I would first like to state that i am an owner here at this resort. I believe most owners just have one week so i don't believe the furnishings and everything inside the unit except for the mattresses and the linen are that important but i believe that most people that go to key west are there for the beach, the pool and the entertainment. Well at this resort the beach was a horror show. The whole week that i was there they ( management ) never cleaned it and i believe that the owners should complain about this. The beach should be cleaned and usable

I wouldnt give this hotel a 1 star if it was an option! My supposed stay was in January of this year. After booking, I was informed no pets so I canceled. The person on the phone said no problem I will cancel your reservation. I found another place to stay down the road. Next thing I know I was charged anyway! I called and they said I was a no show! I told them I had canceled my stay and that i was told it would not be a problem. But they said they would not refund my money. I called my bank to fight the charges but was unable to. If you want a great hotel to stay at go to the Fisher Inn down the road. Excellent hotel!

Our beach front room was actually “pool front” with the nasty beach beyond. The online adds severely misrepresented what we were getting. Also, the “private beach” was completely covered with 3 feet of seaweed while the Waldorf Astoria next door maintained theirs each day. The desk clerk said he’d have the maintenance crew clean and rake it, which never happened. Moreover, they would’ve needed a backhoe to clean it at this stage. In short, don’t pay extra to stay here thinking you’ll enjoy a private beach—you won’t due to them never attempting to maintain it. See the pictures and the difference to the resort next door. And if you’re wondering—Yes, IT STINKS TOO! Furthermore, the security lock and blinds were broken. They replaced the lock but had to tape the blinds in place for privacy since they had no replacements on site. Others which stayed here before said the beach was same 2 years ago and the resort had same the excuses then. It’s clear they want everyone to see the pictures they post online and not the true condition today. It’s completely nasty! Finally, if it rains the fire alarm goes off every 10 minutes due to “ground fault” on the system display in the entry way. The clerk reset it 3 times and said it’s always like that when it rains and nothing else they could do…It’s obvious they only want the money and don’t take care of the place. Not sure why the ratings are high as they what they are, but others here during this stay complained about the same things I’m mentioning. I hope they too leave a true review. The location was the only good thing. It’s close to walk to a lot of good spots in Key West. Other than that, save some money and find a basic place with a pool and hit the public beaches. Disappointed on how they just said sorry for how things were but charged full rate. Last time we’ll be here at this so-called “resort”.

We stayed in a studio that was offered through airbnb. It was a spacious studio with king size bed and a mini kitchen. It was enough for what we needed for a one night stay. The location in perfect to catch a sunrise. Easy walk to many restaurants/sites on the southern part of the island.

We were greeted by the staff in an unfriendly fashion from the moment we walked in. They tried to charge my family an extra 25 dollars a night for having a 16 year old which was previously known by the hotel. Me and my family were bitten alive by ants. The food in our press was covered in ants. I wouldn't come near this place when staying in Key Largo.

Best resort on the island. Feels like an oasis. They even have a beach!! Which is harder than you'd think to come by on the island.

Me and my friends stayed at the Coconut beach resort for couple days July 2020. One of the best experiences in Key West. I was in love with the location. Although it’s a quite neighborhood the resort is couple blocks from the southernmost point. Walking distance to the most restaurants on Duval. This hotel is like a private paradise. It has an access to the private beach. Hotel is not huge but the property is big enough. Real tropical vibes. A great addition the resort has it’s own underground parking lot. Great pool and even a hot tube ! Perfect for families and couples. We got such a great room with the sea view. I loved the set up of the room and how spacious it was. Super clean and cozy! Housekeeping is doing a perfect job. All of the staff members were super friendly and accommodating. I really appreciate help of the front desk staff members from the very beginning. Ksenia was awesome. She is doing an amazing job. All our requests were done immediately. I wish every hotel had such attentive employee like Ksenia. Definitely will be back! Thank you for amazing experience! Strongly recommend to stay at Coconut Beach Resort Key West.

It was Key West so of course everything was great but our visit here was not perfect . We paid for an ocean view room and upon arrival found out we were double booked and had a tiny room facing the street. It was less than romantic on my wifes bday. Asked for a discount but didnt get anything . The guy at the front was cool. The attached restaurant was not open (possibly due to covid)

Lovely pool and hot tub. We left some valuables behind by mistake. When we called, they found them and are shipping them to us. That In itself deserves a 5 star rating!

Clean, although a bit dated. Nice pool and plenty of lounge chairs. The hot tub was way too hot!

Coconut Beach is beautiful and clean, the staff is friendly. I love being out on the lanai during the day and in the evening sitting watching the ocean from the rocking chairs. Run punch and tequila sunrise days with live music are a lot of fun!

Could easily be a 5 Start resort. The location and the intimate beach are fabulous. Pool and hot tub are nice. The view, 5 star for sure. Love the plantation blinds and the feel of old time south cottages. We stayed on the 2nd floor and loved the porch and view. What makes it only 3 stars is a few simple changes. 1st the mattresses, pillows and bedding are below average. Simply update to nice mattresses and pillows. 2nd the patio has sand and debris all over it. A simple spray down each night or morning would make it great, wipe down the patio chairs too. 3rd the beach had some seaweed build up (to be expected). One morning the staff raked the beach, but didn't actually clear the seaweed, just left the piles, so by afternoon is was strewn all over again. Easy changes. I don't even mind the dated furniture, it adds to the charm. Would I stay there again?? Maybe, but I really would like nicer bedding.

Booked here for 3 nights with my partner. Large, spacious room with a good view of the sea. Well located to the south side of the island and surrounding cafes and bars. Very quiet on an evening with a private feeling sun lounger area. Really enjoyed just sitting and watching the jets skis go by in the distance. A very relaxing environment to spend the last few days of our holiday.

Excellent location with Oceanfront rooms. Beach needs to be cleared of seaweed. Exterior of resort is maintained. Inside room is not well maintained. Outdated furniture. Uncomfortable bedding.

We are owners of 5 weeks here. It is definitely our happy place. Great location and a beautiful little resort.

I recently returned from my trip to Key West and had a wonderful stay at the Coconut Beach Resort. Compared to other hotels nearby, this place was very chill and quiet, which is nice if you're not into the party scene. Hardly any of the other guests were using the beach or swam in the ocean, so I felt like I had it all to myself! The room was clean and comfortable, although I have to admit I didn't spend a ton of time in there apart from sleeping because I was down at the beach or out on the town. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because when I booked, I was told there was bar access and there wasn't really. Backyard Louis is literally next door, but it's separated by a fence. But due to C'vid, you can no longer have easy access. You literally have to walk out on the street, convince the bartender you're not providing drinks to minors at the hotel, and then walk back to the pool. Definitely wasn't ideal. Another guest told me they are working on a key entry system to fix this issue. But in the meantime, maybe stop at the liquor store first and BYO. It's also worth mentioning that this property has a lot of stairs and semi-confusing walkways to get anywhere. You have to go up a flight of stairs to check in, then back down and up a different flight of stairs to get to the rooms, and down to the pool. I didn't see a ramp or elevator anywhere for anyone with less mobility.
