This place was awesome! We wanted to find the perfect spot with breakfast options all day. This place has the best croissant egg sandwich, breakfast burrito and omelets! They have Crazy Cuban Queen coffee and fresh baked pastries. Pedro was amazing and we appreciated his service and attention to detail. He made our lunch even better!! We highly recommend and the lunch items looked amazing also. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful little cafe directly beside the Hemingway house! My daughter and I ate lunch here two days in a row after touring the house and both times were great. Really neat atmosphere with colorful murals of local attractions. Our first visit was the best because we got the cozy little corner window seat. We had the barbecue chicken pizza and it was delicious and great service by the wait staff both days. Highly recommend for a great local place for lunch!

We were a group of 15 visiting Key West, and were able to be seated at 5:30 easily on a Tuesday. Everything was wonderful, from the kindness and wonderful service of Guada, who helped us throughout, to all the staff as we bought their super cool shirts and ordered desserts from the unbelievable selection of sweets. Everyone of us got food that was so delicious and exceeded our expectations. The portions are beyond generous, and the selection on the menu was so dynamic. I also loved their alt music, murals, and whole aesthetic. Even the clean bathrooms were awesome! A wonderful and memorable dining experience for all of us!

What an amazing experience! The restaurant seated our large group (15) within minutes of our arrival. The menu is varied and the food presentation is off the charts. HUGE portions. Family friendly. Vegan and veg options. I recommend you get dessert too. Moderately priced. Unique and welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress, Guada, was so patient and kind. She got all our orders correct and gifted the kids stickers at the end of the meal! Definitely will visit again anytime I’m in Key West.

This was hands-down, our best fond in Key West Florida! It was such an eclectic little place with a the pretty vast menu! So many fresh vegetarian options to choose from. The desserts were also very impressive. I would 100% go back to Key West and go to this beautiful local restaurant. The mural inside the restaurant was so stunning.

When we entered the front door, my eye immediately went to a glass display case filled with colorful and unique desserts; making the choice of dessert a tough one 😅. After having key lime pie at another location that claimed to have the best in Key West, I had to have a slice to compare and it did not disappoint. I knew at the first bite this was the best key lime pie I ever had in my life. The service and ambiance were a five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ with creativity and color throughout the establishment. As an artist, these are all things I can appreciate. My girlfriend ordered the raspberry cheesecake and was in love with the presentation as well and enjoyed every bit. This is a hidden jewel 💎 and I’d highly recommend Moondog Cafe to anyone looking for a quality food experience. You’re welcome! 😇😉

There is nothing to not love about the Moondog Cafe, from attentive servers, to freshly made juices for your mimosas, an in-house bakery, and a delightful food menu. You can't go wrong. Not on Duval Street, but still when we were leaving, there was a line to get in. Recommend missing the brunch hours, but not skipping this restaurant. My favorite thing was the fact that it is all about the history of Key West. So besides a great meal, you learn a few things.

Oh my. This place has the BEST food. we went everyday while in key west. The breakfast is the best I have ever had. The dinner is astounding. Tip: they have shared responsibility service, so you don’t really have a waiter. We waited on our server the first time for a while which was kinda frustrating, but you just have to ask anyone for help. The service is awesome but untraditional. After you eat and if you want your check or more drinks just use your voice and ask anyone.

This quickly has become our go to spot for brunch. Pitchers of mimosas available, the half pitcher was enough for two of us. Lots of seating both indoor and outdoor and it does fill up quickly. Beautiful murals all over the walls, nice decor. Our server was nice and food came out in an average time. Frenchman burger was delicious. Definitely recommend getting something from the bakery to bring home. We will see you again soon.

High quality, delicious food! We found this gem by accident and it ended up being our favorite place in Key West! Great service, laidback atmosphere, good music, tasty drinks, flavorful food, friendly staff. We could (and did) hang out here all day!

Loved this little place during our stay in Key West! The fruit tart is one of the best I’ve had and the salted chocolate caramel nut tart was great as well. Margarita pizza was so good and crisp and was perfect for lunch and the iced coffee was as good as well…wonderful service and atmosphere…would definitely recommend and will be back!

Holy moly, the pizza was amazing and took me back to Italy. I can actually say it was good if not better than the pizza I’ve had in Italy. Very fresh and delicious. Big enough to share. The chocolate croissant was delicious too. They offered inside and outside seating outside seating was very nice right on DeVol Street. All in all great place.

In the Keys for our anniversary. Came here for brunch. Seated outside, shaded, and waited on immediately. Got the Moondog Mary to start with. One of the best Bloody Mary’s I’ve had. Had a little kick but not overpowering. We had the Mahi sandwich which was very tasty. Carrot cake for dessert was a huge slice. I’m so/so on the cake. It had a good taste and was very moist, but had a different taste from what I was expecting. Overall, a great place for lunch. Would come back here in the future. Nice clean restrooms.

wow! this is the perfect café! 1st class bakery, bar, great espresso, outdoor tree shaded sidewalk patio , and indoor dining in really an adorable space. Kudos to the owners and operators here. very close to Hemingway house, one block or so away, and far more peaceful than the main drag of bars and restaurants

Wife and I went for breakfast. She had Quiche which she said was the best she ever had anywhere! I had eggs, sausage, home fries and a bagel. Food was good but sausage bagel and home fries were not hot! Actually luck warm! Service was great! I like that anyone can help and you don’t have to find your waiter for assistance. I would definitely return but would ask that my breakfast food be hot!

Lovely spot for brunch! Our table on the porch was so cute. The eggs Benedict was delicious and the fresh pastries and cakes in the front were all gorgeous. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend!

So good we went back for more! This spot came highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. We first tried lunch there, enjoying the poke appetizer, two meals, and the bread pudding cheesecake (pictured). YUM! We loved it so much we went for breakfast the next day and savored the pesto mozzarella eggs Benedict and the stuffed Elvis French toast. I'll be dreaming of this place!

Our first night in Key West we ordered pizzas to go from the cafe. They were delicious. They were ready quickly and fairly priced. We also went in for a quick bit for breakfast the other day and got breakfast drinks and pastries. They were good. The staff was attentive. I would like to go back one more time for lunch or dinner. Definitely recommend.

We walked by here one day and saw a couple of people on the patio eating pancakes and they looked amazing, so we came back the next day for breakfast. The décor is nice and the seating inside and outside is much larger than it appears. The place was freezing cold and they sat us under an AC vent. Service was just OK, nothing special. The menu is interesting with some items that are creative and interesting. I tried the breakfast sandwich and a side of a single lemon blueberry quinoa pancake. The sandwich was tasty, the potatoes that came with it were cold and horrible. The pancake wasn’t very good, the texture was tough to deal with and the flavor was not good. Neither of us liked the potatoes tho, which was very disappointing. Overall, there are many places to enjoy breakfast in Key West, so we’ll choose another joint next time.

One of my favorite spots in Key West! I've ate here multiple times and both the food & service are amazing. The steak & eggs and steak salad are probably two of my top favorites. Their cocktails are super refreshing & mixed perfectly. The baked bacon & gruyere dip is wonderful but make sure to request more bread when ordering!

This place is Great! We went 3 times . The Key Lime Pie is the best ! Shrimp tacos where awesome. My wife had the Frenchman burger she loved it . My son loved the pork tacos he had the both times .For the 2 times we dined in we had Sean as our waiter and he was great . I would put more stars if I could .

We went here for breakfast. Ellie was our waitress and was very attentive. I had the blackberry bacon bourbon french toast, my wife had the quiche lorraine. Service was quick and the food was AMAZING! For desert we split a bronut. They have a great menu and nice little bakery to take something home. Definitely don't miss this place, you won't be disappointed.

They told us it would be a five minute wait for a table but we only waited for probably 2-3 minutes. They were quite busy and were getting people seated and served at an impressive rate. The food was great! We had the avocado and veggie salad, which I highly recommend! Only reason I gave four stars is because the table we were sat at had some food stuck to it from the last party, as did one of our sets of silverware. The server kindly wiped the table for us and brought a new set of utensils when asked.

Moondog was so good we went back every day we were in Key West. The food was fresh, flavorful and they were able to accommodate our food allergies. They have a large selection of gluten-free and dairy free options. The menu includes vegan and vegetarian items. And all their deserts were gluten-free. The restaurant looks small from the outside, but don't let that fool you. They have two outside dining areas and two indoor air-conditioned dining spaces as well as bar seating.

Great little gem off the beaten path in Key West! Menu was creative, without being overwhelming…food was well-seasoned, though the scrambled egg dish wasn’t as hot as the Shakshuka…no worries though. Pedro, our server during both visits to Moondog, was consistently awesome! The bakery was something you’ll need to save room for…trust me! Would definitely recommend this spot!

Really great food! We were lucky emu to get seaters right away and were not rushed. I had the avocado caprice salad and the seafood omelet and my husband had the pot stickers and fish sandwich. All were very good but I think mine was better than his. Great coffee also.Service was as expected, very good. Will definitely back.

My family and I stopped here and LOVED the food! We got a variety of items and appetizers and loved all of it! We were seated immediately and service was great. We sat on the deck and were so comfortable. DEFINITELY recommend stopping by the bakery counter on the way out to get some of their treats. All were delicious!
