We have stayed at the Hotel Marquesa 4 times. This time we even referred a friend to stay along with us. The last time we stayed , which was right before COVID, we felt misled by the room pictures on the website versus the room we were given. Nothing was done even though our room didn’t look like the pictures. We powered through and made the best of it. This time our party of 4 , two separate rooms, with 6 night reservations had to leave one night early due to extreme weather that was forecast at home. I get it that a smaller boutique hotel is impacted by such a change. However I also felt a returning loyal guest might be shown some consideration. We certainly didn’t want to leave early but weather precipitated it. Loyalty, including regularly dining in the Cafe Marquesa, meant nothing and we all lost 1 night of room costs. The indifference was most troubling. A one night refund or even one night credit seemed like a way to keep a loyal customer but it seems our regular trips to Key West will now find us staying elsewhere.

Great hospitality & the location was perfect! Tucked away and peaceful but close enough to walk to anything you want to see in Key West. Good amenities. Well maintained property. Fully stocked local grocery store very close by, and several really good food options. We will surely stay here again.

This is the best hotel we’ve stayed at in a while. The atmosphere is great and the free parking is a huge bonus! Our room was clean and we felt at home. 10/10 would definitely return!

I never write reviews but this hotel deserves a shoutout: My husband and I found this hidden gem a few years ago when we were here for a wedding & IMMEDIATELY fell in love with the stunning pool area. We keep coming back because the ambiance mimics that of an oasis, it so peaceful and private no matter what time of day it is. John is a member of the marquesa family who has been with the hotel for several years and told us about all the best places to go….for each time of day?! He is definitely an added gem to this hotel that has made our vacation even more fabulous. The service is exceptional, there is an amazing Marquesa cafe next door that went out of their way to deliver (in my opinion) the best expresso martini to our room one evening. If you’re planning a trip to Key West and don’t stay at the Marquesa I promise you will be missing out.

We had a great stay here during our trip to KW. The service is excellent and the property was very quiet during our stay. Relaxed atmosphere and easy walk to many of the things we wanted to see and do. Only downside was hearing traffic in the morning (our room backed up to a busy street) and heavy footed neighbors upstairs who were early risers. We loved the heated pool, having our own “front porch” and all of the tiny geckos running around! The staff here is fantastic - while they held our bags so we could go to lunch before our flight, I received a voicemail that I’d left something in the room. When we came back for our bags, my lost item was right there waiting for me next to my suitcase. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Great location, amazing courtyard, spacious rooms. Staying at Marquesa feels like you live in Key West. The staff went above and beyond to mail sunglasses that were left in our room. Quality service all around.

Excellent Boutique Hotel steps away from the main drag. Highly recommend. Check in was easy( the cat escaped on us) and timely. We stayed at the adjacent property, which is a 1 minute walk form the main Hotel and on the 2nd floor in a large room. My only issue is that they do not have a luggage cart.

Jon was amazing, and Bob the cat was also amazing! The room was clean, incredible, and perfect! The location was near the action, but without any of the noise! Highly recommend!

We have stayed here probably 8 times now, and continue to come back for many reasons. The grounds are immaculate always. Rooms are always clean when needed. The location is perfectly quiet yet close to everything. Hands down the best in Key West.

We had truly a wonderful experience at Marquesa Hotel. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Our room/suite was perfect for our needs, and the location was perfect....just enough off the main drag to reduce some of the noise but still convenient to everything. If and when we go back to Key West, we will make sure to stay here.

Love this hotel. Fabulous location (just off Duval St) but you would never know that. Its beautiful, quiet and tranquil. Rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Hotel grounds are fantastic and staff are very helpful and friendly. Can't rate it highly enough.

I can not speak highly enough of our stay at the Marquesa Hotel in Key West. We had a 2 bed room in July 2023. The beds were very comfortable, the decor very neat and welcoming and the bathroom very luxurious. The staff was very kind in helping us check in, carrying bags to our room and providing recommendations for local restaurants. The pools were clean and relaxing. Would definitely stay here again!

I spent 2 nights here this pastweek, and I highly recommend the Marquesa Hotel. Room was great. Location perfect. The overall property is attractive and well-maintained. I would stay again.

Very well maintained hotel, my room was immaculate and beautiful. The staff at the Hotel are very attentive and happy to help in any needs or questions you may have. If you book this hotel you will not be disappointed. I would always go back.

Great room, pool, ambience, courteous staff, location, etc. They let me check in early and check out late. Wouldn't consider anywhere else when I return. If they were a chain, I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

We ate dinner at the hotel's restaurant. We did not stay at the hotel. The way we ordered the dinner was heard incorrectly, and they brought us the wrong meal. They ABSOLUTELY corrected their mistake, and because we had our meals at separate times, they were generous enough to comp the meal. Super duper customer service in my opinion. We had the Tile fish, which was possibly one if the most delicious, flakey, mild tasting fish I've ever had. I live fish, and this was something exceptional. Especially since they put it in a dish it wasn't supposed to come in!!!! I was generally very impressed with the restaurant!!

Alex was absolutely the BEST. He helped us out when we came in and back with camping gear for our Dry Tortugas excursion and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. This was the best hotel service we have had anywhere period. Our room and the grounds were also completely lovely. We would absolutely stay here again.

We booked a last minute room here, our agent who booked us was knowledgeable in finding us a room that fit our needs. Rooms are very comfortable. We stayed in the junior suite. You walk out the front door onto a nice covered patio with comfortable seating. Our patio steps lead straight to their heated pool. Beautiful lush, tropical landscaping throughout the entire property. They had a simple pastry breakfast included with crossiants, cinnamon rolls, muffins and a few other pastries. Fresh OJ and coffee. I was disappointed they didn't offer any kind of protein in the breakfast. Pros: * Great location, within walking distance of all the shops and beach. * Comfortable beds * friendly staff * the main building itself is a historical house * super fat cuddle cat named 'Bob' Cons: * Parking was expensive and the spaces are tiny. If you drive a SUV or Truck it will be a challenge to squeeze in * wouldn't allow late checkout * no protein in the breakfast

Marquesa was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. Beautiful, well maintained, charming hotel with multiple small pools in lushly landscaped courtyards. Staff was attentive to our needs. Fausto’s grocery one block away had good selection of wine and beer. Thirsty Mermaid, also 1 block away had a great happy hour with oysters and ceviche and superior seafood entrees.

This is a beautiful hotel. It is small but perfect for what we wanted. The staff is very attentive and genuinely cares. Our room was great, the AC was cold and everything worked as it should. The interior was modern, the cost was not ridiculous for the time frame we were. Definitely would come back again. Thank you for a great time. Highly recommend. Room 2 is ideal location with a great balcony, close to the pool.

The Marquesa Hotel is a little slice of heaven on earth. I just returned from a 4 day vacation. I was at their annex building a short walk from the main building. I didn't want to leave the tranquility of poolside. Many amenities, impeccable properly, beautiful rooms, and a welcoming staff. A short walk to almost everything.

The Marquesa is a tropical paradise. The rooms and grounds are impeccable. Each room has a private porch or balcony. The staff is highly accommodating, and the location is central to the places we visited while there (I’m not talking about places on Duval Street). We look forward to returning.

Unbelievably "over the top" as far as menu items and service. We are locals so did not stay at the hotel. Kyle, our server was great with recommendations and wonderful descriptions of dishes from starters to desserts. Look at that smile! The crispy pork osso bucco was ample, sweet but yet pungent, served over a serving of mushroom risotto that was perfect. The blackened grouper steak was put atop blue crab and an outlandish succotash with a variety of beans, corn, tomatoes and a delectable sauce. Bibb salad was so delicious containing a goat cheese sauce and apple vinagrette. Desserts were "over the moon." We watched once of the chefs provide quality control of all items coming from the kitchen by inspecting each and every dish prepared. Very impressive. Marquesa is an amazing place, including the architecture and design, place settings, artwork, etc. We guarantee you will have an amazing evening!

We had a Jr suite and it was perfect. Room was clean, service was excellent, property was immaculate, and of course Bob the fatcat. When we go back to Key West, this will be our hotel to stay at.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights and LOVED it. Open check-in, Kate greeted us and showed us around the property. Kate and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful hotel with gorgeous rooms! We would love to stay here again.

We spent 7 nights at Marquesa and absolutely loved it. We have been to Key West several times, and this has been our best hotel experience. Our room, a junior suite, was exactly as the photos showed. Everything was perfect and so comfortable. The garden had two small pools, one heated and one not, but there were never more than 10 people out there at a time. The landscaping makes it feel like the pools are in a tropical jungle, providing quiet and privacy. The hot coffee by the pool every morning was wonderful. The staff were all great, as well. Warm, friendly, helpful. The hotel is also walking distance to all the restaurants and activities of Key West
