Negative: The rooms are not well maintained and have a bad finishing and not enough ventilation. The bathrooms are disgusting and pathetic. Sink and toilet are stained!!!!!! Water floods as you take your shower in the tiny shower cubicle. The ceiling was falling off. They use a blanket instead of duvet cover. There is no wifi as mentioned. We had to wait for breakfast till 9am. Though a budget hotel, hygiene should be maintained. Positive: The outdoor ambience is very good. The gardens are well kept and beautiful. The staff are also friendly. There is free parking

The service time was long. We had to wait upto an hour for food. The rooms have bad electric work done. The shower head blew while we were taking a shower .

Service; good, the receptionist was very kind, the kitchen staff was pleasant as well Food; kienyeji chicken was really tough, couldn't have more than a bite. The breakfast was good until tea came in ?melamine cups....really? Ambience; Gardens are clean and well arranged, nice place to hang out in. The rooms are too far out in the back corner of the compound(maybe get a service car to ferry people to and fro), and improve on the hygiene( the toilet sink was stained, the bathroom shower knobs were broken)

Great serene place which is safe to unwind in the countryside enjoying great service with a variety of food and drinks from both Meru and across Kenya. There is conferencing facilities unmatched by many other facilities around the location and are clean, well ventilated and peacefully quiet considering they are on the highway. With a children’s recreational facility adjacent to where the gardens are and parents can supervise their children playing from the comforts of their tables. Well priced accommodation for visiting and staying guests. There is state of the art Villas and also normal single rooms for a smaller party. There are plenty of rooms and can accommodate a unity group for the stay. Located at the Meru-Maua road that also can lead to Meru National Park.

Definitely the best ground for hosting birthday parties, corporate parties, weddings and musical events.

Good meals. Very tired furniture For the amount of money you'll spend here. Nothing fancy, Inflated pricing in my opinion!

They have the best cottages that can be cheap on you if you are a group of 3 to 6 individuals. You can easily cost share and enjoy the environment as you stay there and tour Eastern region. I haven't enjoyed their meals yet hence the low rating from me.

Do not let the name deceive you. This is an exceptional hotel in the outskirts of Meru close to KEMU University. Apart from the traffic into and out of Meru CBD, the drive to Gatimene Gardens is scenic and enjoyable. The facility is well maintained with more cottages and rooms in the Annexe which is at the back side of the compound and a bit far from the main hotel. However this offers complete peace and quiet and room service is offered to guests. Beautiful modern designed warm rooms even during the rainy season. It is also a popular wedding venue complete with gardens for the wedding. Landscaping is exceptional will properly manicured lawns. Small piece of hospitality heaven in Meru County.

Gatimene gardens hotel is a nice place well maintained with top class food especially nyamachoma. The gardens offers nice facilities compared to other hotels within Meru county.

We had to wait 30 minutes plus to be served. No, actually we had to go look for someone to serve us. Food took quite some time to be ready, we had to order more drinks. (An hour plus) Please get better wait staff or atleast train them to make sure all areas are attended to.

I stayed at their deluxe rooms and they were quite good. The water pressure from the bathroom were low hence didn't enjoy the shower. Spacious rooms I can say but for their standard rooms, I didn't like the fact that they're far from the rest of the hotel and the place is quite cold and rooms squeezed. Food was 👍

The Hotel is really nice!

The Deluxe rooms were leaking, bathtub had rusty water, Was unusable, asked for eggs was told it will take a while to get them from the store. Toilet had stains, no wifi. However, very friendly night Receptionist. At the cost they have for deluxe , I would have expected better.

I would recommend enjoy the afternoon with your family and friends but now a sleep over
