Let me preface this review by saying this was our third stay and were not aware of the change of ownership before arriving, but immediately noticed the change. The Curry Mansion has lost its charm. The warmth and energy are gone from this beautiful B&B. Long gone are the days of being greeted by happy office staff (often the owners), instead new management provides instructions on a board. Sad! Nancy, Phil & Patsy took great care to make the guests feel welcomed and were genuinely happy to see us. Breakfast and happy hour are a nice perk and are still provided. Breakfast still is served by the same sweet ladies, but happy hour has diminished and was a disappointment. Maybe we’d feel differently if it was our first stay and had no comparison of what it once was. We had an opportunity to speak with others guests who shared our sentiments - all of us disappointed with the lack of interest by new management. We will not return.

Management team was very unprofessional. After parking in a designated guest parking area, literally directly in-front of a “guest parking” sign the property manager had my vehicle towed. They stated the area was roped off with caution tape, which it was not at the time I parked there. I am not an idiot I wouldn’t move caution tape, park, and put the tape back around the area I just parked in, which is what the property manager claimed. They even tried lying directly to my face saying they had video, which I pleaded with them to please show me and they refused. Basically somebody didn’t do their job and roped off the area after cars were parked there and wouldn’t take responsibility. When I first found out my car was towed, the property manager said don’t worry go enjoy the night and they would take care of it. When I tried to follow up that night I couldn’t get a single person on the phone, the next morning it took hours to get anybody to speak to and when I finally did they basically said sorry that sucks but there’s nothing we can do. $600 later to get my car back and no help from management and no offer to help compensate. Worst property management team I’ve ever encountered and I would never stay at one of their properties again.

My family and I have stayed at the Curry Mansion for many many years. It is even tradition for us to book each year at the Curry Mansion. We were so shocked to see the “happy hour” terminated, no more breakfast, and most of all the authentic part of the house which was the history of the Curry’s. It now feels like a regular motel just much higher price and commercialized. It is very sad to see the new management changed such an amazing place to stay. There is much more for me to post but I won’t. I even spoke with employees to ask what happened. They even expressed how unhappy they are to work there now. It’s sad for me to say but my family and I will not be returning.

Water is running all over the floor and three swim-sized towels still can't contain it. Contacted property manager FOUR times and still no help. This is a two night stay and we can't find fresh towels or linens, there are NO Staff and NO CHECK-IN counter. One-star review is being generous.

Horrible experience; will not return. We first came to Curry a couple years ago when it was run by the original owners. We had an amazing stay and couldn't wait to return. The made to order breakfast, the happy hour, the live music, and the super friendly and helpful staff made our trip amazing! The new management is not up to task and has ruined the Curry Mansion reputation. No concierge (or any hospitality staff for that matter) onsite. The maintenance staff that wonders the property is rude and useless. No breakfast other than tiny prepackaged muffins (which taste gross). No coffee or tea, other than a coffee machine similar to what you'd find in a hospital waiting room. No happy hour; no live music. The courtyard and pool deck were littered with animal droppings. On property parking (which was a huge perk of staying here!) was occupied by randomly placed tables, and the gates were chained. What cars were able to park on the lot, were tagged with rude little notes on the windshield to move or be towed. All of the benefits that came with staying at the Curry Mansion B'n'B are gone, and without any reflection in the price paid. This location is no longer worth the premium cost. You can stay elsewhere cheaper and enjoy better amenities. We will not be returning. I've posted some of the picture taken of the issues observed.

We have stayed here 4 or 5 times with old ownership and was perfect. New owners have destroyed everything that was so good. I would not recommend this place to anyone now. The great breakfast and happy hour and piano player in the evening is gone. It is now completely self service with no staff to held with anything. Fortunately there are many other resorts to pick from.

This is an absolutely amazing house. Packed literally to the rafters with amazing history and things to see. Things I have never seen in my life. Loved it so much. Lovely lady Patsy who is the daughter of the lady that made it possible for us all to enjoy and Denis were so nice. Told us some of the history and were extremely hospitable. We didn't even stay we came to see the house but when we come back to the keys we are definately going to book here. Anyone visiting key west is missing out on a gem if they miss a visit here. Loved it can't say it enough

Very poor experience! Amenities were not as advertised. Whoever heard of a B and B with no breakfast. Also no social hour. Talked to several guests (who provided me their contact info.) that were similarly mislead. When I spoke with a person I found in an office onsite, he basically told me that Expedia needed to update their web site as none of the amenities I had questions about had been offered since the location had changed ownership. By the way I introduced myself but he never offered a name or a title, very odd for someone who deals mainly with the customer service. The only reason I gave it one star was due to the wonderful housekeeping staff. Room ready early, cleaned daily and supplies replenished without asking.

I used to love it here. I don’t anymore it has gone done in quality greatly, and they staff tells you things and then does something different. Nice rooms but the experience is no where close to as nice as it was since the new owners showed up. I would not recommend staying here.

I loved it, the rooms are super clean, first class attention, all very friendly, the hotel has breakfast included, and 2 hours of cocktails in the afternoon, besides you have a washer and dryer, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and the fantastic location!!!

My room was clean, spacious, and right next to the pool. The staff were very friendly and accomidating; the location was fantastic. Its only a 10 minute taxi ride (3 miles) to the Airport! I would absolutely stay here again!!!

A little piece of heaven in already stunning Key West. Located right behind Fogarty's & the Flying Monkey. Staff is wonderful and friendly. Clean rooms. Rusty the resident cat is so chill and friendly. They do offer complimentary breakfast in the morning, cocktails and live local musicians in the evening. Be sure to get a first floor if stairs aren't your thing. They have bathrooms & shower near the pool so you don't have to run to your room if you're enjoying the pool. I also encourage you to check out the inside of the house, so much history. You won't be disappointed.

We stayed at the Mansion 2 days after IAN rolled thru. The room was clean. Breakfast around the pool was a great way to start the day. The location could not be better. Key West hospitality at its best.

Terrible management! We parked the car on the property and the management ordered it to be towed. They had a party in the front yard and needed our parking slot to place a mobile toilet. There was no notice on the parking slot to warn us, and a text message was sent to all the guests but it didn’t include license plate numbers so we didn’t know this was regarding our car. We had to pay Arnold’s towing 500$ to recover our car. The management did not agree to reimburse us for the towing - nobody is on site and they didn’t assume any responsibility in regards to towing our car without proper notice.

Still a quaint and clean place. It was better when they provided breakfast and happy hour. There is a morning coffee station and some microwave food. I miss all the family's personal charm and antiques but it is cleaner smelling. It would be nice if they fixed the ice and drink machine. Everything is automated and you see almost no employees.

This is a perfect cozy place if you'd love to stay in a bread and breakfast with a historic feel. The location cannot be more perfect, right off Duval street with free parking on and off premises. Hot breakfast and happy hour drinks are cherries on top.

Great location, spacious rooms, friendly service. Complimentary happy hour and breakfast a nice touch. The only complaint was the early morning non stop slamming of doors. There were only a few rooms on the 1st floor Inn and I think it was the cleaning staff just going in and out. Could not sleep past 7:30 am which was rather disappointing.

We just finished a 3 night stay here and unfortunately we didn't get the room we had booked. It was a little disappointing. It was my mother's 72nd birthday and she wanted one last vacation. Her health has been declining rapidly and the doctor advised us to get in whatever quality time we could soon. We planned a trip. She chose Key West. I told her to pick any hotel she wanted. She loved the pictures and was particularly thrilled with the Victorian decor and the big canopy beds of this hotel. So I made reservations well in advance and was very specific as to what type if room we wanted...A king or queen canopy room with an adjoining sitting room. The woman taking the reservation assured me they had one and we booked it. (She was very pleasant). Upon arrival and entering our room my mom immediately noticed there was no big canopy bed. She was very disappointed. I called the front desk and the gentleman told me that he didn't see it in the notes and that unfortunately all the other rooms were booked. Then he offered to check us out so we could go to another hotel. (Which of course was not an option on a busy MLK weekend...plus we had just driven for two days to get there). He suggested we find the owner, Phil, and talk to him. We tried once but he was on a phone call and we were told to try again the next morning. My mother was so bummed out she wouldn't even come down for happy hour the first night. But we made do and went on. The next morning my husband went looking for the owner and met his wife (also an owner). She just told us the same thing. Their all booked up and that there's nothing in the notes about a canopy bed. This was my ailing mother's last hurrah and we really did try and make everything as perfect as we could. Honestly, my husband and I were fine with our beds and overall satisfied with the room. But obviously we weren't making it up. We did specifically ask for something and assured that we would get it. And then did not. At over $500 a night they could have at least offered us something. My mother finally got over it by the second night (although two of her friends have already mentioned the darn canopy bed to me.) I tried. I will say that the place is gorgeous and the staff pretty friendly. The location is amazing and the fellow guests were a god-send (especially helping me with my mother). But if you have specific requirements, make sure they put them in the notes and have them send you a detailed email.

One of a kind historic experience. Nice breakfast egg options cooked to order with sides of bacon, sausage, ham, fruit, cereals, bagels, toast, butter, cream cheese etc...everything. Our room was across the street and half a block off Duval; plenty of room with a nice sitting room and balcony overlooking a section of Duval street. You could definitely hear music at night but it was manageable. They offer a nice happy hour that's completely free of charge with wine and a generous alcohol selection/mixers. The mansion itself is HISTORIC and well preserved...furnishings, decor etc. Owners are very friendly.

Have stayed there half a dozen times and always recommend it to others, but since the change in ownership changes have been made that, to me, have negatively affected the experience and charm of staying there. To me, it is now cold and impersonal, and with that comes an increase in the room cost. Will not stay or recommend the Mansion for a vacation.

Cute rooms and very clean. Location is perfect. The happy hour and music every night was nice. The breakfast was simple but decent. Very historic property with lots of character. Loved sitting on the front porch rocking chairs. The staff was very friendly.

Bed was shot. Carpet has seen better days. The lady cleaning our room was amazing. She was everywhere including managing breakfast, also good. Happy hour kind of fun. Must get new beds and clean all carpets. It was in a perfect location. Duvall street noise did not bother me. We were in room 308. This would be perfect for family. Had trundle bed in extra room.

Great experience to stay in this old classic house. Rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast and happy hours are fantastic. Can't beat the location to everywhere you want to go.

My husband found and booked our room here on an impulse trip to Key West. I loved the room we got, and only wish we'd been able to spend more time exploring the mansion and its grounds. Its location was perfect for walking into the heart of Key West. Once we parked, we didn't need our car to get around until after we checked out the next day.

The property has so much personality and history in it. It is conveniently located to Duvall, it's clean, includes breakfast and cocktail hour with live music, and they have parking on site which is a huge plus. However, the absolute best thing about the Amsterdam's Curry Mansion Inn are the people who work there. They could not be more friendly, welcoming, personable, and accommodating. In a very short amount of time you feel like you're a guest at a friend's house (if your friends own historic mansions) rather than staying at any other inn or hotel. Tip: book directly through them as they can probably beat the advertised rates from a hotel aggregator site by cutting out the middle man.

Amazing location right next to Duval Street which allowed us to explore without much need for vehicles of any type. Rooms are a little dated, but it's an old building so that's to be expected. TV in the room might as well have been my cell phone held at full arms length, but you don't go to Key West to watch TV I guess. Shower faucet was unintuitive and led to a cold shower until we spent the time to figure it out. All told though, the location is unmatched so I'd definitely return and stay there again.

Our room was by the pool and there's a sign out there "absolute silence after midnight". Well, people are not considerate of that. People were talking loudly and laughing til well past 2. That along with the bass noise from the bars made it really hard for my mom and I to sleep :( Because there's no management at the property, people do whatever they want.

Amazing location! Their staff isn’t onsite and are not quick to respond despite saying they are available 24/7. This place could have such potential if it had onsite reception. Adorable home and in the heart of all the action.

Best price. No amenities. We called to let them know that the ice machine was out of order and told us there was another machine on the property across the street, there was no ice machine to be found.

The rooms are beautiful, the location is great, but the service and personal attention are gone. No more happy hour, no more personalized breakfast, and no more staff on the grounds. Everything is now managed electronically. Such a disappointment!

Fantastic place to stay. We love the old mansion and can't wait to come back. Kelly at the front desk was amazing! Thank to the whole staff.

Very friendly staff! We arrived early and they were very hospitable. Met one of the owners who was extremely nice and down to earth. The rooms aren't as nice as a newer hotel, but they make up for it with the other activities they offer. The only issue we had was the hot tub not working reliably.

Gorgeous hotel but my room must be right next to a club/bar. I know everyone comes to key-west to party but damn at 3am they were still blaring their music and I couldn’t sleep even with ear plugs. Otherwise I would give curry a 5/5

Absolute jewel on the island. We loved our stay and will stay here again. This place is rich in history, the staff goes above and beyond, and the location is perfect. This was our first time in Key West and we were taken away by how friendly everyone was. The breakfast was the perfect complement to start the morning and happy hour....who doesn't love a happy hour with live music the discuss your plan for the evening.

Our room was dirty and dusty and our shower wouldn’t get warm or hot. Ran it for about 20 minutes waiting and still nothing. The sinks got scalding hot though. Carpet looked like it had barf stains and there was definitely mold under the sink cabinet. Giving it two stars because the location was awesome but that’s about it. I’ve stayed at a lot of ‘historic’ homes/ B & B’s and this one felt like it had SO much potential but wasn’t properly maintained. We were told we could keep our bags there after check out and we were told to leave them in the front room by the front door. Just felt odd 🤷🏻‍♀️ Pool was REALLY small and don’t feel like it was worth the money.

Beautifully maintained mansion with a very homey feel. Interesting history and friendly staff.

This is a beautiful historic home set among lush landscaping, a block from Duval St. action. Nothing beats complimentary happy hour with live music, hot breakfast, and zero resort fees! Seriously, aside from taxes, the price you see is the price you pay -- the number one reason we chose Curry Mansion!! The rooms are quaint and the water pressure in the shower left much to be desired, but then this isn't your typical modern hotel. Overall, a super stay. Very friendly staff - Kelly rocked the front desk AND the happiest 2 hours of every evening as bartender. Rusty, the resident cat, despite aloofness enjoys mingling with guests too. I loved chatting with other couples in/near the small centralized pool or the front porch rocking chairs. We learned a lot about the local scene from the frequent flyers who have enjoyed their stays at Curry Mansion for years (decades even). Management, don't change a single awesome amenity and we'll be back as well!
