We stubbled upon this bar for their Drunken Spelling Bee on a Monday. It was so much fun! Very engaging with the crowd, and the dirty tots were yummy!

I got the ramen noodle with coconut curry and chicken. It was delicious. I was quite surprised at the amount of chicken they give you. It was a lot! Great food.

Two bartenders suggested we try out this bar, the female bartender that worked on 11/22 told us to sit at the bar and then helped out every other customer and new guest multiple times before she even came to us. After 10 minutes without any acknowledgement, we left. If you are not a local or a regular, good luck.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our visit yesterday. We had a tremendously delicious lunch - so filling and tasty. I had grilled cheese and tomato soup (best tomato soup I've ever had!). Husband had short ribs sandwich which was seasoned/marinated to perfection. We shared a huge order of tots with cheese sauce which was delicious as well. I don't think you would expect this type of flavorful fare being found in an off-Duval Street location, but if you are seeking something to remember - WOW! You MUST dine here. The atmosphere is very comfortable, much like your favorite pub back home, you will be greeted right away, and served like you are the VIP in the room. We stopped in a few years ago just for drinks, we knew then that we would be back again. Mary Ellen's is now one of our regular stops every year. We highly recommend that you enjoy a cold beverage or deliciously filling meal when you are in town.

Thursday night at Mary Ellen’s is a MUST!! If you haven’t experienced vibrator racing then you haven’t experienced Key West! Not only are the races a lot of fun, it’s also for charity! Oh and the service, food, and drinks are also great too!

Mary Ellen’s Bar & Restaurant is just off Duval St. and worth checking out, not only for a drink, but the food is delicious! Burger was exactly what you’d expect, Buffalo chicken sandwich was one of the best! The ambience is quite eclectic too. A/C was ice cold, middle of the day was not very busy, but you need to schedule your visit for their “Vibrator Races” in advance (check their website for details). Beer can collection reminds me of growing up in the 70’s. Bartender was super friendly and service was great! Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Key West for a few days.

My Husband and I were in Key West for Thanksgiving 2022. We had the best time! Mary Ellen's has got to be on your to do list while in Key West. We had Thanksgiving dinner there. It was fantastic. The owners Chris and Liv made us feel like Family!! You will make it a lifetime stop when in Key West!! Karl and Kay from the First State...Delaware!

Go here. Slightly hidden on a side street, but worth the effort to find it. Yes, I tried the grilled cheese and while good, it needed a dill pickle or a couple of pickle chips) Atmosphere was great, friendly. Lot of TVs going so you could see the games.

We popped in for a quick lunch and we were not disappointed. We heard they have a fantastic grilled cheese, but we went for burgers and shared the large portion fries as suggested by the bar tender. My friend had the Irma burger and I had the patty melt in the picture. There were other patrons that told us they were making and 3rd stop in for the Frozen Irish Coffee. The service was great, the food came to us fast and we hope to get back there one more time before vacation is over. They host a bar bingo and other over 21 game nights.

A great place to hang out and have a drink. Try the grilled cheese!! It's a sports bar and a restaurant and a great place to get out of the sun and chill. The Frozen Irish Coffee is LIFE CHANGING!! A grown up's dream milk shake. Creamy and sweet with whisky and a generous handful of crushed Oreos on top. You wintvregret having one.

This bar was across the street from where we stayed. Roomy inside with some pretty good jams. There was live music at the time. It seemed to be somewhat popular but not overly crowded. The crowd seemed to be younger than many of the establishments on Duval Street. I thought the draft beers were too expensive. Staff was nice. Sorry for the photo. We were in Key West several hours by this time.

This was my absolute FAVORITE bar in Key West. This is the cleanest, coldest, and cool bar on Duval. Mary Ellen’s has a fun and laidback atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and this is a bar that locals frequent. If you go on the right day, you can even bet on the vibrator races for charity! Mary Ellens is a MUST visit! Just a few steps off Duval.

We adore Mary Ellen's, we've been living in Key West for a while and finally made it to our first Virvrator Race, and it was an event to remember!! It's easily our favorite Bar. And the foods great too!

As i've learned from local bar tenders, you rate these places initially by their air conditioning..lol. Mary Ellen's AC is on point! No that being said, the food and cocktails always seem to hit the spot exactly when you need it. We come here mostly for the frozen Irish coffee which is ::chefs kiss::

Probably my favorite bar in all of Key West! The cheesy truffle tots, draft cucumber jalapeño margarita, grilled cheese, and Jameson Irish coffee are not to be missed! Do yourself a favor and try the “kiss my Baja blast” and steak frites special on Wednesday!

Wildly varying menu! Love the drinks and the food. The atmosphere is great for one last stop before last call, or just a chill hang for an hour or two. You'll likely meet some local F&B folks here too.

Freaking amazing frozen Irish coffee. Get the large with cookie crumbles. Great friendly staff. Lots fun events through the week.

Tacky little bar off Duval Street known for their Vibrator races on Thursday nights. (Need reservations) we stopped in and had Chicken Ranch sandwich and a grilled cheese. Both were outstanding. Lunch service was very quick. Definitely worth a stop. Full service bar and live music Friday nights

Terrific sports bar with great food and drinks (Old Fashioned on tap!) and a bumping vibe. And vibrator races... Not really the place I would go for some quiet time but there are plenty of other options in Key West for that 😉. Go to Mary Ellen's to get your energy up!

Was so pleasantly surprised with this place. We stopped in for some drinks and decided to get some food. We weren’t expecting much from bar food but that Mojo Turkey sub floored me. I’ve never had a Turkey sandwich that good. My fiancée loved her corn dog so much she got a second. Staff is friendly and drinks are very fairly priced for the area. Highly recommend stopping by.

I came into Mary Ellen's looking for that simple yet delicious pub appetizer and I'm happy to report that I found not one but 2! I ordered the cauliflower bites and French fries which were so flavorful and abundant! I'm sure there are more but these were the only two I was able to get through. Mary Ellen's is a cool haven from the outside heat. The interior is ample with eclectic decor, tvs and dark lighting but fun! The service from my bartender, a young woman, was exceptional. She was attentive without being overbearing and made this solo diner feel completely comfortable during a midday lull. It seems they host plenty of events throughout the evenings that are worth attending such as their "vibrator races" which a patron elsewhere recommended, especially as it's for charity! All in all this is a YES in my book and I highly recommend.

Felt absolutely disrespected by one of the bar tenders name JJ, rude and tried to embarrass me. I would never ever recommend going to a place were people are two faced and disrespectful there are plenty of other places. People pretend to be cool but are not. Broke m heart ❤️❤️

Thurs 6pm we went to Vibrator Races. Fundraiser for local animal shelter. It was a HOOT! Told by local Mary Ellen's great spot for Grilled Cheese & soup. Yesterday Butternut Squash was soup of the Day. Only had $8 grilled cheese. It was delicious.

Stopped in for drinks and beers on NYE. Great Margarita! We also got an order of fries which were very good, and enough for 2 to share. Good place, good music!

Great food and drinks. We really enjoyed the totes with the truffle cheese and the burgers were great. The grilled cheese was great and we are looking forward to visiting again.

Awesome late night (and not late night food). Just off Duval the order window on the street is convenient. I recommend the corn dog, tater tots and chicken fingers - all made to order.

WOW. The gluten free fried pickles and mushrooms were out of this world amazing. An awesome off the beaten path find. Love to see an LGBTQ friendly space. Bartender made a fantastic drink recommendation as well. Definitely would return here.

The bartender made the absolute best Martini and we had fun playing trivia. The filet and fries special was to die for. YUMMY

Excellent bar, haven't tried the food, but the drinks are great! Other people's food smelled great. Get the frozen Irish coffee, add a Jamo floater.
