I had a wonderful time in my first visit back to the island after many years. Aleks was extremely helpful from the moment I booked my stay and upon my arrival. The owners were lovely as well. Location is fantastic - close to Duval St. and simultaneously tucked away from the busy atmosphere. Mimosas for breakfast. Super close to Fort Zachary Park, too. Would recommend a stay here to anyone who visits Key West!

OUR ROOM SMELLED LIKE SEWAGE WATER OUR ENTIRE THREE DAY STAY! The odor was terrible the day we checked in and we did our best to try and push through. When the smell got worse the second day we brought it to the attention of Caribbean house staff and they told us they already knew about the smell and that it was seeping through the walls into their front office. We didn’t understand why they didn’t address this with us the first day or why we weren’t given options. They attempted to dump bleach down our toilet but that didn’t work. We were forced to go buy our own air fresheners in an attempt to manage the odor since we had no other options. Today, when we checked out, we believed there might be some compensation. We were told by staff there was nothing they could do and to come back next year and hope things would be better. What was even more disappointing was that we have stayed here the past couple years and have brought family and friends to this establishment. Hotel staff said it was noted in their system we were regular guests but would still do nothing. In the end, the manager never reached out to or spoke with us at all. Not even a simple apology. We will NEVER be back and do not wish this type of service on anyone! DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Mary is a great hostess. Breakfast is small, but sweet with free breakfast mimosas! Room was small, but when you're on vacation, do you really stay in your room that much you need larger space? It was very clean, well kept, and the staff are very helpful. Super close to Duval so it's a great spot! This is an adult only establishment! We will definitely be returning for a repeat visit.

We enjoyed this little gem. Walking distance to everything. A simple complimentary breakfast with mimosas. Our room was quite small, but you aren't in Key West to sit in your room. There was a cute balcony that you could sit outside and enjoy the warm air. We would definitely stay here again.

Cute little B&B! Stayed here on a little weekend getaway! Room is quite small but very comfortable bed. This location is everything! Within walking distance to Duval street and the waterfront. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect place! Location is perfect! The room is small but perfect. The queen bad is comfortable. There is a small fridge and the shower works well. All very clean!

We loved our stay at Caribbean House. It's a charming B&B with a beautiful tropical vibe inside and out. Loved the decor and big wraparound porch, perfect central location within walking or biking distance to just about everything. They also offer a nice continental breakfast and mimosas every morning. Rates were very reasonable and the staff was super friendly. We would definitely stay there again the next time we are in Key West!

This was my first time in Key West and I don't have any other places experience to compare but I can still undoubtedly say this is a great place to stay. Staff was very hospitable. Great location, convenient to all the major places. Property is clean and has a fantastic charm.

I just spent 4 nights at Caribbean House (June 16 - June 20, 2023). The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are nice with everything you would need. The location cannot be beat.

It's interesting how most of the ratings reflect people's expectations more than the actual accomodations. Given the price compared to the price of rooms on the Key, this was amazing. The attached bathroom was great. The AC worked. The building itself is beautiful. There is a security gate. Most amazing of all, when we stayed multiple days they actually came in and cleaned up the room!! That was a first for us in these times while there's still COVID around. They offer bikes for rent. There was plenty of parking around as well as the opportunity to sign up for the reserved spots. And given the location of the hotel, we parked once and never moved out car, getting everywhere by walking out biking. The room is small but the ingenious rising of the queen bed made for plenty of storage space for our stuff, and the outside patio made for an excellent area to read, paint, write or whatever you might need to do at a table.

My friend and I drove from Atlanta and stayed here for one night in July 2022. This is a lovely house that is close to almost every sight in Key West (especially The Hemingway Home and Museum). The hosts were nice and the check-in and check-out processes were very convenient. They also provided free breakfast (bread, boiled eggs, orange juice etc).

Great location, right in the middle and close to duval, and close to Fort Zachary Taylor. They sent me a descriptive text on how to get in. And the rooms are great for what we wanted, cheap and minimal because we were only there to sleep and shower. Don't book this expecting to hang out there all day in luxury. And the showers are small. (I'm not complaining, we were looking for cheap so I knew what we were getting so it was perfect for us). I LOVED the carribean decor! FYI- The breakfast bar is by request only. There were no check out instructions, and service is down a star because I heard they give a birthday gift if you let them know, which I did at booking, then verified over email also and I STILL didn't get the gift, I had to ask for it.

We couldn't have had nearly the fun we had in Key West if it wasn't for the team at Caribbean House. Every morning we were able to enjoy their breakfast and coffee before biking off to Duval St. and the Harbor for the day. We had to switch rooms because we booked on late notice, but the girls were able to move our stuff for us while we were out for the day. Overall, we'll probably stay here every time we're in KW.

After camping for 4 nights in other parts of the keys, we were ready for an air conditioned room and a real bed. Little did we know, we’d find so much more at Caribbean House! I was a bit confused about the parking situation, and Aleks was happy to assist me via phone and even stood in a parking space to hold it for me while I moved my car. Way to go above and beyond for the guest! Seriously, outstanding customer service the entire stay! Our room was beautiful and cozy. We loved the decor and the hot shower! The wrap around porch and ambiance could not have been better. The name of the property is fitting as it is certainly authentic! Other reviewers had mentioned it being noisy, but we never heard a thing and had a very restful night. As for the roosters mentioned, if you don’t want to hear chickens in the morning, you should probably stay away from the keys. They, along with the cats down the street, just added more KW charm! ❤️🐔 In the morning, Aleks delivered a wonderful selection of light breakfast items to our room in an adorable basket. My favorite part of the property is definitely the common area where coffee, tea, and mimosas are available in the morning. You just have to see it for yourself! The location was fantastic and only a short walk from literally everything you could possibly want to do in KW! I couldn’t believe we found this at such an affordable price. We were so sad we were only able to stay one night as we had to get going, but we are already planning for next time. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Street is under construction but that was not shared with us in the text we received. Talking to anyone in the office was like talking to rocks. They definitely care to do the least possible and talking is on the list! Don't expect quick or late communication from them unless it is related to paying. Room was too small for one let alone 2. You can do better.

We absolutely loved our stay at Caribbean House. Perfect location to Duval St & Mallory Square. Our room was perfect for the two of us. The staff was amazing. My next trip to the Keys will be at Caribbean House.

The rooms are tiny, but they are clean and cool. Breakfast arrived within minutes of calling the front desk. Only real issue was that some of the other guests were very loud after midnight.

Would DEFINITELY stay again. The location is perfect. Could not have been a better location. Easily walkable to everything, or you could easily bike to every destination like we did. We were so grateful for the ease of renting their bikes. We were truly biking for all of our days to all of our restaurants, excursions, bars, etc. The staff here are so accommodating. We were so thankful for everything they did for us. We had a celebratory bottle of champagne provided, they held our bags for 4 hours after checkout because of our later flight, and the communication was exceptional. The rooms were clean, and there was cute balcony seating. We loved how housekeeping replaced our towels and made our bed during our stay. Also, the locked secure door made us feel even more comfortable with where we were staying. Complimentary grab & go breakfast, although we ate out for breakfast each day, it was appreciated. My only tip is to be sure you are comfortable with who you are traveling with if you are in one of the smaller rooms. We stayed in the Granada which was all that we needed and did the job, but the room is quite tight and cozy. After all, we were truly only in there for sleeping. If we stay again, we would probably choose a bigger room for comfort but this room certainly served it’s purpose and was still so wonderful. Bed was comfy! We will certainly be back!! Thank you Caribbean house!!

My husband and I spent 4 days in Key West and stayed at the Caribbean House. Since I go off of reviews when booking I want to be honest but fair. I really like that there’s a keypad to get into the little courtyard after hours. The area is nice and feels safe, but that gave an extra sense of security. The rooms are very small but clean - we could smell that they had been disinfected (in a good way, not overpowering). We didn’t mind the small room because who in the world stays in their room other than to sleep?! The bathroom door was not a solid door - it was a louvered door (slotted) - so you could see/hear everything, which might make a newlywed or newer couple uncomfortable. After 26 years together it didn’t bother us, but it would have bothered me on year one or even year five lol. A big plus is that the air conditioning in the room works really, really well!! I wouldn’t call it a bed and breakfast as the breakfast was more of a continental style. It also seemed to be better varied with more offerings on the weekend than the weekday. However they have free breakfast mimosas and what they do provided is enough to get you started for the day. We prefer to eat out and try the local food, so the continental breakfast was not an issue for us.The breakfast area is covered (which is nice if it rains or is super hot/sunny); and it’s very cute. They have ashtrays out if you're a smoker. They also have a microwave if you have leftovers and a fridge with snacks/drinks (honor system). One downside is that the bed was really uncomfortable for us, (very firm). But we are older and spoiled to our higher-end mattress at home. Not a deal breaker for us but something to keep in mind if you have back issues. Our backs were definitely sore upon waking. Parking is scarce, but we lucked out and were able to park directly across the street, on the street, for free. There’s also a free parking lot not far or you can pay a reasonable fee to have one of the 4 spots they do offer. The major selling point for us was that it’s in such a FANTASTIC, central location that we were able to walk everywhere! There’s great restaurants very close by and Duval Street, Mallory Square, and Southern Most Point were all a very comfortable walking distance. We didn’t use our rental car once. We literally walked everywhere because it was so convenient!! However they also offer inexpensive bicycle rentals if that’s more your speed. It definitely has a more laid back vibe and is much less fussy than an hotel. It felt very “Key West” in a good way! All in all we were very pleased with our stay and would definitely go back!

This cute little B&B is located right in the middle of all my favorite places in Key West - just park the car and easy walking to it all! The rooms are clean, comfortable and had every convenience I would want.

Caribbean House was a Great place to stay!! The rooms were very comfortable and the location was perfect!! Aleks was a joy to work with!! I loved going down in the morning to the little breakfast nook to have our morning coffee and mimosa. Aleks always greeted us with a smile and a recommendation. We also rented bikes from there and was able to bike around town. If your going to Key West, staying at the Caribbean House is a must!!!

My husband and I have been coming here for several years now. This is a great location right in the middle of everything and really close to the beach. The rooms are always clean and well stocked and they have a nice continental breakfast.

Clean room with a very nice continental breakfast. Close to good dining options. Beware thou the advertised queen room is not a queen bed. We stayed in the Dominica room and the placement of the bathroom fixtures in a very small room made for a challenging morning.

We have been to Key West a few times and tried a variety of places. Last summer we stayed at Caribbean House and it was perfect. Simple, tropical feel. Quick, fresh breakfast, not to mention mimosas! Yes the rooms are small, however we are not in Key West for the room. You cannot beat the location and hospitality. Plus the iguanas hanging around are a pretty cool sight. Make sure to rent a scooter from A&M. It is so much fun. (They offer free airport shuttle if you rent from them as well.) We also suggest La Creperie, just few steps away for an authentic French breakfast and coffee. We cannot wait to go back to Caribbean House next summer and stay in the Martinique room again!

Beautiful room. All you need. AC was a little loud. Vibrated the room sounded like bass from a local bar. Locals were so friendly. Great spot to be close the Duval street. Firefly across the street is a must to eat. Amazing. Gordon Ramsey style.

For the price, this place was wonderful. I knew my room was going to be small but it probably has been one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed at. Location was awesome 👌. Staff was super friendly. Best description is Campy Flamingo Florida Style and I loved it!

Perfect location! Close to everything! We even lucked out and got front row street parking! The room was perfect for us, even though it was small, we spent so much time exploring that all we needed was a cool comfy place to sleep and that’s exactly what we got! The honor fridge was super convenient..service from front desk was awesome, they personally called us to let us know they would be closing a little early on the 4th of July! Would love to stay again!

Pros: location is excellent and we were able to walk everywhere, check in was easy and hosts communicated well, room was clean, some parking on site for an extra fee. Cons: room was quite small with standalone sink right by the bed, continental breakfast was poor quality (this place is not a "bed and breakfast" as advertised), noise traveled well between rooms. All in all it was a good home base for visiting Key West due to location and cleanliness, and staff communicated well via text and email.

Caribbean house is a wonderful place to stay in Key West! Just off Duval and Whitehead, and Petronia itself has some great spots! Easy walks to everything on the south side of key west! I had the opportunity to move to 3 different rooms during my stay. The staff made each move easy and painless and were super friendly the whole time! Each room has its own personality and decorations, which really added to the experience. The hammock chair on the rear upper balcony was amazing to read in late-night! Breakfast was a solid continental breakfast with a good spread and surprisingly decent coffee. I know where I'll be staying on any future visits!
