Dog friendly & beach front!? Yes please! We loved the fresh catches for lunch while our dogs enjoyed cold water and a spacious corner to curl up in. The key lime pie was certainly worth the purchase, but not the best this island has to offer. Chickens do run past every table throughout the day so you’ll want to judge carefully if your pets can handle that sort of distraction. We quite enjoyed watching them roam about!

Great restaurant with a great view! Located directly on Higgs Beach, you can dine beachside in the open air seating area or inside the restaurant. Their seafood dishes are amazing and very delicious along with the Key Lime Pie for dessert! Can’t ask for a better atmosphere as you can choose between beachfront dining or traditional indoor dining. Our server was excellent! Very friendly and efficient! Prices are reasonable for Key West standards. Clean and well ran restaurant. I definitely recommend having lunch or dinner at Salute!

The good: great views and there is often live music on the beach about 200 ft away. This has the benefit of *usually* being quiet enough to still talk with others at your table. Service was above average. Good happy hour prices! Key lime pie was above average but not best. The meh: prices not really great. Happy hour prices only apply to tables outside for some reason? Food is above average but in my opinion it was better and cheaper elsewhere - hard to beat the views though. Happy hour drinks pretty watered down. The bad: despite mentioning allergies many times my food still came with dairy on it... Overall: I'd be back *early* to get a table outside on the beach to take advantage of happy hour prices on domestic beers and watch the views.

The host was amazing. He greated us like we were family and helped us find a good spot to sit. All the staff was very friendly and on top of taking care of us. Great service overall! The food was delicious, the view was perfect and probably most people would not appreciate a baby chicken on their table, but I'm here for that. I would come back 100%

Another amazing experience at Salute! The staff are so great, the vibe is fun and relaxed, but the food is five star. The Sea scallops last night were cooked to absolute perfection, my five year old loved his spaghetti, and the key lime pie and ice cream sandwich were on point. Definitely recommend, you won't regret it.

Amazing ambience! Next to pristine white beach! Calamari done on marinara style is so tender. Like it with a little spicy! Lobster scallop pasta is the bomb! Lenny is very friendly and helpful.. I was so delighted by the fluffy and soft bread. When I complimented on how soft the bread is, he immediately offered to take away. This is one of the most admirable quality for waiting! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Very convenient to Higgs Beach! Nice eatery on the beach! Full stocked bar with frozen drinks as well. Staff is very kind and helpful. Our bartender was experienced & accommodating with our choices. He recommended the daily features. We chose the Yellow Tail Snapper sandwich. Totally enough for us to split! Had the Blueberry Tea Cocktail & Tito’s Mint Mule. Both tasty and refreshing. Pet friendly. Great beach views. Very clean restrooms. Close to tennis courts-volleyball courts and the several historic landmarks -African American Memorial-HIV Memorial and a historic fort! Refurbishing a hotel nearby and two piers to enjoy!

Fun characters work here. Food was decent, view was great. My only complaint was that the bartender was deliberately ignoring some customers who wanted to pay and leave. She said she was too busy. Other than that, this was a good visit and fun atmosphere.

Recommended by a couple of people, I had high hopes for this sister restaurant to Blue Heaven, but it fell short. My pasta with mussels was watery and bland and my travel companion didn’t like his any better. We switched dishes hoping we’d each just ordered the wrong things for ourselves and that didn’t help. The ice cream cookie sandwich dessert was no better. Overall, I’d give it a pass.

Great moment at this restaurant. The waitress Mary is a lovely lady checking on each guest with a kind word for everyone. I absolutely love this restaurant, been there already couple times and I will definitely come back on my next trip to KW.

Loved the location here…nice parking available and right on higgs beach…the food was very good as well as the key lime pie…I can’t remember our servers name but he’s was very attentive and sweet…would definitely recommend for a bite to eat and walk on the beach.

Great, fresh food and location. Lots of shaded beach seating. Allows dogs. Service is a bit slow.

Unmatched views. This was a perfect lunch stop with excellent food, entertaining staff, and a beautiful view of the beach. The fresh seafood was amazing and the margaritas were ice cold and perfectly balanced.

Overall it's worth the stop. Great food, and service was pretty good. Our waiter was really funny and a great guy, but also very busy as I think he is stretched a bit thin. The beach is lovely, but there are some areas of the restaurant that could use a bit of fresh paint. But it's gotta be hard on a beach to keep things super clean.

I came here only for a key lime pie based on other people’s reviews. #1 the top was not meringue, and whoever said it was, was wrong. #2 very cool looking pie, but the top part was disgusting. #3 the key lime pie was not very good either, although it looked awesome. I did however like the restaurant and I would go back there to try food. I liked the idea of sitting on the beach. (The only reason for a 2 star)

We had the grouper and crab cake and snapper with lobster and they were very good. Staff was nice and did a great job. Located right next to public beach about 200 feet from ocean. Great sunset view with volleyball game and band playing on the park pavilion. Highly recommend trying the daily specials.

Fun beach front atmosphere with chickens running around. We had the spaghetti and meatballs and the Alfredo with grilled chicken! They were both delicious and the service was great and friendly.

Very positive and engaging host, bartender and waitress. The grouper and shrimp cakes were fabulous. The mixed green salad perfectly balanced with apple, pecan and Gorgonzola. They were keto and gluten free friendly. They have nothing fried! The calamari is in marinara with sourdough bread. The Golden margarita is their specialty and it is good, as were the Dark and Stormy and the Blueberry lemonade. An Oasis on the beach.

One of the few TRULY beach front restaurants where your feet can play in the sand during your meal! (Oh and did I mention its dog friendly too?!) 💗 How are the prices? You are in Key West... it's priced like it's in Key West. 😊🤷‍♂️ When factoring the view, the happy people, and the Sunday live music.... this place is worth the visit! Sunset pictures aren't too bad either. 🥰 Cheers!
