A group from the Fish On Fishing Club of New Port Richey did a day of offshore fishing with Capt. Mike and Mate Ken on the Yellow boat. It was a great day and we ended up with 9 really good-sized Yellow Tail Snapper and 7 Dolphin. We fish a lot, many times with guides and on head boats but this was a truly memorable trip. These guys are great to fish with and I recommend them to everyone.

Excellent experience the captain was AWESOME! We had a great time he knew exactly where to go to put us on the fish. Was able to limit out. Even caught a few cool fish we was table to keep. Even had the opportunity to fight a 6 ft shark foraging time before we had to let it go. Highly recommend this place best fishing I have ever paid for!!!!

Was able to make it out on the maiden voyage of the FishMonster MAX. Had a great trip. The captain put us on fish, threw out lots of chum, and we had fish all around the boat. The snapper bite was great. Clean boat, great crew, looking forward to going out again. -Capt. Jim Musselman

Everything including Jeffery at the check-in office, to the cleanliness of the boat, to the fishing itself, this company is nothing short of outstanding!!! From the time you get there, Captain Marlin and his crew go out of their way to make you feel welcome. In this day and age that's not always easy to find. Novice at fishing??? No problem, they make sure you're taken care of. Thank you to Captain Marlin and his entire team, you guys are legends. Oh, and the fish were delicious too!

My wife and I went on the Island Jane morning snorkeling trip. I didn't fully realize the value of this trip when we booked it. First and foremost we found out this is the last privately owned outfit on Key West. We love supporting local so we were extremely happy to discover this even if it was by accident. While all the other tours went out on big catamarans with huge groups we were cruising on a spacious sailboat with a group of less than 20. The crew members (Kaylie and Jenna I think) were fantastic and made the experience even more enjoyable. The snorkeling was great and we even had drinks provided on the way back to land. My only regret is we forgot to bring cash to tip these hard working gals. I know, shame on us! If someone from Island Jane is able to provide us with a way to send them funds electronically we'd be more than happy to do so!

Wow these people will do everything possible to make sure you have a great trip. April 4 23 trip with Capt Beaudy and Mate Brendan. Rough weather but these boats handled it beautifully. Capt kept us on fish for the entire trip. A lot of weeds and rough day pulling 7 lines. Brendan is amazing at working the lines. No tangled lines and always free of weeds. I have been on dozens of charters and Fish Monster is by far the most professional and hardest working.

Didn’t have a reservation just happen to be walking by when the boat was loading and they let us join the trip. We had a great day - Captain made sure we found fish and Luke and Max were so helpful to all the guest. We caught several keepers and had a local restaurant cook them for us Had such a great time we went back next day!!

You won’t find a better Captain and Deck Mate in the Keys! Your experience matters when going out. This team makes your time worth it and makes you feel comfortable and part of the crew. Not worth looking anywhere else.

Awesome trip. My husband slayed the Yellowtail! I watched the crew and how well they performed gentle instructions on various issues with bait and casting. Good day on the water.

Took two trips. First was with Brittney and Tim for a sunset cruise. Turned out my family wax the only ones that booked so we ended up with a private cruise. The second trip was the next day for snorkeling. Again we had Brittney and I believe Eric. Everyone was extremely friendly , helpful, etc. I can’t say enough good things. Highly recommend!!

Super fun half day fishing trip! Capt Chase, Kip, Jennifer and Ben were such a great crew!! Jennifer, you were an angel for helping me help my hubs get his sea legs!!! I can’t thank you enough for your help & for being a great fishing buddy!!! Met some great people, caught some nice fish and had a delicious lunch back at the dock from our catch!! Definitely will be booking again on our next trip to Key West!

My son and I went snorkeling, we had the most amazing experience. The crew were super friendly and accommodating. Simple to sign up and have a wonderful time. I highly Recommend it.

This tour was really great. We enjoyed the boat ride. The water is so clear it made the snorkeling really easy and fun.

My family had a great time. We caught lots of fish. My daughter’s fish was even Facebook worthy. I was so glad that Max took the photo of her catch since I had my rod in hand and couldn’t manage to get the photo. Many thanks to Lou for unraveling my birds nest and thanks to Max also for noticing when my daughter started to feel a bit sea sick and he gave her a ginger lollipop. I have just a couple suggestions to give: Make more rounds with all guests. It seemed a few people were getting more attention and the better bait than others. I have never baited a hook before but was forced to because other guests were getting more attention and the rest of my family had there lines in the water. I only used the small amount of the better bait (some sort of fish) to bait my hook and it was minimal. Overall I would recommend them and I would do it again.

A giant puffer fish, hammerhead shark….. and some yellowtail snappers.. success on the high seas!! Our guides were amazing!! We wanted to go do some fishing while in Key West - these guys did not disappoint. Easy to book and you board right there in the harbor. Clean boat, safe captain, great guides and always there to help during our 5 hour fishing adventure. Costs about $120pp plus tip but well worth every penny. You can buy beers and snacks on the boat during the day and equipped with 2 bathrooms. If your feeling too hot, just step inside the AC Equipped main cabin and cool down. Highly recommend for you and your family - boat can accommodate 45, but that would be way too many... we had 22 people and it was just about right.

Had a fantastic trip with Captain Chase and the Crew! Ben and Emily were a great help and actually caught a bunch of fish! Also part of a dolphin race back to the harbor! I’d highly recommend this trip. Best fishing trip ever!

We have followed FishMonster on Facebook for years. When we planned our honeymoon trip this was my husband’s request to charter with. We walked the marina the day before our split charter and met Marlin. A super guy. Bodie and Brandon were on the Reel Deal with us and they were awesome! For 2 people the split charter was the way to go as it was much more affordable than chartering a whole boat. The second trip with them was on the FishMonster Max with Luke, Max and Andy. It was a little crowded but again we had an awesome time. Luke and Max were so accommodating working with my husband rigging up lines per my husband’s request to try to hook something big. If we come back to Key West we will definitely be booking with them again. Also, if you are just walking through A&B Marina, you can buy a cup of fish from FishMonster to feed the tarpons. If you are lucky you’ll see large bull sharks too!

If you are going to go deep sea fishing in Key West, this is your boat! This was our second time on this boat and we will definitely go again. Max was the most attentive and amazing deckhand, Capt. Cassandra and Emily in the galley equally amazing. Emily referred us to a Caribbean Island restaurant on Duval that prepared a 3 course family style meal for us that was unbelievable! Tip for ya, pay the extra $$ for stern seats you get 2 different options of fishing there.

The trip was great. Especially the day before a typical storm hit. Our captain took us to some great spots, while also being cognizant of the sea getting rougher and moving is to more calm areas. I can't say enough good things about our crew. The two deck hands were moving like lightning cutting bait, helping people remove hooked fish, and giving insight into the area and the fish we caught. The star of the show was the wonderful woman in the galley who also helped put the deck hands. She brought a small child down from full meltdown to fishing champion in just minutes. Overall great experience

We had an incredible time on our fishing trip with FishMonster Max. Our 8 year old son was so excited to catch “the first and the biggest fish” of our group. The crew was AMAZING answering all our questions, helping us with our fish and being just genuinely cool people. You can tell they love what they do. Jennifer was quick with the drinks and a laugh, and Andy was so fast to respond when we’d pluck a fish out of the water and weren’t sure if it was a keeper. It was the perfect fishing day for our family. We will definitely book again when we are in the Keys.

Booked this trip as a 25th anniversary surprise for hubby and it was worth it!!! I wasn’t going to fish but Jennifer convinced me I’d have fun & enjoy —-glad I did it now!!! The crew (Capt Chase, Capt Kip, Jennifer & Ben) were super friendly and made everything easy!! The boat was very clean and ran smooth! Kip gave great directions on how to use the rod & reels, how to hold it and what to do (& NOT to do) when we caught a fish. Ben was fun and helpful (thanks for unraveling my reel) and Chase was friendly & a great captain— PS: thanks for the fish tacos recommendation! Special thanks to Jennifer for being my fishing buddy (extreme thanks to helping me out with the lollipops), you were such a helpful blessing on our first charter! This crew truly enjoy their jobs and it shows! They were great!! (SN: hope your boys’ weekend was fun, Ben!) We went out about 6 miles (I think) and we’re able to catch enough for lunch! It was a slow fishing day but the trip was still fun!! We, personally, caught 2 yellowtail and 2 grunts which was plenty for our lunch. Not sure how much others caught, but we all went home with fish! I can’t speak for everyone but hubby & I really enjoyed our day!! We will DEFINITELY book with FishMonster Max again!!!! Thanks again to Chase, Kip, Jennifer & Ben for a terrific day of fishing & on the water!!

My family and I had a blast on the FishMonster Max boat! Ken, Chris, & Jen were also helping us out with bringing our fish in and keeping us comfy us with any beverage/snack needs. We caught enough yellowtail, lane snapper, and grunts for dinner for the 6 of us and got some great pictures along the way! Thanks everyone for a great day on the water yesterday! It was a blast!

Why only 5 stars? There should be 100 for this charter company. Went out on a half day fishing trip, and caught fish almost the whole time. Baby groupers loved my line, so it was back in for them to grow up (grouper isn’t in season) Captain Kip found us a great spot and we were catching fish as soon as we dropped our lines in. The crew was so fun, if we hadn’t caught any fish, it still would have been a great day. Be smart, take some bonine, or the equivalent before you go. It can get a little bumpy. We met great people, and can vote Fish Monster for the best company in the Keys.

A group of 4 of us took a half day fishing trip with FishMonster. We had a great time and caught some beautiful fish! Crew was fun and very helpful. Would not hesitate to book with them again the next time we’re in Key West.

Awesome time, I will come back for this fishing trip again! Robert wink suggested I used this charter company and he was definitely right! You can bring your own cooler and snacks. Also they have snacks and drinks on the boat. Definitely get the stern seats #1 - 6. Best seats. We caught 27 fish total and then they cut the fish for us. For free, can tip. We sure did :). After we took them to a restaurant to be cooked (almost any restaurant will do it for you). It was 23$ a plate for us at the restaurant we chose. They grilled and fried are fish plus fish tacos. It was amazing. This trip over all is amazing.

Had a great day out with Fish Monster! Deckhand Andy was fabulous! My son caught 5 fish, as well as my husband and father. The captain moved the boat several times to find good catch spots. I highly recommend this charter! They tagged our catches and offered to fillet them for us to take.

My wife and I had such a great experience on the Island Jane Floridays snorkeling tour. The crew today in the afternoon charter was exceptional. They took us right up to the reef, explained everything, and were just alot of fun to be with. The views of the reef are phenomenal. A must for your vacation. We loved our tip. So worth the little money this costs. Thank you Island Jane!

We were pleasantly surprised by the experience we had with the staff from start to finish with our excursion. On the boat Kaylee our captain was so informative and knowledgeable on her skill set we knew we were in good hands, and Jenna assisted her with everything and made us feel as comfortable and settled in as possible. All the guests were smiling from start to finish, and the sail was wonderful to the location to and from. The intimate setting of the boat, and size of guest capacity made it that much more of a perfect setting as well. I have been on plenty of snorkeling trips but on bigger and more crowded boats and now I know it definitely takes away from the experience.

First, I want to say the Captain and his 1st Mate are outstanding and hospitable...A++ staff. Would go back just for them. The reserving/ordering online is easy; checking in with the team at the boat was a breeze, and the entire process was professional and smooth. Free drinks and sodas. I would love to see a cheese/fruit plate added to the trip, but other than it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend this team. They deserve all the tips that they receive.

You couldn’t have asked for a nicer crew or more amazing staff! I had the most fun and I was just spectating. If you’re looking to have the time of your life, definitely book a fishing excursion with this company. They are so responsive when asked any question (and I asked several dumb ones).

Had a great catch on the max. We had 16 fish in 3 hours. The boat has plenty of room and the inside galley was nice and cool. Will be the go to boat for us in the future. Captian and team were very helpful and on the ball. Look forward to many adventures with this team. #Stringer 6!

Exceptional! Full day trip! Captain and mate were a pleasure to be with! Both were knowledgable and in top of everything! We seen sea turtle, man o war, frigates, very blessed to have caught yellowtail and black grouper! First sea charter and I will definately go again! I’m old, out of shape and weak…but was still able to catch fish (they are tough buggers)! Thanks to Fishmonster, Capt Mike and Brandon! 1 down on my bucket list!

Very friendly and helpful staff! We asked for backwater flats fishing trip specific for tarpon and snook, and that’s what we got at a good price thanks to Captain Chris. Highly recommend!
