Went by on two different days on my way to the Zachery Taylor Park, which is further down the same road, both days closed (Tues & Wed)... Google Maps says open, then checked website and it is closed to the Public... Folks, check websites for opening, locations are not updating their Google Maps!

Nice, informative spot for people interested in marine life and ecosystems around the keys. Staff are very knowledgeable and provide a lot of information beyond the exhibits if you ask. It’s free and worth a visit, there’s a few interactive exhibits for kids to try out as well.

Stopped by here on the way out of Fort Zackary and I'm glad I did. The museum had very interesting exhibits about the marine life on the Keys. All the displays were well kept, and some were even intractable. If looking for time to kill or just want to learn something new. This is a good place to stop!

This place is really cool for what you pay (nothing). However there is a donation box up front. There are many exhibits and fish to see, and you can really learn about the ecosystems of the keys, and the creatures that inhabit them. There is a 20 minute movie, and a 3D experience. Both of which are just okay. There are nice restrooms and water fountains inside as well. The staff are helpful and friendly. It will take you about 45 mins to do it all.

I stumbled on this place trying to find a few things to do in the area. I'm a nerd when it comes to fishes and came here on the trolley. Upon arriving, I was met by two volunteers. They both greeted me and gave lots of information on the Florida eco-system and the center itself. It's a small place you could spend less than an hour in, but has tons of information. The place does not charge admissions, but donations are welcome.

Hidden gem. Found the center to be full of great info about the ocean and surrounding waters of Key West. There is no cost to admit. But do leave a donation. Loved the aquariums and watch the movie they show every 30 minutes.

This is definitely a fantastic place to stop in FOR FREE and learn all about how the ecosystem of the Florida keys works! Learn about all the fish life, mangroves, and everything else works together and how we can help! The hands on exhibits will entertain the kids and make sure to watch the video! Feel free to follow us @crazykleinadventure

Very informative. Good interactive exhibits and movies. Wish the movies were newer and had longer business hours.

This Eco-Discovery Center is informative, interactive, and fun....just don't expect kids to be too entertained. The information is as fun and playful as it can be, but it wasn't entertaining enough for my kids to last more than 15 minutes before they asked us to leave. There plenty of parking, it's free on Fridays, and I had fun. I would come again by myself next time.

Free. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Displays are informative and all seem to be functioning. Very often in places like this, half the stuff is broken, but this spot was in great shape. Easy one hour stop to get out of the sun walking to or from Ft. Zachary Taylor SP too.

Free! Super cool place! Great customer service! Very close to the beach and kids water park. They have a 20 minute movie in a mini theater and an aquarium.

So glad they opened up again!! This is such a magnificent spot for all ages to be amazed about the natural wonders of the keys. All for free! Only open Friday and Saturday. The movie was very neat as well.

Just as we were getting into our visit there, they had a power outage so we had to leave the center early. But that just gives me an excuse to come back to the Keys.

We are very fond of this place and it should be on everyone's list as a means to learn more about the Keys. I understand that they could use more volunteers but they do well with what they have.

What a great experience I had at the Eco-discovery Center. It incapsulates what makes the Florida keys so magical. They're only open on Fridays and Saturdays now, but I'm going back again.

Wonderful experience. The marine biologist on staff answered all of our questions and was extremely knowledgeable, passionate and courteous. Plus no admission makes this the perfect place to take the kids. Donations suggested.

Extremely knowledgeable marine biologist on staff to answer all of your question. Plenty to keep both old and young alike busy for several hours. We came out learning so much about our precious Florida reef system.

Great spot to learn more about local ecosystem. My kids really enjoyed the interactive exhibits. Tons of great info presented in a cool way. Mrs. Emily hosted a field trip for our homeschool group, and it was awesome! Definitely recommend a visit, even for locals.

It was amazing. So many well done exhibits explaining the incredible ecology of the FL Keys and even some history with shipwrecks. Absolutely loved it. I hope they get more volunteers and more funding they are truly educating the tourists and this place needs to be cherished!

Fun and educational. There is parking on site. Including the 20 minute video presentation, you can complete the center in about an hour. Entrance is free but there is a donation box.

This wasn't a planned stop but I'm glad we did. My husband and I were exploring the area and stopped in. We were lucky enough to have the pleasure of speaking with the most knowledgeable and welcoming person at the center and we walked away knowing way more about the coral reefs especially (amongst many other interesting facts about the island). The center was remodeled during quarantine and it is honestly great. This is probably an awesome place for kids even though we didn't bring ours. The leader of the center would have been super interactive and exciting for any kid as well as adults. This was a great stop for us and it was really close to the splash pad and fort Zachary beach and the coast guard ship. This was free and parking was also free which was awesome since most things are not!
