This cozy retro bistro type restaurant has all the flare and Star Wars memorabilia to keep your full attention. The food is eclectic, fresh and delicious. I highly recommend ordering the Trios. They also carry Coca Cola products surprisingly because most of Key West is Pepsi. They do offer outside seating. I will definitely be visiting here again.

This restaurant had a vibrant candlelit ambience with a modern dark and funky interior decor. The manager and staff were fantastic, full of positive energy. The food was incredible. This was the best mea we had in Key West. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavour, especially the prawns which were very juicy and the lobster Mac and cheese. The staff recommended some other great restaurants which improved the dining experience for the rest of the trip. Please see my other reviews.

The cuisine is absolutely delicious. Not your average place. From appetizers to desert, I would dine here again and recommend to anyone that visits. You will not be disappointed. 5 Star Wars 😉.

I had such an excellent dining experience at this restaurant! The reservations were all booked so my boyfriend and I stopped in and there were 2 open bar seats! The service was absolutely eloquent and everyone was friendly and attentive. The food was refreshing compared to other restaurants in touristy areas. Fresh seafood and beautifully prepared. I highly recommend going here if you have a chance! Bonus: Fun vintage/collectible Star Wars and Star Trek items sprinkled about the restaurant. I loved it!

Great place, food, and staff! Brian our bartender was awesome and recommended the Lobster Mac and the Bacon Wrapped Scallops. Bother were excellent 👍.

We were in the mood for Grouper and came here for dinner one evening because their menu showed them having Grouper in a couple of styles. We actually walked past it, because the signage is basically just a sandwich board outfront, which we overlooked when walking by, but then we walked in… isn’t this place interesting?!?! A Star Wars theme with eclectic décor and an interesting version of Urban Gothic of the owner on the wall. We were quickly checked in and given a table in the window… nice view to see all the folks on Eaton near Duval enjoying the evening. The menu is extremely interesting, we later learned from our server (sorry for not remembering, but I think his name is Neil?) that the majority of the recipes are from family and friends. They had everything from Cincinnati-style chili on hot dogs (I saw them, they’re “Skyline” style too!!) to Italian to Thai… Normally I don’t do Pan-Asian joints, let alone joints that make and server everything, but this place seemed like the place to give in. We started with their trio appetizer (which seemed popular this evening, as other tables ordered it too) and I have to say that everything in it was excellent! The flavors of the lobster mac were the most robust of the three, but each were fresh and very nicely created. For my fav, it was a toss up between the lobster mac and the chimichurri shrimp… that chimichurri was excellent and the shrimp perfect flavored and grilled! Dinner for me consisted of their Thai red chili curried black grouper – Awesome! Such a huge portion too!! The Thai red chili curry was excellent and had one heck of a kick to it (then again, I asked for the kitchen to spike it up!) and the grouper was fresh and nicely brought to temp! The veggies, specifically the snow peas were so very good!! Wifey ordered the seafood marinara, as she loves a really good gremolata and this one not only didn’t disappoint, she fell in love with it, INSTANTLY!! She couldn’t stop enjoying it, even though there was so much food, half was all she needed… she kept on going! We both really enjoyed everything about Flaming Buoy – The service, the menu, the food, and most definitely the wine list! They have a very nice wine list, which isn’t too excessive with the mark up, but no cocktails… We do enjoy a nice cocktail before dinner, but we also enjoy wine to a greater extent, so we were disappointed. (I did hear the server at another table inform the patrons there they could bring cocktails from Tempt across the street over to enjoy with dinner – which is a great idea too, as Tempt is an AMAZING cocktail bar!) We definitely plan on visiting The Flaming Buoy Filet Co. when back in town next time… this place was so good, it’s worth visiting more than once to try so many more of their amazing menu!

One of a kind experience!! Food was excellent,the atmosphere was superb! The service was on point with recommendations and extremely friendly! My girlfriend and I went in last Friday as soon as they opened. My girlfriend asked for a wine recommendation and gave a general description of what she likes and the gentleman made a wonderful choice and she drank it the whole time! I ordered the special which was a sampler of their popular entries,was amazing. Flavors were ridiculously amazing! The delicate fresh white flaky fish on mashed potatoes with the lime butter sauce was my favorite. My girlfriend got pink shrimp (best we had in key west,wood fire char was unbelievable) and the scallops wrapped in bacon over sweet potatoes (amazing!) And lobster Mac and cheese which could rival any lobster mac. She said it was her favorite ever! We will be going back when we visit next without a doubt! The group in there makes you feel like you are at home. Can't wait to get back! Fully recommend if you are looking for an amazing meal in a relaxed vibe out atmosphere with amazing service!!

Quaint and cozy with a small outdoor seating to watch passers-by and the vibrant street excitement! The menu is both eclectic and comfort food choices! I had the special bacon wrapped filet and lobster Thermador 🦞 with spinach salad 🥗 to start. Grilled corn on the cob and lobster mac and cheese to die for!

Incredible. Please visit. Nice low key spot with attentive bartenders/servers who kinda run the whole joint. Some unique Star wars memorabilia adorn throughout. Super relaxed atmosphere with a unique take on some classics that are incredibly flavorful and delicious.

Great place with great food. We really liked all options there. Best grilled shrimp ever in particular. Owners are somewhat big fans of star wars, so the place has quite some themed locations including the restroom.

Can’t say enough great things. From our first call hoping to get a last minute reservation to the great decor (the Star Wars memorabilia is so cool and not overdone), to the friendly service and excellent food. I can not recommend The Flaming Buoy Filet Co. enough. A must.

My husband and I enjoyed the most romantic meal at the Flaming Buoy. Everything about our dining experience was sheer perfection. The lobster mac and cheese was a home run and the scallops with maple glaze and sweet potato mash was AMAZING! Aside from the high quality of the food, the service was just as impressive. We quickly began chatting it up with the owner Fred and our server Derick. This is a locally owned restaurant and the love and dedication the staff put into the food is what makes this place so special. There are a lot of options for great food in Key West, and this restaurant encompasses everything wonderfully unique about Key West! Thank you Fred and Derick for the wonderful experience ☺️

I hate not to get more and better pictures of my food at this fantastic find. Underneath the battle between Vader's tie fighter and a squad of Rebellion fighters is a creative and mouthwatering display of the chef's talent in arranging flavors to delight the senses. Both my wife and my meals at the Flaming Buoy were a highlight of our trip to Key West, and the service was remarkable.

Run, don't walk...but a reservation is a must. They did our own fresh catch yellowtail snapper for us in a delicate lime and butter pan sear that was crazy good. Sczechuan green beans are maybe the best we have had anywhere. Wedge salad with mild yet tasty Bleu cheese crumbles was fresh, cold and crispy. Hubby not a fan of balsamic vinaigrette but he was blown away by this one where they whip it to a thicker, creamy consistency. Get the entree portion of Mac and cheese with actual chunks of lobster. A hidden gem.

One of the BEST meals I've had in KW! A hidden gem! Arrived at 5:45pm on a Wednesday with the impression they were oddly dead for dinner time but then realized they happened to just open. Great for us as we got seated ASAP. Our server was friendly & had a very calm demeanor (wish we could remember his name). Started out with the shrimp app which was grilled perfectly, it came with a chutney but honestly it was incredible without it too! We then ended up splitting their special that day as weren't too hungry -- the special was lobster, filet with a blue cheese sauce & spinach....it was so rich & flavorful but not overpowering! Highly highly recommend coming here!

Art meets wine bar with a touch of Star Wars. Staff very friendly and professional, food was second to none! Next time we're in Key West we'll definitely stop in again!

Surf and turf (Bacon wrapped filet and lobster thermador) was fantastic. Snapper curry was great as well. 25% off wine on a Saturday! Brian was a great bartender/server. Star Wars and 50s ventriloquist dolls make for an interesting decor. You must visit the bathroom even if you don't have to go.

Excellent food and atmosphere! Trio for appetizer and main is a great way to try different things. Scallops and shrimps-my top 2. Very friendly funky service. We loved it. After Miami, where you pay so much $ for just “ok” good- it was a great meal. Would go back 100%.

The Flaming Buoy was an all round incredible experience! The atmosphere, food and staff were excellent. Brad went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and our party of 5 had a wonderful time. The decor was also a lot of fun with many Star Wars references throughout the restaurant.
