Very nice BB in historic home. Pros: - The staff were amazing! They made our stay special, and were friendly, helpful and more than accommodating. - The hot breakfast, served daily on the lovely front porch, was excellent. - Very quiet location. Cons: - Our room was very tiny and had a small window with a view of only the pipes and other AC paraphernalia of the building next door. - No parking, so we spent $30-$35/day to park in a city lot across the street (which may or not have open spaces at any given time). - Location is quiet, but that meant a very long walk to Mallory Square and the main drag. We enjoyed our stay, and would certainly consider staying g here in the future.

Amazing stay. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Very clean. Nicely decorated and updated room. Daily cookies were scrumptious. Daily breakfast was amazing! Only thing I would have liked was for the pool to be open later. I Will definitely stay here again !

We had a wonderful stay. The room was very cozy, comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast on the front porch was great. Good variety each morning and very relaxing. Location was perfect on the southern end of Duval Street. A lot more quieter and relaxing. Close to beach, restaurants, shops and bars. We found our home away from home when visiting Key West. We will definitely be back.

This is our first time here. We were very pleasantly surprised with the staff and their attentiveness to all of our needs. Front desk Keith was incredible and went out of his way to accommodate our simple requests, which included toothbrushes. The room although small, was very comfortable and served its purpose. We had breakfast on the premises during our stay and the servers were very very attentive and pleasant. The only disappointment was that room service is not done daily, and the air conditioning unit was a bit noisy; however outside of that, it was a fantastic experience and we will visit again!

Avalon staff thought of every detail! We loved the morning breakfast, afternoon cookies and the perfectly delightful private room. I cannot say enough good things about Gary, Julie and the rest of the staff. They are attentive without hovering and made our experience so enjoyable. We will definitely stay again. Also - the proximity to the activities in town was ideal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Avalon Bed and Breakfast. From the minute you arrive you are taken care of. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We loved that it was not a crowded resort, and breakfast on the porch was a great start to every day. The rooms are well maintained and very clean. The beds are to die for! We will return.

Absolutely fantastic! I wasn't sure about booking at a bed & breakfast, but my wife thought it looked nice - so we gave it a try. NOT disappointed! The room was very nice, very clean, as well as the bathroom. Adrianne was friendly, & made sure we got checked in, showed us where everything was, & showed us to our room. Breakfast was a mix of standard continental, & a hot buffet. Definitely can feel confident in recommending this to anyone visiting Key West.

Excellent stay! Staff is super friendly. Our room was beautiful...better than pictures show. Very nice continental breakfast Avalon helped make our trip special, and we can't wait for the next time. Only drawback is lack of parking, but that is a separate issue.

Highly recommend! Simple and comfortable. I’ve never slept as well at any other hotel or resort, almost better than at home. Every member of the hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. Gary and Keith at the front desk were great and made us feel so comfortable and welcome. They have cookies everyday which was a great treat. Myself and the three other people I was with were impressed with the cleanliness and upkeep of such an old building. The breakfast included was great and had plenty of options. Because the building is older sound travels between rooms. This wasn’t an issue until our last night when a large group checked into the room next to us and were roudy and loud. Besides that one group all the other guests were very respectful of noise and their surroundings. I can’t wait to visit again!

Avalon Bed and Breakfast was the perfect place on Duval Street! The staff was very welcoming from our check in! Whenever we needed something, there was at least one person there to help, but sometimes two. The housekeeping staff was great! The ladies serving breakfast were the best and always there to offer more! This place was relaxing for our anniversary trip and we were just steps away from everything Duval Street had to offer. We flew into the nearby EYW, which was so close. The beach and restaurants are only 1 minute away! Would totally stay here again!

Great location across from the butterfly conservatory. The room was great and the cleaning staff is wonderful. The breakfast is phenomenal; Tina makes a great omelette while multiplexing like no other all while bussing tables and being super sweet and helpful. She really could use some help! There are 4 different pools available, 2 of which have a full bar - all very nice. A couple small bummers::The ice machine in the Avalon bldg isn't working and there is no coffee maker in the rooms or at least not in ours.

The single queen rooms are smaller than a hotel in the heart of Tokyo. Can't even fit 2 people in the bathroom at a time. It's so small they don't even provide bag stands, your bag will be on the floor. Our room (#428) was in a corner with zero natural lighting. Considering we paid $450 a night we were extremely disappointed.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Avalon and wish we had booked another night! Friendly and helpful staff. Great location close to the action (a block from the southernmost photo spot, across the street from the butterfly conservatory, on the quieter end of Duval, a mile walk to Mallory Square but doable and fun for people watching, and easy access to the Duval Loop free transportation). The rooms were fantastic! Comfortable beds, spacious showers, good AC. The morning breakfast was perfect for us. If you’re looking for a pool to spend time in, this might not be the spot because it’s small but fine to cool off in. We highly recommend, and if we ever come back this way we will book early and for several night! 10/10 recommend!
