaration. Luggages would take a while before they will show up at the Belt. Step 3: Fill in details of personal particulars like passport, flight, accommodation, and made declarations by answering the questions. Step 4: After pressing submit, a QR code will be shown. Take a picture of this, and press β€œprint” to get a hard copy. Step 5: After collecting your luggage, proceed to customs and show the QR code. They will scan it and motion you to walk out. Hope it helps!

My experience was here was smooth and friendly, staff was supportive. Airport is designed and decorated with Bali style statues and artwork, which makes it unique and beautiful. Before corona visa was free for Indian tourists, now it’s 35$ so don’t be surprised. I will suggest you to install Grab or GoJek for taxi before leaving airport. Duty free is also okay, I bought white wine for gift , overall good experience.

Well maintained airport. Check in, security, transit, boarding was smooth. The airport is large with a wide variety of shopping and dining options. The boarding gates area provide an unobstructed view of the runway for catching takeoff and landing of planes while you wait for your flight.

Actually, this airport is quite small for the international category, but before the COVID-19 pandemic this airport was very crowded with international airlines because Bali is the main tourist destination in Indonesia for foreign tourists and local tourists. when this review was written July 30, 2022, the airport is starting to get busy again even though it's not normal like before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Efficiency meets Balinese charm as you navigate through this well-designed airport. The cultural touches, from traditional architecture to local artwork, create an immersive experience that introduces you to the essence of Bali even before you step outside. The seamless facilities and courteous staff make the travel experience a breeze, setting the tone for the adventures that await. It's not just a departure or arrival point; it's a prelude to the magic that Bali promises to unfold.

Good airport view, sea side with Bali architecture. One of alternative transit airport. If you transit for long time, just go outside of airport and you will find food court and fresh air.

√ This international airport is organized, decorated and has state of the art technology. √ Not big airports but more than enough to serve the purposes.

Airport procedures are fast in normal times. But beware of traffic if your staying in Canggu for example, you might get late. You can find decent food and beverages inside the airport.
