The museum has many interesting facts and items on display. We bundled the price with the aquarium that is next door. The museum has starts at the bottom floor and the display leads you from floor to floor. Then there is a tower that you can climb. The view is worth the price and the time. Great birds eye view of the island. If you like museums then you will enjoy the Key West information that is provided by this museum.

I cannot say enough great things about this museum. If you’re checking reviews to see if it’s worth it — I’ll cut to the chase: IT IS. The 14 minute long video at the very beginning is really worth your time. It sets the whole mood for the self-guided experience through the museum. When you walk up the stairs to the second floor, the doors to the tower are to your right, and then on the left hand side. Tons of amazing artifacts with great explanations. Definitely a stop you don’t want to miss when you’re in Key West.

Wow! This place ROCKS!! The Key West Shipwreck Treasure Museum is an absolute must-see for anyone and everyone visiting Key West! Learn the amazing history of the area, including stories of pirates and "wreckers." We were pleasantly surprised to find that this place had a real wrecker's wife staffing the museum, acting the part and making the exhibits truly interactive. Her name was Charlotte, and she was AMAZING! She did a wonderful job describing the stories in the first person, as if she had just stepped out of a time machine. She really made our day! Insider tip: On the way out, stop to watch the four minute video about the kid who salvaged the candy bar wreck. You'll love it!

The shipwreck museum is a cool little piece of history on the different journeys and ventures to the Florida Keys from sail ships over in England. It has many artifacts that have been recovered from divers over the years. You feel like you're in an old ship but beware it does have a musky underground odor at times in the beginning of the trip especially. There are a few videos to watch along the way. The history is neat. You can touch a few things inside. The best part for sure was climbing to the top of the tower at the end. Gives you a great view probably the best on the island next to the lighthouse because you're closer to the water here. I'd go for that alone again.

Interesting history of the Key West people who made a living from collecting goods from the wreckage of the many shipwrecks that occurred off of Key West. There is also a really cool tower to view the harbor area of town. The pics are only from one flight up but you can go about another 4.

A small, but cool museum. The staff were all super well informed and helpful. The woman on the second floor had a lot of interesting information and was able to answer our questions in a well informed and detailed manner. There are a lot of cool artifacts to see. We enjoyed the climb up the tower. The views were spectacular.

Pretty cool place to go see and get out of the heat for a few minutes. Small museum but the best part was the upper desk with 360 views. Went on a Friday before closing, had it all to ourselves.

This is a fun and educational museum, great for kids and adults alike. Learning that key west was thriving on ship wrecks and seeing and hearing the videos and artifacts on display make this a fun experience, plus of course the view from the tower. We spent about an hour here.

It’s a lot of climbing. But it’s not hard and extremely well run impressive informative museum. It will not take you long to go through it. Lots of interesting exhibit inside definitely for all ages I loved it.

Cool experience on the ghost tour, and a bit erry hahaha. Supposedly it's haunted. Heard some awesome stories from our tour guide. We didn't have to pay to get in the museum because we were on the Ghost tour.

Fun place to lean about old pirates and memorable moments back in time. The first place you go is lower than the water level, and it smells so you won't want to stay in that room too long. The next two levels are fine. Lots of stuff to look at and learn.

My girlfriend and I visited this museum and thoroughly enjoyed our visit due to the amazing staff and interesting material spread throughout the museum. The beginning is a must watch! It sets the tone for the whole museum and enlightened me to things I never would have known. The cast member told us everything we could possibly want to know about the museum and the wreckers all while being friendly and conversational. Additionally, the tower had a spectacular view and provided for some amazing photo opportunities.

Loved this place! You can't tell from the outside, but the inside has a lot of Key West shipwreck history! All the artifacts and stories were fantastic. Also, there was a reenactment while we there as well. Loved it all. A must see!

I was pleasantly surprised with this museum. My wife really wanted to walk through it and I was kinda ho hum about it but I'm really glad I walked through it. You really learn a lot about Key West and it's history. It's a must do for the history buff in your family. The observation tower is worth the price of admission all in itself. Definitely a must see here in Key West.

The shipwreck museum , I thought was definitely worth it. The do give you a slight discount if you buy a ticket for shipwreck museum and the aquarium also slightly better deal if you buy online. The amount of items that are in that museum are incredible. I was in there for 2 hours looking at everything. The short movie in the beginning was very informative . The aquarium was decent I was expecting a little more being that it is in key west but it was cool. Even had a shark feeding.
