Don't expect much out of this place, it's a basic bar on the wharf. Think bringing lunch out to the dock and eating the same place the old guys are fishing. Would probably be better service if they had staff( sadly no one wants to work) breakfast ended early, got there at 10:50 menu says till 11am. Not the end of the world, but waited 8 minutes for one of the two servers to ask if someone had helped us yet. Even though they had both walked by several times. They don't do any kind of substitutions, don't ask for a sandwich that comes on a bun to be made in wrap🤦🏻‍♂️. Bacon on the BLT was super good. (does not come with any condiments or picked, was very dry) had to ask for everything from utensils, ketchup for the fries, mayo for the BLT. Never was offered refills in coffee, pop, water. Honestly by the time we were leaving I felt really bad for the server. Servers work for tips, and tips are based of the service they give. If they can barley take care of a table because the manager/owner is going to let the place be open at 100% seating capacity with two servers, they are going to end up only being able to give the poorest most basic service they can. Hopefully when future customers read this, they look at the entire picture. Bad service does not always mean a bad server, it's they are not supported properly to give good service.

I enjoyed the fish taco, my friend said his fish was good, not great. The service was good, the restaurant was full at lunch on a Wednesday in January. $20 for a taco wrap, slaw and a diet soda. The live music was outstanding.

A must-stop location in Key West! It's right by a marina with views of the ocean/marina, and within easy walking distance of most of the Key West downtown attractions. The vibe here is laid back and awesome! There was an awesome entertainer over lunch while we were there. The drinks were strong, and food was good. We'll definitely be back. If you're in Key West, you owe it to yourself to stop by here!

We were sent here by a local for the You hook 'em, we cook 'em deal. The staff were so friendly, and it was nice to hang with a lot of the locals! Great vibe. Wonderful live music. Did I say the food was amazing?!!! We had them blacken our fresh Tuna and Mahi, and it was so so good! And the cocktails were delicious as well. My favorite piňa colada on the island:)

Literally. The. Best. No words needed. Best seafood I’ve ever had in my life and honestly the best service from Mark our man! If you’re wondering where to head when you’re at Key West, come on over and start to finish, you’ll not be disappointed. Great live music to liven your experience as well! Fav!

Very unfortunate visit to Schooner Wharf Bar !!! :( To begin we arrived the place and is sefl seating as usual so we set right in front of the stage, We drove for this trip abou 8 hours to Key West the day after Jimmy Buffett passed because this was the place he started and I thought this will be the best place to pay my respects and celebrate his life and music. This is my second chance I gave this place before my this review. My first visit about a year ago, they took soooooo long to fulfill my order that I had to finish my food in 10 minutes before I caught my transportation back to the continent. I thought that they were probably getting ready before covid, and I understood. UNFORTUNATE we came back today again because we liked the Wharf atmosphere, but it was a disaster from the beginning. As soon as we sat, Jaimie arrived very graciously and took our order. She was the only good part of this experience, and that is why I give 2 stars. After we order I asked the singers in stage if you could sing a song on Jimmy Buffett as respect and to commemorate his death and he answered " WE ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT DOSEN'T PLAY" Jimmy Buffett in the island. I thought that was really out of place and sad, taking into consideration that we just passed a day ago and he brought to Key West a lot of great memories, recognition, and revenue. After that, things just got sawer. I waited 30 minutes for an order of oyster that never arrived, even though Jaimie spoke to the food manager, but probably he just doesn't care about customer service. ( second time this happens) After that we just paid our bill. But I will probably never come back here. Ps. Every place in Key West was honoring and respecting his dead.

This is what Key West is all about. Great Food, Drinks and Live Entertainment! This location is sandwiched between William St. and the Historic Harbor Walk, along Key West Bight Marina. The open atmosphere of the historic area, along with the coming and going of boats from the Marina, coupled with the live entertainment and constant flow of people from both the street and the harbor walk, make this place a perfect people watching experience. The food is fresh and delicious. Lots of Fresh Seafood options, as well as non-seafood options. Service is decent, even when busy, seating is first come first serve, so if it’s open, you better grab it before it’s too late! Bar area as well as a second floor deck. Beverages are cold, food is delicious, entertainment no matter what direction you look, again what else could you possibly ask for?

The conch fritters were tasty. Fish taco was spicy but still had flavor. The server we had was subpar. Not to say the rest of the staff was not friendly. However the server we had gotten seemed very disinterested in her job. The atmosphere was very laid back and comfortable. Live music was being played and was a nice time. Overall i would come back again.

What you would expect for a Local open air bar. The atmosphere is good. Has live band during weekday. We did not eat there today but have before, years ago. My daughter was even a server here probably twelve years ago. Food was good then. My daughter is moving out of Key West and was wanting to use some of the free drink cards/tokens she has collected before she leaves so this was one stop we made for drinks

Very good, shrimp BLT was BUSSIN. Best tuna tataki I have ever had, even came on a paper plate!!!. The tuna nachos were a must have. Bloody Mary was good but I have had better in the island. Key lime colada was so freaking good you have to try it!!!! Super nice vibe with live music and perfect outside seating with nice views and FANS TO KEEP YOU COOL WHILE YOU EAT!

A perfect place for a quick meal and some beers! We’re been here before years ago, place still got it’s charm like we remembered. Price here is very affordable. We had a quick Philly Cheesesteak and a couple of beers which came out $22. Would absolutely recommend to take a beer here and enjoy the live music!

This is a great place in Key West. My wife and I went for dinner and were able to find seating immediately. They had live music the night we went and it made the perfect atmosphere while being on vacation in the Keys. We got the conch fritters to start, which were amazing. My wife had the wings for her entree and they were juicy and flavorful. I had the shrimp BLT with fries. Everything was great and I'd recommend this as a place to stop by when in Key West.

Always a place I stop at while in Key West. Tuna nachos are delish along with much everything else. Friendly service; Emily is great. Love the live music, fans blowing in open air space & love the scrub sample in the bathroom wash basins!

Definitely a dive bar, but lots of fun. Music is good and the perch upstairs has a great view. Dingy around the bar but worth checking out

So we stopped in for some drinks but ended up eating there, we are not seafood eaters at all! But had to try the cronch fritters! They were pretty good but I'll stick to the schooners burger! Lol service was good! Atmosphere was awesome!!

We had 25 people with us and walked in unannounced the night of 10/6/23 and we were immediately greeted warmly and made to feel so welcome! RANGO was our server and she took care of all of us like no other! She and the rest of the staff did such a great job making sure we were all having such a great time! Drinks were always full and we were constantly being taken care of. Thank you RANGO and the rest of the staff for an amazing experience!

SMOKE HOUSE ! In spite of being mostly open space, this place felt like a closed room of World Cheap Cigarette Conferance! I had real high hopes following the reviews but nothing was even close to those reviews. Starting from the entrance to this place, it passed through their side door where they were taking out trash to welcome their customers. We ordered jerk chicken sandwich which was supposed to be marinated in ‘island spices’ . It tasted like nothing. Nope, not even salt ..sorry it tasted like raw onion. Yes, we were gifted with a 1 inch thick slick of onion in the sandwich .The fries with it were ok. But how can a restaurant give bad soda !?! The server gave us our soda good 20 min before the stale food arrived .. by the time I wanted a sip, I had to play guessing game to distinguish my water glass from my soda. Please have mercy on yourself and don’t go here. 🙏🏻

Loved it ..gravel floor and all. Took a group of 20 and they had no problem taking care of us. Server was excellent, no stress, no mess, just great service...a d did I mention separate checks? No problem. Food was great, wide selection.

I like the outdoor environment, good atmosphere. Drinks were decent. Cocktail shrimp were delicious. Unfortunately the oysters were not very fresh today, and had a foul taste, I would not order oysters there again

After reading about this we decided we would try it out for some appetizers and drinks for a friend's birthday. We were seated next to the pier with a nice view. Our waiter came over after a few minutes and was in a hurry to get our order. We ordered some drinks, the Schooner Rita, Pain killer and rum runner. Appetizers, Coconut Shrimp, Tuna Tataki. Shrimp was excellent and the Tuna was not what we expected it to be, was tough and needed the sesame ginger dressing to dip it in. Waiter never came over to ask for drink refills or ask how the food was. We finally were able to get another waiter to grab our bill and pay our bill.

If you come to Key West. You MOST def gotta check out this bar. It’s cool, local bar right on the water. Really cool spot if you wanna get away from all the Duvall Street madness and get some fresh local seafood. Did I mention happy hour every day 8am to Noon and again starting at five. My favorite place to hang out in Key West!

Jerk chicken was not spicy at all but the fish sandwich according to my companion was delicious. Coleslaw was a little dry as well, but the atmosphere was great and live music was fun.

The shrimp BLT was awesome, the oysters on a half shell tasty. The pina colada had lots of flavor. Also Ashley was a great server!

Chill environment and great views of the marina. Plenty of seating and fast services. If you’re getting dropped off by hotel shuttle, make this one of your first stops!

A bit wait, but come on, when you are on holiday relax, have a chat with people. Blaze served us, nice and helpful when asked questions. Loved the oysters and the tuna. Also music by Michael McCloud is so good.

A fixture of the local and tourist alike...Schooners is a place for good food, good drink and great entertainment. If your in Key West a definite must do.

Walked past and it looked like a fun bar with good food. A musician was playing and we had a drink and then dinner. The food was good, the atmosphere was great and the service was alright. Our server was really nice and seemed to care, but everything was slow. Even things like getting us water took asking twice. It wasn’t bad as we had music to listen to and a Ranch Water to drink. Maybe it’s just that we drove five hours that day and needed to get into a Key West Chill. I enjoyed the experience, would go back again and even recommend going. A four Star because of the slow service but next time it could be a solid 5 star.

When you are walking around Key West, looking for a place for a bite to eat, wander over to the Schooner Ward Bar. Plenty of cold drinks and beer. What’s not to like about this outdoor space, live music and great food. 1/2# of peel and eat shrimp were tasty. I highly recommend ordering the Red Snapper Melt (not the Red Snapper sandwich), have it blacked, it was quite possibly one of the most flavorful Fish sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. The picture doesn’t do justice to the size of the fillet, it had to be over 10” long and seasoned to perfection! I will be back for another one! 😁

So good we came here twice during our honeymoon. Great views and drinks, service is phenomenal. I can’t remember our server’s name but she is an absolute treasure. Highly recommending doing a fishing charter and bringing your catch here for them to cook!
