How do you start a review for the best bar in the US. Fair prices and a great mix of tourist and locals. Make it a point to go to the 5:30PM sound check to see the band playing that night. By the way, turn around and look out towards the street at sound check, you never know what you’ll see.

This is a really down to earth place with great people! Try the root beer shot! It's interesting :) The decor is fun to look at and there is a lot of history - the people here always have good stories to tell. A great place to listen to some music and have a beer!

Awesome dive! We caught a show here the day after Coast is Clear festival and had a blast. They have live music most nights and good selection of drinks and beers. And a popcorn machine!

Great Bar....Great service...This place has been around in some form since 1890. It's a lively place that just feels comfortable. Bonus..Ernest Hemmingway probably had a beer there a few times...when it was a beer barn back in the day. This is my guess. Not a fact but the thought is cool. Drop by the Green Parrot and have a drink....relax....its worth it.

Great bar and great service with ice cold beer. Stopped in after a visit to the Hemming way house. Bar staff was excellent.

FUN local spot with great atmosphere and energy. Live music, free popcorn and reasonable drink prices with beers around $5. Bat area can get busy at times but IMHO the bartenders still do a pretty good job. Located off Duval Street this is definitely a good spot for a local flavor of Key West.

We stopped in on Sunday. Live jazz music, every football game on a TV (without looking like a sports bar), very chilled atmosphere and an excellent rum runner. I could’ve stayed there all day, but my sweetheart needed to eat. Great bar.

Favorite bar on Key West, great service, people and atmosphere. Away from the Duval craziness, GREAT Bloody Mary. Also, the “squirrels” are a great addition to the vibe!

Not just my favorite bar in Key West, but one of my top 10 nationally! Green Parrot is a reprieve from the crazies on Duval and a sanctuary for the weird and wonderful. Great juke box, but the live music is really what you want to check out. Saw a solid jazz band which was welcome change up from the cover bands that proliferate Key West bars. Easy going staff and regulars to strike conversation with.

Great local bar, nothing fancy here, this is a great stop during the day or night. If you are looking to have a cold beer or drink and you want to talk or watch the game. This is your place. At night there are some great bands, very lively and you can have a good time.

A great bar with loads of character! I had a Rum Runner, with us pretty good and my wife had the John Daly which didnt have much taste. I would have liked to spend more time here but we needed to get moving.

Awesome music scene! The live bands brought in every weekend and are top notch and the local performers are always great. The staff is super happy to be there and that clearly translates to the service which is excellent!

Sure wish I would have been able to get a drink. Sat at the bar with cash on the table and 3 others walked up & left with drinks. Bartender never acknowledged our presence. Got free band entertainment then went to Willie T's where they were happy to take our drink money.

Pop corn is pretty good. That's the only good served here. It has great music and a local vibe, if that's your cup of tea! My friends love going here, and we take all of our out of town guests. Never disappoints them!

Best locals place key west with best prices, great bartenders and free popcorn 🍿 The Green Parrot took away happy hour the 2nd day we were there in June forever. What a shame! Thank heaven we found Turtle Kraals.

Really good. The staff where friendly and the popcorn machine provided all of the snacks whilst I was made to feel like a small child on the pool table. I'll definitely go again. The staff were amazing!?!?

Drinks are always good. Food is surprisingly awesome here. Get the tuna nachos. You will not be disappointed. Live music all the time, but I will say turn the volume down. It's hard to talk to people or hear the servers with it so loud. Whoever owns this place is deaf.

Great local bar with plenty of local beers available. The musical talent can oftentimes be great! An Allman Brothers Revue band played there over the weekend.

Always a super fun stop. Since we're Monday thru Thursday types the Green Parrot is always our Monday evening stop - BINGO for charity. What could be at having a great time while supporting a good cause in the Keys? The staff has always been really hard working and can fill all the orders at the bar even when the place is full.

Make sure one your way to Hemingway's House or the southern most point of the US to stop at the Green Parrot. It's awesome!!! And for goodness sakes, try a Root Beer Barrel. Worth everything that is Key West. You won't be disappointed.
