The lighthouse and Keepers Quarters are together for one admission fee. Historically correct property across from Hemmingway house. Plan to spend 1 1/2 hours. Climb to top of lighthouse and enjoy the view of all Key West. Take your time as spiral stairs are very steep and their is not much room to pass folks. the keeper quarters has a very detailed history of the original lighthouse (destroyed by hurricane) along with the history of the new one from civil war to decommission. Their are sound boards along the walls that will give you details on the people and families.

It's nice to see how was life in those times. It's kinda spooky imagining yourself in that corner of the world being the sole responsible of keeping the lighthouse alive Not really exciting honestly. Only for the fans

There wasn’t much inside the museum but seeing the old equipments was quite nice. The admission fee is included in the lighthouse admission fee so it is great to have a quick look around after seeing the lighthouse.

Items used to maintain the lighthouse are on display. There is a souvenir shop near the exit. There is a huge Spanish lime tree in the parking lot. It's a good experience.
