We were looking for surf and turf late on a Thursday night. This place was excellent and the price was right! The steaks were perfectly cooked medium rare and were delicious. The shrimp was well seasoned. The fries were crispy. The salads were fresh with spring mix greens and onions and tomato. The server was attentive and took time to answer all of our questions about the menu. The food came out quickly and was generously portioned. For dessert, we got their homemade flan to go. The caramel was a delicious deep amber, and there was a perfect sauce to custard ratio. A very satisfying meal!

It was like eating from abuelas kitchen. Really flavorful pork in a low key atmosphere. The staff were really friendly.

Great flavors and friendly staff. Very homey environment. You will leave feeling like they welcomed you into the family and served you some pretty tasty food. Don’t forget the appetizers and sangria. Both very delicious. Portion size is almost too much! We loved the flavors so much we just kept eating even after we were full. Really nice it was close enough to walk to and home from. Very local neighborhood vibe. Certainly worth a try if you are close by. Full menu with tons of options!

In key west area and would rather eat here than any seafood place. The employees are great and the food is so good. I’m out of town working and my crew and I have gone here every day either for lunch or dinner.

This is the best, authentic Cuban food around. OMG! I love this place soooo much, I want to kid-nap the cook and have him cook for me 24/7 ! All kidding aside, if you want great Cuban, go here yesterday.

Visited on a Sunday evening and was surprised by the busy crowd. Looked like there was a least one large party. I was immediately welcomed by a warm smile and seated. Despite the crowd, my drink order was taken in a minute or two and was brought some fantastic warm buttery bread. I'm so glad I was dining alone so I didn't have to share the bread. The Sangria was crisp and fruity. I ordered the Siboney steak medium well. This is the only place I order my steak medium well. I typically order medium rare but I like the char on skirt steak. It's served with yellow rice and beans and plantains. As I waited for my meal I noticed how spotless the entire restaurant appears. In a few minutes my dish was served piping hot. The plantains were fork tender and tasty. The rice was fluffy and perfect after a shot of the house pepper sauce and married with the black beans. The signature steak was fabulous. Just the right char to provide extra flavor without over cooking and making the steak tough. All in all a wonderful dining experience at a very fair price. Don't hesitate to visit this location in Stock Island over the original restaurant in Key West. The food and service is as good as the original with a much more local feel and larger venue, so less wait when busy. Isamar was the most charming and professional waitress. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. When you see 3 state trooper cars parked in the parking lot and saw their variety of meals ordered and all looked happy; gotta stop!

I grew up in the FL Keys. This is the best Cuban food anywhere near Key West. Garlic roasted chicken and roasted pork were both AMAZING! We visited for a late lunch and the service was excellent. We prefer the Stock Island location for both quality and service…however the Key West location is good too.

No photos to share because we were hungry and when the food arrived we dived right in. Jahaira was an excellent server. Pork, snapper and shrimp entrees, disappointed they were out of oxtail soup. Not to be missed for exceptional dining in Key West.

Was looking for authentic Cuban food and we nailed it coming to this location on Stock Island in the Keys!!! Everyday they have great specials and pricing. Food was delicious. Service was above average and the restaurant was clean and had a cool atmosphere for dining in. Would definitely return and recommend this place to anyone looking for Cuban foods!

Decent food. Not the absolute most amazing I've had in Key West, but that's a pretty high bar. This is what my wife calls working man's food! There are two locations down here in the keys. The one on stock Island is much less busy, but local reviews say the food is not quite as good as the other location. Overall I was happy with it.

This place was recommended to us, so we went for dinner. The food was good, not exceptional, but good. The squished panini bread with melted butter that came first was my favorite part of our dinner! I was excited to try the food based on that bread. My husband had the Cuban sandwich, something he loves, and he wasn’t impressed. It was the same bread, only larger, and it came loaded with veggies (lettuce, tomato, etc) he said isn’t how it’s usually made. I think he felt like it had too many competing flavors and textures that detracted from the overall yumminess of the sandwich. I ordered coconut shrimp and plantanos. The coconut shrimp was delicious. The plantains were too sweet and I’m not a fan of food that looks burnet even when that’s kind of the only way plantains look when cooked. The insides were good, but it’s something I ate for a variety of flavors and textures not something I could eat a whole lot of. We had a waitress but kept commenting on how AWESOME the male waiter was who was truly the best waiter I’ve ever seen. He was extremely outgoing, engaged with each table as if they were all his best friends, even the strangers, and he was talking about the food like a table to table salesman! We discussed that, if we owned a restaurant, we’d make sure all the staff tried samples of the food to sell it to customers like this guy was doing so well. He had beer and I had sangria in a wine glass. They accommodated my allergies very well and I had no reactions after we left. Our only negative comment was that our waitress seemed attentive at first while we were first ordering stuff, then after our food was delivered, she disappeared and it was hard to get her back to the table. She didn’t even take the plates so we sat at the table for I’d say at least 10 extra minutes with fjnished dinner plates, then they were still on the table during dessert, and then my husband went up to where she was socializing at the wait staff station to ask her for the check which she still didn’t promptly deliver to our table, and when we left, all the dishes were still on the table. I always tip over 20% but this time it was a struggle for me to tip 15% because that was really not ok. I wouldn’t tell people not to go there, but when you walk in and see the super awesome waiter, request to be seated in his area. He services 3x as many tables exceptionally well versus the waitress we had that couldn’t even handle 3 tables out of about 20 tables with seated customers. We can’t say yaye or naye about any other waitresses, but ours wasn’t good at her job. Some regulars at a table next to ours were dining with someone who hadn’t been there before and they were advising him on what not to order, but I didn’t quite catch it all. Maybe ask the outgoing waiter because he definitely knew what to recommend and did a great job explaining the food to tables nearby. P.S. When we left the restaurant, we saw this (see photos and video). I thought it was 1 animal and watched for a while until it revealed itself as 3 cats with 1 cat eating something protecting his food from the others. This photo looks like it’s 1 animal, to me! My husband has far better vision and he also thought it was one animal until they started moving around separately. I think it’s interesting…

Great food and service. Ambiance is great, too. Love this local gem. Sangria was delish. Beef empanadas were flavorful (without olives, which I prefer). I love how they bring buttered cuban bread to the table, too. We went early and by the time we left (around 5:30pm) the small parking lot was full.

I am trying Cuban for the first time so I was excited when reading the menu card as most of the names were new to my eyes! We ordered a Cuban style Steak Liver and Roasted pork with few Cuban specific sides like plaintanos, tamale, etc. Both the orders comes with sides like rice and black beans(you can pick your own sides from a list of 5-6 sides available on the list). Food was good but the quantity was way too much for us (who goes out to try new dishes but not a big eater or at least we don't have the big stomach to eat all the Cuban food 😀). I would suggest anyone coming to key West to try this restaurant.

The parking lot is very small. The churrasco was well cooked, though I’m not a fan of so much raw onion. The Moro was delicious as was the rice pudding. My son enjoyed the teriyaki chicken.
