We had a wonderful stay at this hotel for 5 nights. We were checked in by Victor who was most helpful. At the time of booking itself, we requested an ocean view room on the first floor so that we have walking access to the ocean. Hotel staff respected our request and we stayed in a wonderful room with mesmerizing view of the ocean and walking access to the beach as well as the "tanning" pier. Watching sunrise from the tanning pier is just phenomenal. We enjoyed the "shores" and the "tranquility" pools, where again all the staff that we interacted with, were very nice and friendly. Another very positive experience was their concierge Bryan Valentine. Bryan gave us solid recommendations, helped us sort through our options, and got us good discounts on bookings and tickets.

This was my first time in Key West and I’m so glad we stayed at the Southernmost. We had a partial ocean view room but it was a much better view than expected. Our room was modern, nicely decorated, clean, and spacious with a large balcony. There are 3 pools and we frequented the Shores pool and pool bar near our room. It had live music every afternoon which was so fun! The food at the Beach Cafe was delicious although I do wish there were more non-seafood options. The resort has a private beach with a dock to swim off of, which was nice for avoiding the seaweed that seems to be plaguing beaches these days. Hotel location was right around the corner from Duval, walking distance to the Southernmost monument, a convenience store, and many shops and amazing restaurants. Everyone was friendly and welcoming!

This was a fantastic place to stay at. Very excited we picked this place compared to other places we looked at. The room was spacious, nice comfortable beds, clean modern bathroom. The service was really excellent. The very friendly concierge, Jules was a fantastic source of information regarding activities and places to go and booked us the perfect excursions for our party. The location couldn't have been better, right off Duval and a block from the beach. The room was super quiet on the second floor. The pools were also very pleasant. I also enjoyed all the palm trees around the property. A place to definitely visit again!!

Southernmost Resort was absolutely amazing. Incredible views, 3 pools, spa, on-site restaurant and beach area. Clean, beautiful rooms. Attentive staff. Our shower was running a bit cold one day and maintenance was out to fix it so quickly. We were impressed! Location for us was also a huge plus, being able to get to everything easily but also being outside the really busy area. Highly recommend!

Our hotel experience was incredibly disappointing, especially considering we were part of a sizable group that had booked numerous rooms and spent a significant amount of money. Unfortunately, our stay coincided with ongoing construction that we were not told about prior to booking, and to make matters worse, they assigned three of us to rooms located right next to the construction site. The construction work started early in the morning, before 7 AM, and continued well into the evening, extending past 6 PM. This relentless noise disrupted any chance of sleeping in or taking a peaceful nap during the day. It turned out to be the worst hotel experience we've ever had, which was not the way we had hoped to spend our first visit to Key West. While the pool staff did an excellent job, the office staff left much to be desired. They were confrontational and seemed indifferent to our complaints about the lack of sleep and overall negative experience. Their attitude was highly annoying, and it's clear that some retraining is desperately needed. To add to the frustration, the manager was aware of the terrible conditions but still decided to place us in those specific rooms, despite the availability of other rooms elsewhere in the expansive complex. This decision left us feeling disregarded and disappointed with the overall management of the hotel. Picture is the construction right outside our door. They started before the sun came up and there was no sleep to be had. Especially if you had a late night hanging with friends. Update - 11/11/23 No attempt to provide a corrective solution has been provided other than the response you see. Will update if they actually make an effort but I have high doubts.

My husband and I decided to make a little getaway off of Thanksgiving and relax, only to land in the Southernmost Beach Resort construction zone. Forget the word relaxing. We had zero warning that the hotel would be under construction. Should we have known, I’d be sure to book our stay somewhere else. Workers were banging and screaming outside of our hotel room all day. Very unpleasant experience. I have migraines and what was supposed to be a serene weekend turned out to be a nightmare. Management should really give us a huge discount for putting up with this awful situation. As if this wasn’t enough, water in our bathroom shower had no pressure neither would heat up. Maintenance did stop by, and we are thankful for Victor and his crew, working tirelessly during thanksgiving. Water did get to warm up after they stopped by, but water pressure was little to non-existent. For a “resort” I was expecting nothing short of a great shower, especially in an island of all places! Towels are rough and so are the toilet papers they provide. I have stayed at many better hotels in Key West previously and I am disappointed to have given this place a chance. Stay away! EDIT AS OF NOVEMBER/30/2023: Dear whoever responded to my review in Google. Did you really write “gosh”??? Like, are you surprised? Your hotel has been receiving one-star reviews consistently and you write gosh? That’s enlightening. If you really care, instead of bringing up my review to leadership when l we both know nothing will be done, you should instead invite me back to your hotel and make up for it! This is what can turn something back around. Your reply disgusts me, especially since you have posted the same reply to multiple 1-star reviews here and on TripAdvisor. I will do whatever I can to spread the word on social media of your poor service and how you could care less about your guests.

If we went back to Key West, we would stay here again. Our room was oceanfront 7415. The dinner at their beach side cafe was the best dinner of 3 - the others were hot tin roof and prime steakhouse. The staff at the resort is very helpful and friendly. The drinks at the beach front cafe were also excellent 👌. We also ate breakfast at the resort everyday. Walkable is butterfly museum and Hemingway home. Take an Uber to Mallory Square. We also recommend the trolley ride and Mel Fisher Shipwreck museum.

I loved staying in this hotel! It was absolutely amazing, especially being right on the Main Street in key west. It was so pleasant to walk down to the private beach in the morning. The pool they had was stunning and well-made. The rooms were spacious and nice, and the I couldn’t even hear the elevator during the day, even though my room was directly next to it! The Sandbar was also incredibly nice, I enjoyed playing Ping Pong with friends.

We took a 4 day get away and so glad we stayed here, everything was perfect! Your staff was amazing, especially Ana at the pool! I wish I remembered who checked us in, she was so nice too! Your grounds are beautiful, our room was spotless and comfortable. The location was perfect, a few steps to see the sunset and walking distance to all the fun spots on Duval St. The pools are great, very clean, with great drinks, and music! We will definitely be back!

Love the location. My room was much smaller than I expected and the giant television only had about 15 channels, most of which were news, no movies, pay per view, or ability to stream. I didn't spend much time besides sleeping so it was good for me, but could be a disappointment if you were expecting something else. I did not appreciate the additional surprise $50 a night amenity fee. I booked on-line through a 3rd party and had already paid a nightly service fee, so that was a solid punch in the gut. The beach was small and a disappointment. It was very cloudy and not good for snorkeling when I was there. The private beach had no water access. The pools were nice and quiet. I liked my own little balcony. I loved the location, I walked everywhere after I got to the hotel. The beach was great to watch the sunset, and the beach bar at the mansion across the street was delicious! Overall, I had a nice time!

We were a little nervous going in because of the mixed reviews and several comments about the smell from the breach; however we had a great stay and the staff were excellent. The room was wonderful and the resort was better than expected. The breakfast was amazing and were some of our best meals during the trip. Spending time at the tranquility pool was our favorite part of our trip. We loved our stay at your resort.

We chose this resort based off its reviews and location. It was the most amazing stay we’ve had in a vacation. From the very start they offered champagne at check in and also offered to upgrade our room which we elected to do. Our room was on the third floor ocean view and every morning we woke up to the beautiful ocean and sun. The entire resort is so clean and they put a lot of effort into keeping it that way. The staff was all absolutely amazing. Harmony, the sunset pool bartender offered amazing drinks and we never had to wait to get one. She also has a great expertise of the island and we tried all of the restaurants she mentioned and they did not disappoint. They also have a messaging service if you need anything and they are so responsive. A shirt of ours dropped to the balcony below and they had room service retrieve it within 4 minutes!! The location is absolutely amazing and getting to most of Duval St is a short walk. We will ALWAYS stay at this resort when we come to the keys and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, safe, and friendly stay.

Where to start? The room was so hot because there was no airflow unless we used the fan which we don’t like. The A/C unit was so loud we couldn’t sleep throughout the night. There was construction right outside our door the entire time and they were working from 8am to 5pm Thursday-Sunday. We got zero (0) rest and relaxation between the A/C and the construction. It was extremely unpleasant. We couldn’t wait to come home. Even though this says resort in the name it is not a resort. The restaurant was average at best and over priced, there was no central air in the room just a wall unit that would turn on and off frequently, barely any water pressure, and the water wouldn’t heat up. Plus we could hear the neighbors next door. We also found live bugs in the towels.

We had the best time ever! It was my daughter and I for my 60th birthday. Her and my son paid for our trip to Key West from fort Myers on the Key West Express. We stayed at this wonderful place for two nights and then took the Key West Express back. Everyone was so personable at this place and so nice and the food was great at the restaurant and we enjoyed the quiet pool. We rented a cart the whole three days we were there to get around to go everywhere. Such a wonderful time! I would definitely stay here again and do the whole trip all over again. The only one complaint I had was the rug in the second room we stayed in we stayed in two different rooms the second night the room we stayed in the rug was very dirty in the room they need to clean those rugs more often.

We stayed at Southernmost in November 2023 the week of Thanksgiving. This was an outstanding stay. First, the room was pristine when it comes to cleanliness. I read a recent review that the resort was "dated." This could not be farther from the truth. The rooms are updated, the amenities are updated. They keep with that Old Key West charm, but the resort is very clean and updated. There is so much to do at the resort. We spent most of our time at the Shores pool because you can turn your chair around and you are looking out at the ocean, but without all of the sand. There was music by the pool daily. The onsite food options were FANTASTIC! The service was also spot on. Anything we needed was taken care of and quickly. We got to know the staff and they were both professional but fun. My husband and I have traveled all over, this resort was one of the nicest and most fun that we have stayed with. 10/10 recommend.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed. First time in the Key West, this was a great place right on the beach and close to the shopping and main streets. Walking distance to everything, or you can get bikes and golf carts for purchase. Clean rooms, great beds. Nice new aesthetic. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic guest experience. The Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We were met with friendly smiles at every turn. Everyone from the front desk staff, courtesy drivers and our housekeeper. The Southernmost Beach Resort Team truly went above and beyond to make our stay... "A ONE OF A KIND EXPERIENCE!!! My better half truly enjoyed our stay in our roomy Deluxe King Balcony Oceanfront View Room. We stayed here to celebrate a birthday and our honeymoon, the location is great! We enjoyed being by the water and at the end of Duval. though the rooms were comfortable, they are not sound proof, we constantly were waking up due to people yelling and walking by all hours of the night. Management contacted us asking how they can make our stay better. We appreciated that and answered and they said they would send someone by at noon to fix our requests and send a bottle of champagne for our honeymoon. They never did. We were disappointed in the service not following through.

Two weeks ago, my two kids (late teens) and myself visited Key West for the first time and stayed at the Southernmost, it was fantastic! We loved everything about our stay (3 nights). The room was so clean and well done. We were on the first floor so it made easy to access to the property and we felt safe. Not knowing much about where to stay in Key West we all loved the beach and the pools, and the close proximity to the quiet end of Duval Street! The entire property is beautiful, and the staff that we interacted with were wonderful. If/when we return to KW, I don’t think I could ever stay anywhere else! Thank you for making all our vacation dreams come true in Key West!

Loved every minute of our stay. We came to Key West to celebrate our son's 21st birthday and we were not disappointed. From the cleanliness of the room to the great pool area and food, everything was as expected. We even rented a cabana for the day and was greeted with friendly staff and the young man who was tasked with making sure we were taken care of attended to everything we could have needed. Thank you for a great stay in the Keys! We will be back!

This is hands down, the only place to stay! What a phenomenal resort! I'll never ever stay anywhere else in Key West!! The front desk staff attended to any issues we had. It's hard to find shade around the pools if you're not an early riser and reserve a lounger. The food is excellent and the drinks are good at Shores. Love it here.

We had a great stay at Southernmost Resort. We arrived earlier than expected; the gentleman that checked us in could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Same with the concierge; he was very helpful and gave us good suggestions. We reserved a king oceanfront with balcony and were very pleased; it was very roomy and clean with a beautiful view. We enjoyed the pools and meeting and visiting with Sharla, the bartender at the pool bar.

The location is fantastic if you want to be close to the southern most point and the quiet end of Duval. If you want more party, this probably isn’t the place for you. The pools are nice and have bars right there, but there aren’t a ton of chairs so get there early. The staff is super responsive and kind. I wouldn’t say the quality of the rooms is up to a 4-star hotel, but they are clean and large (except the bathroom).

My goodness, this is the most BORING resort I have ever stayed at. My partner and I were celebrating our 3 year anniversary, and this was our least favorite part about our trip. Don't believe the photos. This place was far from vibrant and beautiful. I honestly would have preferred just being in a Marriott. The "private" beach was full of seaweed and was super small. The room smelled funny and it was nothing special what's so ever. The bed felt like I had booked at a Motel 6. I mean if I'm paying this much money, the beds could at least be nice. The pools were not as nice as the pictures and the area around the resort is very boring. Just a bunch of retired people walking around. I will take some credit for not doing my research on the area we would be in. Staff at check-in were okay. No real problems there. For the money, you could do a lot better. Thank God we only stayed one-night.

From the moment I entered Southernmost Beach Resort in Key West, Fl I realized I booked my vacation in magical place. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are elegant, and the staff is so friendly. At check in I was offered a glass of champagne and a golf cart ride to my room. This made me feel so special. My grandchildren loved the beautiful pools and there were many of them (3 I think) on the resort, so some were more adult and relaxing while the younger crowd migrated to a more active pool. It really was the best place to spend a relaxing vacation. The staff at Southernmost went out of their way to make you feel happy and cared for. Everyone was so happy and nice, and their fun spirit seemed to infect everyone staying at the resort. Every single person I came in contact with was happy. I will definitely be back!

Southern Most Beach Resort is a beautiful, well kept resort with an excellent staff and service. Jules the concierge set up all of our activities within moments and made everything so easy to do. The rooms are spacious and modern-our room even had an ocean view from the shower. You can hang by the pool with some music and a bar or chill with quiet at the hammocks. The restaurant was wonderful for breakfast. fresh food and fast service. The gym had great equipment and super clean. There is everything at your fingertips at this resort. You can walk to Duval street.

I purposely opted to stay at a resort during my trip to Key West because I wanted access to a pool. This resort has three, two larger size and one small. They also have a private beach for guests only. The issue is, they don't have sufficient lounge area and chairs at the larger pools and they don't provide towels or a bar at the private beach - the bar at the private beach was closed during our stay, not sure if that is a temporary or permanent situation. There are bars at the two larger pools, but they don't have service staff and they also don't offer light fare or snacks. When I first stepped into our assigned room (ground floor) an intense musty smell hit me in the face. It was so strong that when we went to bed that night I put my face mask on in hopes it would shield me from the smell, not a preferable way to sleep. The following morning we requested a room change and were moved to the second floor. The good news was the room did not have the same intense musty odor, the bad news was the air in the room was still super moist, it was not properly climate controlled. As such, our belongings were damp our entire stay. Also, the rooms are not true to the photos online, they are instead rather dated and not terribly attractive. The staff were friendly but the experience was not worth the money. I would not stay here again and I do not recommend.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff. Located right on the beach not far from all the main attractions and night life but yet still quiet at night. Beautiful pools and very clean. Gil at the Pineapple pool and bar was wonderful. Lots of fun and laughs. They also had live singers during the day. I definitely recommend staying there it is a wonderful place.

We booked this resort prior to reading reviews so after reading a few negative ones I was a little worried about what our experience would be. I honestly don’t understand how anyone could write anything negative. We had an amazing experience start to finish! First, it’s in the BEST location just steps to Duval street and we appreciated that it’s on the quieter end of Duval. Secondly, the private beach was great! Clean with a ton of loungers so you don’t need to worry about rushing down early for a chair. Some reviews were complaining about seaweed on the beach but seriously Karen? It’s a beach-seaweed is inevitable. If you don’t like it then maybe visit a mountain resort instead of a beach resort. Lastly, the staff was all super friendly and whenever I called down to the front desk for something, it came promptly. I wish I could go back tomorrow. Loved this resort!!!!!
