Was looking forward to a stay at Papa's hideaway for a bachelor party. We were planning on sitting by the pool and enjoying ourselves but when we checked in, the pool was found in the condition in the pictures. We were told that 'it would be done in the next day' but of course, it definitely wasn't. The company gave us a small refund but they should have let us know they were doing construction instead of allowing us to fly all the way to Key West and get a surprise.

A beautiful place for our family vacation of a lifetime. Setting is really great if you can rent the entire complex as we did. Very clean and comfortable. We hated to leave. A few things were not perfect as you would expect with a rental property. One example is that one of the pool deck chairs needs to be replaced as the bottom is falling apart. I would expect that this will be replaced. A good example on the positive side is that there are 2 washers and dryers. One of the dryers had an out of order sign on it when we arrived. What a nice surprise when a new dryer was brought in on the very next day.

If I could give zero stars I would! The entire reason we booked this place, and booked way in advance, was for the pool. An hour before we check in they call us to inform us the pool is not filled and will not be ready for our stay. There was no way they did not know about this for weeks! The concrete was torn up, the pool was empty, all the ladders had been removed and a pallet of new concrete was sitting outside the pool in the middle of the courtyard. This thing had no chance of being ready. This was also a major safety hazard! They didn’t even both to rope the pool off! Anyone could have easily fallen in and died. On the Saturday morning of our bachelor party, they actually showed up to start jack hammering the concrete some more!! They also left all the old furniture out on the street, so blocking the gate to get in were 5-6 used mattresses and box springs and a pullout couch. Needless to say I would never stay here again nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone.

Awesome experience with the kids. A block away from the southern most point. Had a pool and grill in the center, a pool bath room, washer dryer, all rooms came with a fridge stove oven and microwave. It was a very comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

Came here with a group for a wedding and we rented the whole property. Beautiful, quiet setting, amazing property, comfortable furniture, pretty decor, and a peaceful private pool. Dining, sights, and entertainment within walking distance. Excellent customer service from Vacasa staff including calls on the day we arrived and one on Saturday, each ending with someone’s personal cell phone number to text or call with issues. We actually did have to utilize this, and both times got very prompt resolution to our minor problem. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved our two nights here, will definitely keep it in mind for our next trip.

Wonderful place from the opening of the gate to closing it when we left. Plenty of towels, good layout in the apartment. Kitchen had everything we needed linens were hotel quality. Being in a compound in a dead end street we felt safe. We made friends and will most certainly be back.

They told us 1 hour before checking in that the pool was under construction. Construction on it all weekend long, waking us up early in the am.

Quiet, beautiful secluded area including small pool and little paths. I like that it had a little gate closing it all off also. Room was nice with everything you need. Iguana or two can be seen running around which the 8 yr old loved.. Quiet beautiful courtyard around a nice little pool ( 20 ft?) I loved it.

Got to enjoy this amazing place for a week. Very clean and quiet. Easiest check in ever. Beautiful tropical gardens, pool and just minutes away from everything. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again on are next visit to the Keys

I was charged and then received an email regarding cancelled reservation without a given explanation. Still waiting for money to be placed back into my bank account.

Papa’s hideaway was great for my husband and me. The location was perfect because you’re right off of duval, but the landscaping of this property makes you feel more secluded. It was quiet and clean. Bed was comfortable. The pool was great, and so was the rest of the property - plenty of outdoor chairs, a grill, hammock. Would definitely stay here again!

What a great hideaway! Room was great, property was really nice and the location couldn’t have been better. It is close to everything but off the beaten path, private yet close.
