We came for the sunset view (having missed the window to join our friends at Latitudes), and set our expectations according to the uneven reviews here. We arrived early, but they accommodated us anyway, with arguably the best 2 top in the house for unadulterated views of the sunset. Our selections were incredibly tasty and satisfying. Service was the perfect balance of cordial and attentive without being stuffy. They lowered the patio shades post sunset to block the chilly breeze. It turned out to be one of my favorite dining experiences in Key West to date.

Arrived ahead of my friend in time for a solo dinner. Hot Tin Roof was recommended and now I can second that recommendation. It’s in a great spot, you can see the water from the patio, and the food and service were outstanding. Best key lime pie I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot!

My wife and I visited Hot Tin Roof for our 25th wedding anniversary dinner. This place was fantastic!!! Wendy was great from the moment we made the reservation. Oscar was our waiter, and he was equally great! We didn't get the best seat in the house per we made this reservation later than we should have. However, they were able to get us outside to see the sunset after our dinner. We got the fried bread as a starter, do get this, and try not to order 2... We did get cocktails, I had the Hemingway Daiquiri, my wife got the Sunset Cooler, yum! For dinner my wife had the filet, and I had the seared scallops and shrimp. Both meals were delicious! In honor of our anniversary we were graced with a slice of key lime pie and champagne. The entire experience from beginning to end was top notch. Do give this place a visit if you get the opportunity!

The place has a really good view especially of the sunset. We ordered an appraiser and the bread which was definitely the best part of the meal. With the main course I got the swordfish which was cooked well but definitely under seasoned. My Fiance got the Ribeye stake which came with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. I don't think the season the sides at all and the asparagus was so overcooked it was just moosh. For the stake being a 68$ dish it was honestly a very cheap cut I have seen better from an out back stake house. I know it's not a "stake restaurant" but if your going to charge that mush I would hope it would at least be a good cut. She also ordered it medium rare and it came out raw. The thing that was the most disappointing was the mix drink, it was some kind of daiquiri but it tasted like dish water. Are waitress was great though, she got us a new drink and apologized and all and all was a good server. Next time we go back to key west we may try it again, you are definitely paying more for the view then the food though.

What an incredible experience! I made reservations through their Resy app, and requested the balcony seating for the sunset view to celebrate my mother's birthday. They could not guarantee balcony seating due to high demand, but we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival when the lovely hostess guided us to the "perfect" spot overlooking the gorgeous sunset! Our table was decorated with a shining "Happy Birthday" sign, which was an unexpected detail that made us smile, and elevated the already pleasant experience. Our waitress welcomed us with a smile, acknowledged the special occasion, and gave us the (very cool) back-lit menus. Her beautiful energy added to the joyous occasion, and her kind attention was much appreciated. We ordered the Champagne (Nicolas Feuillatte Brut, France) to start, which was light and perfectly complimented the warm ocean breeze and soothing sunset hues. Everything on the menu looked enticing. I was immediately drawn to the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with bacon, corn sauce, and baked lemon. The Lobster Bisque with brandy, lobster salad, and lemon-chive creme fraiche was also a must, as was the Blackened Shrimp Mac & Cheese with andouille, cavatappi, and manchego gratin. Lastly, we added the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, sweet-and-sour with fresno peppers, per our waitresses' recommendation. Every bite was a celebration of rich flavors, and textures. We loved everything that we ordered, and the brussel sprouts were unexpectedly exceptional! Our waitress checked in on us throughout the evening, refreshing our glasses of bubbly as we delighted in the magic of the evening's colors, and gentle ocean breeze. She was attentive without being pushy or making us feel rushed, which we appreciated. We punctuated the meal with the grand marnier creme brulee with caramelized sugar and adorned with a vanilla bean macaron. We love creme brulee, but this one had a touch of Key West flair with a hint of key lime zest. So delish! Our experience at Hot Tin Roof was exceptional all around -- dreamy views, delectable dishes, and delightful service!

Had a lovely anniversary dinner here! We sat outside at night and it was very romantic. Our server Curtis was amazing ! He took our photo and was very helpful with the menu ! I will say it is by the pier and a Saturday night so the pier was bumpin, some other patrons were not happy with it but I enjoyed the music. Overall wonderful experience!

Really great food but, the experience and service was exceptional, totally top notch. We got engaged there and Jessica was such a great help making a special evening even better. Thank you Hot Tin Roof team!

I've been coming here every year for years and they always have the perfect service for me. The food is really good and the view is the best on the island for a restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating which we love sitting outdoors and we love to people watch. Boats also pass by going on their excursions and it's interesting to watch. The service at this restaurant is always fantastic and they always take really good care of us so thank you for that. The breakfast is fantastic as well.

I like the artistic presentation of the food. They did their best to fulfill special requests. I like the wild mushrooms the most. The crab cake is not up to par. Too much bread and not fresh meat. Scottish Salmon is good not great. It is not super fresh and well prepared. The sunset and ocean is beautiful to see here

Food was okay but the views and service more than made up for it. And the key lime pie was amazing. Get a table outside so you can enjoy the views or plan to go at sunset to enjoy food while watching the sun go behind our little blue planet.

Amazing sunset dinner! Reserve a table. Food was amazing. Besides the amazing seafood duck was amazing. One of the best key lime pies on the island. Adrian was an outstanding server. He was fun, and just an excellent server. The manager Audrae was very accommodating, and checked in on tables. All in all food and atmosphere were spot on while still being comfortable and fun.

We had a dinner party there Aug.12th 2022 for our company anniversary. 39 people and it was fantastic! The entire staff was amazing, Mila & Joanne were the lead staff & were a dream. So hospitable and everything flowed perfectly. My coordinator Kristin was the best also. The Food was AMAZING, they were all so attentive and just awesome. Not to mention the location is the best in Key West right at the end of Mallory Square and a 180 view of the ocean and Sunset!! You will go and say take my money :)!!

We had an amazing dinner for our 1st time in Key West! They accommodated the hot sun by putting down the blinds as the sun started to set. The food was phenomenal and our server was very intentional. Water was consistently refilled. We loved our experience and would highly recommend it.

What an unforgettable night. We visited this restaurant with the family and had an amazing time. We ordered the filet mignon and the salmon. It was amazing! We also had the key lime pie for dessert. Adrian was a great help! He even brought chocolate sauce for the key lime pie after our request. We were a special table, because there was a proposal that night and Adrian helped make the process smooth and beautiful!!!!!! There are special accommodations they can make for occasions like this with champagne, rose petals, etc.

Awesome spot on the water for a bite to eat. The food was super good, I just wish the waiter hadn’t taken my food after a couple bites. Spent my morning pretty hungry and confused why he did that. But the couple bites I had were really good, lol. The champagne to orange juice ratio was perfect for the mimosas, though so I guess that’s alright.

Great spot to enjoy a Key West sunset (if you can secure an outdoor table. Maitre d said we couldn’t, even though tables were empty our entire time there). Waitstaff was much friendlier and attentive throughout the meal. Food was good, not great. Key lime pie was one of the least memorable throughout the Keys. Probably would not dine here again.

We ate here for our 25th wedding anniversary. We sat on the balcony outside with a beautiful view of the water and live music playing below. The food was really delicious and especially the desserts. Service was top quality, friendly, professional. Our server, Oscar, also took the time to offer to take our picture when the sun was setting. The pics turned out great! Definitely a place to dine while in Key West. You will not be disappointed!

We were there for a wedding party and the group was hoping to have one table for 13 guests. The manager said no due to fire code, but wasn't very pleasant about it. Her attitude overall did kind of taint the experience for several guests. However, the food was very good; I had the sword fish and it was excellent and our server was also very good at handling said wedding party.

We dined here for the last night of our stay in Key West. Although they were very busy, we had outstanding food and service. The snapper is well worth it. Also I LOVED the watermelon salad. We will be back!

We missed our 10-year anniversary due to the big C but I tried to make it up in the keys at Hot Tin Roof with the Romance package. We couldn’t have picked a better place, not only was the view amazing the staff were phenomenal everyone from the person who helped me set up the Romance package “thank you” and to the host who kept it discreet because she did not know about it. The waitress who took her time with us and helped us pick the best food and popped the champagne bottle open for us and the cooks who prepared the food that tasted delicious. Thank you for making that evening a very memorable one. PS the key lime pie was great.

on the positive side, the food was quite tasty. we tried the blackened shrimp mac & I had the local swordfish as an entree. both dishes were quite good. on the non-positive side, the service was so-so. hard to get a beverage in this place. if you're sitting outside, you are right on top of another venue below you blasting live music. sometimes this would be ok, but trying to have conversation over a band very much emulating "Sexual Chocolate" from the movie Coming to America isn't great. and lastly the sunset...they really over-sell this on their site photos. very few seats get a view of what they picture. I show a picture of my view from my seat I got. plenty of trees in the way, umbrellas from the establishment below. way better, and less expensive dinner spots on the island IMO. I wouldn't go back again.

We had three family members who ate dinner here on a Tuesday night. Our table was on the outside deck right by the railing overlooking the ocean. We had some amazing sunset views. The menu was very nice, the food was expertly prepared and delicious, and our server Joanne was super attentive and efficient. We started with the grilled ciabatta bread and crab cake for appetizers followed by the sea scallops and shrimp for dinner (one person got only shrimp--the restaurant was very accommodating ). The key lime pie and cuban bread pudding with vanilla ice cream for dessert were wonderful. A nice touch were the complimentary chocolates after we finished the main desserts. Portion sizes of everything were very good. There is an extensive wine and cocktail list, and we enjoyed a bottle of Cotes de Rose. The restaurant is expensive, but we felt we got our money's worth with terrific ambience, wonderful food and excellent service. We definitely will return the next time we vacation in Key West.

First I want to start by saying the service was incredible. Oscar was so tentative to us even though he also had a huge party at another table. Also his recommendations were on point. My husbands steak was cooked perfectly and my scallops with shrimp and asparagus risotto, impeccable. I do not think I’ve had a desert as good as the Cuban bread pudding in a long time. Lastly, the view, amazing. Will definitely be back.
