The happy hour menu is 4pm to 6pm. I ordered all the items which included Mac n' cheese croquettes, wings, mussels, oysters, and ceviche. All were so delicious and only $5 each. The wait staff was very quick to bring out drinks and food. They cleaned up the plates and the table and were very helpful. Only downfall was the happy hour mermaid lager hadn't had enough time to chill when I got there at 4pm so there wasn't any available during the entire happy hour. In total for two people we ordered 8 happy hour food items and one mermaid lager. I felt that it this was a sufficient amount for dinner. The bill came $50. Good value for the cost!

Fresh food, good taste. Favorite is the sautéed conch. Yellow tail is decent. Raw clams are fresh and sweet. The burger wasn’t good.

A local recommended the Thirsty Mermaid for happy hour from 4-6p and it didn't disappoint. Oysters were so smooth and delicious we ordered 2 dozen. :) Ceviche was fresh. If you drink beer, order a $3 Mermaid Lager or two. ;) Beautifully decorated inside, friendly staff, super clean. Will definitely return next time we're in Key West!

We have tried to visit Thirsty Mermaid a few times and either couldn't get reservations or it was closed. We finally got a chance to stop in for happy hour. The only reason we didn't stay for dinner was that we were looking for grouper and they didn't have it on the menu. We drank Cava because we don't drink beer but it was absolutely delicious. We ordered tuna poke, mac and cheese croquettes, and oysters. Everything was mind-blowingly amazing. We walked away saying we should have had dinner here, but we will next time for sure. What a fantastic spot!

Can’t recommend this spot enough. If you are looking for an upscale happy hour at a very affordable price look no further. The oysters were the best I had on the island over the week hands down. Super fresh super cold and delicious. The staff was more than welcoming and happy and helpful. Great little dining space with a small sit up bar. Fresh taps on hand. Check em out!

Found this Gem last year! FANTASTIC!!!and This year was no exception. If you are new to the keys this is a MUST. Happy hour 4 to 6 with $8 small plates! We’re not huge mussel fans but decided to try them. So glad we did they were fantastic and the butter garlic lemon broth was to die for. Service is also top notch.

If I could give it a higher score I would! The green Gazpacho is to die for!!! We both enjoyed our salad. The bacon on my wedge was big pieces that made it even better. The yellowfin tuna was very well seasoned! A must do in the Keys

We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant while visiting Key West. We had visited Little Pearl, their sister restaurant, and were very impressed. This one had a different vibe but still very cozy and intimate restaurant. Food was very good. I had a giant burger and my husband had the catch of day. Both were excellent. Our server Ava was very friendly and charming, talking to us about the local wildlife. Great job all around!

The food is worth every penny. The rating did not lie. The scallops, lobster bisque, and special: yellow edge grouper are a must! The service was nice. The people were kind. The food was amazing. I will most likely come back when I visit.

Cute restaurant. They have a great happy hour deal. Their customer service was on point. Will come back to try their entree next time in town.

We've eaten here several times over the years of our visits and are always so impressed with the food, the staff, and the wines. Everything here is wonderful! We love the ceviches and the oysters Rockefeller! All fish dishes and the scallops are amazing! Eat up!

For my first visit to Key West I was very excited about the dining scene as it seemed that nearly every restaurant was a 5-star reviewed restaurant. Well... The Thirsty Mermaid was the only restaurant we found that truly deserved those stars. It's a little bit off the beaten path but well worth it. Excellent food, excellent service, and if you look through the reviews...THAT HAPPY HOUR! Amazing oysters, nice drink specials...don't miss it!

This was a great find. Off the beaten path a little. Nice people and great food. I had the tuna dish and I really liked it. My wife had a salad and thought it was good.

WOW. The tile fish sandwich special was incredible. Quite possibly the BEST fish sandwich I’ve ever had. Flaky, fresh and seasoned perfectly. Great spot with excellent service. Might even return today!

We came in very early, like 4. I just wanted to try the oysters. My husband isn't into seafood and our innkeeper had said this place had the best. I really enjoyed them. Thought they were very good. The place is a little more fancy vibe. Would make a nice dinner place if you're looking for some quiet off the Duval street craziness.

If you've never been, you should go! This place is quaint but the food is AMAZING! Tuna poke, seared scallops, local beer. Come give it a try, you won't be disappointed

I was expecting this place to be more of a bar and grill. Rather it was an elegant and cozy upscale restaurant. Had the wedge salad and skirt steak. Wife had the tuna bowl. Both were excellent and cooked perfectly. Very pleasant experience.

I decided to treat myself and went on a gluttonous food journey that satiated both my body and soul ... Tilefish ceviche, PEI and Bi Jou oysters, octopus bruchetta, steamed Middleneck clams with smoked pork belly, yellowfin tuna crudo, and sautéed Bahamain conch with artichoke salad ... all paired, of course, with a Jai Alai. Everything exceeded my expectations, the staff was amazing, friendly, and made the dining experience wonderul. Thirsty Mermaid is one of my new favorite places ... I'm thinking about planning another trip to Key West just to eat here again :)

This spot came highly recommended by a friend, so good we tried it during our 2 days in Key West. We ordered: - Crackling Calamari Salad - Togarashi Spiced Yellowfin Tuna - Mermaid Platter The best thing was probably the oysters/clams on the mermaid platter. The calamari wasn't bad. The tuna was so overcooked, I almost didn't eat it. It also needed more sauce (though if it were cooked right I wouldn't have been trying to drown it in sauce). The ceviche was the worst I've had. For such a nice restaurant, I definitely expected a better meal.

While visiting the Key West, we decided to try this place Thirsty Mermaid for dinner and try some raw oysters. Is a corner quaint little restaurant with a delicate under the sea spa-like diner atmosphere. For appetizer, we ordered a half dozen Market raw oysters and Sauteed Bahamian Conch dish and lobster clam chowder soup. For the main course, I tried their Swordfish from their Fish Special of the day and we had ordered their Pan Sauteed Yellowtail Snapper Entree. Everything was made fresh and cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed our meal and everything tasted exceptionally devine. Come here for their seafood! They have a bar and my dad had the Mermaid Lager to drink. There's also a happy hour from 4pm-5pm The service was excellent and fast.
