My
wife
and
I
went
to
VFW
Post
3911
today
April
18
for
lunch.
The
place
was
not
very
crowded.
The
bar
had
maybe
five
or
six
patrons
and
there
was
one
table
being
occupied
by
a
small
group
of
four
in
an
otherwise
spacious
dining
area.
The
place
seemed
pleasant.
We
took
our
seats
and
waited
to
be
served.
After
waiting
for
about
ten
to
fifteen
minutes,
I
went
to
the
bar
to
ask
for
a
menu.
The
server
(Casey)
at
the
bar
told
me
she
would
bring
it
over
to
our
table.
I
said
sure.
About
ten
minutes
later
she
brings
it
over
to
the
table.
We
placed
our
order
for
fish
tacos
and
a
fish
sandwich
with
a
side
of
onion
rings
and
two
ice
teas.
She
brought
the
fountain
drinks
a
few
minutes
later.
After
45
minutes
of
waiting
and
watching
others
who
came
in
after
us,
get
their
orders
at
the
bar
eat
and
leave,
we
started
to
wonder
what
was
happening
with
our
order.
Normally,
we
would
not
wait
that
long
but
we
were
on
vacation,
so
we
had
time.
The
problem
was
the
service.
While
still
waiting,
one
of
the
patrons
at
the
bar
asked
asked
us
if
we
ordered
a
fish
sandwich
and
fish
tacos,
we
said
yes.
We
saw
Casey
deliver
that
order
to
the
couple
but
thought
nothing
of
it
until
they
asked
the
question
about
our
order.
A
while
later,
Casey
came
in
with
what
we
thought
was
our
order,
finally.
It
was
not.
It
was
for
the
couple
who
asked
about
our
order.
What
happens
next
seems
to
be
like
a
clip
from
the
60s,
Casey
picks
up
the
order
that
had
been
sitting
in
front
of
the
couple
for
sometime
now
and
brings
it
over
to
us.
No
explanation
or
apologies,
she
just
set
it
in
front
of
us
and
says
here’s
your
order.
My
wife
immediately
said
no
thank
you,
we
don’t
want
it.
What
happened
next
was
even
more
insane,
Casey
said
to
us
“You
ordered
it
you
have
to
pay
for
it”.
We
said
no
mam,
we
will
not
eat
or
pay
for
something
you
took
from
someone
else’s
lunch
table
but,
we
would
pay
for
the
fountain
drinks
which
were
in
our
possession.
That
was
not
the
worst
of
it.
Casey
threatened
to
call
the
police
if
we
didn’t
pay.
I
replied,
“you
may
call
whomever
you
like”,
she
proceeded
to
call
the
police
and
told
them
this
black
man
and
woman
had
taken
food
and
refused
to
pay.
Yes
you
read
correctly,
she
called
the
police.
We
waited
for
the
police
to
arrive.
30
minutes
later
they
came
in,
beckoned
for
Casey
to
come
away
from
the
bar
to
get
a
good
understanding
of
her
complaint.
Once
they
heard
her
complaint,
they
came
over
to
talk
with
my
wife
and
I.
We
explained
what
happened.
I
also
asked
the
officer
If
she
would
pay
for
the
meal
given
those
set
of
circumstances.
She
smiled,
but
didn’t
answer
that
question,
which
is
understandably
professional.
After
talking
with
Casey
again
for
a
few
moments,
the
officers
came
back
to
our
table
and
said
you’re
free
to
go.
We
told
the
officer
we
didn’t
mind
paying
for
the
fountain
drinks
we
had
partially
consumed.
They
said
it’s
up
to
you.
We
left
money
for
the
drinks
as
we
originally
offered
and
left.
As
we
drove
off
we
waved
to
the
officers
as
we
left.
How
said
they
had
to
be
pulled
away
from
important
work
to
address
this
unnecessary
issue.
Clearly
this
is
not
a
good
line
of
work
for
Casey.
We
emailed
the
Commander
in
charge
of
post
3911
to
report
the
incident
and
to
express
our
total
dissatisfaction
with
the
treatment
we
received
there.
He
apologized
and
sad
they
will
be
meeting
to
discuss
a
remedy……..
