Our waitress was very kind, attentive, and provided great service. The bar itself was very cute and in an excellent location. However the food was really disappointing. For a place with raw bar in the title, you would think the oysters would be good but they were all very poorly cleaned. The conch ceviche was lacking that “oomph” factor. The lobster egg rolls would be delicious if the lobster wasn’t in it. My Bloody Mary had a dead fly on the celery stalk.

I absolutely loved this place! Delicious food and great vibe. You have to try the oysters and stonecrabs and in case you're not into eating it raw, there are plenty of other mouthwatering options on the menu. Definitely one of the best culinary experiences during my trip to the Keys! Can't wait to EAT IT RAW again. :)

Amazing staff and great place to be at. The place was pretty packed, but the food came out tasting great. We brought our own fish that we caught in morning and had cooked. We tried all of the options to cook the fish there: blackened, grilled, and fried. I loved the blackened the best, but the fried was lightly bread so that a close second.

Food was good, drinks were typical. I have nothing terrible to share. It wasn't mind blowing but it didn't suck either. It's a good atmosphere and it can offer a solid variety for diff types of travelers.

The stone crab and raw oysters were so fresh and amazing! Lobster egg rolls were tasty too, but the raw seafood was the highlight. Loved it!

This place is really good, I highly recommend the conch fritters which I typically don’t like, but this place has some solid conch fritters. Also had the stone crab claws. Those are good and we had some wrong oysters which were pretty good quality as well. They had a selection between some gulf variety and some New England varieties so I was nice to try some semi locally sourced oysters.

We were giving a discount to come to this restaurant. Guess what we loved it! we were just here for beers or wines but end up eating food. Food was fresh and tasty and they are priced reasonably. Luckily we were there during the non-busy hour otherwise, we would not be able to get in I guess. We sat by the windows enjoying the people watch as well as the marina view. We wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. You bet we will be back!

We stopped in here and so glad we did! The raw bar is great, everything was super fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive. The best part of the whole experience was the awesome atmosphere. Super chill and fun.

Top to bottom very professional and attentive. Nice sized oysters a couple too large for my taste but my son had no problem w them. We had conch fritters which came w a nice key lime mustard sauce. Decent spice. Steamed shrimp was very good. Beer was cold. Food showed up quickly and staff was great. Checkers was cool too. Recommend.

Poor food quality and over priced. We had the oysters, conch fritters, crab fritters, key lime pie and conch cup. Oysters tasted nice and fresh Conch chowder was tasteless Crab fritters were bland and I think frozen, microwaved Conch fritters were black greasy and mainly onion Key lime pie did not taste of lime, was not tart in taste. And … a 3% credit card fee for Mastercard !!!

This is a staple stop of Key West! Server seated me at the best spot in the house, last booth on the water! Place was packed as usual, but the service didn’t suffer! The Key Lime cocktail is a must have! Great place to grab a taste of KW, hang with locals, people watch and enjoy the marina. So much fun!

Typical dive bar perfectly nestled on the boardwalk. Kids can feed fish while you enjoy it Rockefeller style! The conch ceviche is phenomenal. The staff is very friendly. If you sit at the bar talk to Bastardo and his oyster cracking master amigo.

The clam and beer steamed shrimp tasted great, I would also recommend chocolate dipped key lime cake. Specifically appreciate our server Cora, who were so friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the dinner

My friends and I had brunch when we spent the weekend in Key West. The seating on the patio was great because of the fishes that came close by. We enjoyded sharing our lunch with them 😆. The service and staff was excellent. The food was delicious and the prices was worth it. We all chose different items but we were all pleased. Blackened Tuna, Blackened Snapper, Lobster stuff with crab meat. The veggies were fresh and not frozen. Dessert was bread pudding. We will definitely be returning to this spot on our next visit.

The freshwater oysters were not fresh and tasted like decay (2.00 each) The Canadian oysters were tasty but had little quality control, as we had to fish fragments of broken shell pieces out of each mouthful ($48.00 a dozen, March 2023) The server barely understood English and had trouble answering questions. The fried calamari was tasteless and chewy. This place is primarily a bar themed place, so I imagine being half drunk one may not notice food quality.

Excellent service. The raw oysters, fried calamari, shrimp and fried fish were all delicious. We also enjoyed local beer. The restaurant decorations were so cool, with all the sea motifs and the license plates from tons of different states. The key lime pie was so good too. I highly recommend this place if you visit Key West!

This is my favorite place at Key West - they can cook fish for ya if you give them the fillet ($14.99 / lb as of 10/2023) - go for the grill, can never go wrong. I had the yellowtail, it was amazing! Tender, flaky, and the flavor, just right! Drinks are all good - nothing beats a icy cold beer next to the water, where there’re schools of mangrove snappers and other fish swimming around to grab whatever food dropped for them. The staff also so nice and friendly. The place is just perfect! Ps, didn’t get to try out their raw bar yet but definitely on our todo list for our next visit.

Kat was a SPECTACULAR waitress!!! The food was so delicious, but she made our day!! The view was spectacular! And, for the brave...the Barmuda Challenge was really fun, the shot here was probably the weirdest...but you get a free koozie and a memory you won't forget!!!

We dined at Half Shell following a pool session at neighbouring Dante's. Though we came about an hour too early to take advantage of it, they have great Happy Hour specials on both food and drink everyday from 4:30-6:30 PM. I enjoyed the casual and cozy atmosphere, and our server from Czech was friendly. There are tables next to the water, though there isn't much to see out there unless you come during sunset. Everything we ordered was good (but not spectacular).

We had the pleasure of dining at the Half Shell Raw Bar in Key West, Florida, and it was an experience worth sharing. The restaurant boasts a warm and laid-back atmosphere that immediately puts you in vacation mode. After a successful day of fishing, with Cora Beth Fishing, we were delighted to bring our catch to the Half Shell, where they expertly prepared it for us. We opted for the blackened and fried options, and the grunter and yellowtail snapper were cooked to perfection, showcasing the culinary skills of the kitchen. One of the highlights of the meal was the variety of sides, which were included with our order. We savored the Cuban garlic bread, French fries, potato salad, and creamy coleslaw, and not one of these disappointed. The flavours were top-notch, and they complemented our fresh catch beautifully. The interior of the restaurant is an eclectic mix of decor, where you can have fun searching for your home state or province license plate. It's like a treasure hunt, and after some time, I was proud to discover two Ontario plates, adding a personal touch to the experience. With ample seating and a great vantage point, Half Shell Raw Bar provides the ideal spot to watch a breathtaking Key West sunset. It's the perfect setting to unwind and soak in the beauty of this tropical paradise. The service at Half Shell was exceptional. The staff was not only friendly but also endearing, offering an opportunity to share stories and connections with the locals. The warm hospitality truly enhanced the overall experience. The Half Shell Raw Bar in Key West, Florida, offers a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere, delicious seafood prepared to perfection, a quirky interior that adds to the charm, and friendly service that makes you feel right at home. It's the perfect spot to unwind and savour the essence of Key West

Excellent seafood in Key West. Located right on the water, you know this seafood is fresh. I had the Louie Shrimp Salad. The salad was generous and fresh shrimp was delicious. Others in my party had conch ceviche and a grilled snapper sandwich. Dress is casual, prices are fair and staff is friendly.

Excellent service. Delicious and fresh. Laid back atmosphere. I recommend Edith’s Tower, which easily serves two, if you’re undecided between oysters, clams, shrimp or crab.

Food was amazing! Great seafood and tasty wines. You should definetly visit this place while being in Key West. There are also several Happy Hour Deals for seafood and drinks. Thanks to our waitress Jena, who did. also a great job. At sunset you can enjoy a nice view.

Loved our table and service. No sunset views but great colors in the sky over water here. Great for people watching and a great happy hour. Loved the food and everyone was accommodating to what we wanted. Laid back kind of place and we visit every year for the oysters. Good menu for everyone. Definitely recommend the bar as well. Fish in the water right by my table as well. Thanks for always taking good care of us.

Super good food, located on the boardwalk next to the marina. This is a low-key place to eat with picnic tables and a fun ambiance. The prices are reasonable. The oysters are fresh and delicious. We shared the fresh catch, which was grilled dolphin fish. It was cooked perfectly. The dill potato salad was tasty and so was the coleslaw.

Had the Oysters Raw & Rockefeller, 10/10 Beer Steamed Shrimp 7/10 , lacked flavor Hot Lips 8/10, ranch was the best part Our waitress was awesome! Beautiful, slender brunette (I can’t remember her name) was so patient and answered all our questions! She kept our drinks refilled before we even noticed and was very attentive with all her tables. Had a smile on her face the whole time! Young man working the gift shop counter was sweet as well and unfolded multiple shirts for me to look at so I ended up buying one!

We have ate here three times on different visits to Key West, today will be the last. Take a look at the $32 market rate fish. No flavor. Is it from a freezer bag? Kind of surprising for waterfront dining.
