Definitely one of the nicer places in key west. Had a very interesting creation of fries with sloppy Joe sauce instead of chili. Wasn’t exactly my thing, since I found out I would have preferred chili, but they also loaded the fries with a huge amount of real cheese which I love. Peel-and-eat shrimp with cocktail sauce was fabulous and couldn’t be better. Had to get a piece of key lime pie in key west. Wasn’t sure if this was the place and unfortunately it wasn’t. The pie quality was surprisingly high in texture however it was like they ran out of lime juice and zest on the day they made it. Almost zero lime flavor in the pie. But the waitress was very nice and took it off the bill.

A place you just have to try. I love the environment and feel you get inside of Sloppy Joes. We got the Fish Tacos and the Famous Sloppy Joe! The fish tacos were very tasty, the fish was fried and it was served with salsa. My husband got the Sloppy Joe which was also delicious, not your moms but still very good! They had live entertainment at night and the place was alive. A nice spot to enjoy some bar food and a beer 🍺

In 1986, I walked into Sloppy Joe’s & thought I’d sure like to come back here when I’m grown up. Well, I did & glad I did. It was so much fun. We had beers & cocktails that were fabulous. Sloppy Joe’s Island Beer was a great easy drinking beer. The staff was wonderful & our bartender was from Bloomington & his wife was from Indy. It was nice to be served by a fellow Hoosier. Also, he was kind enough to let me just a step or two behind the bar for a picture of the both of us. Be ready for a place that’s busy busy & a bit of a wait for a table. One has to have an eagle eye when trying to snag a spot at the bar. I suggest a seat at the bar if for anything to have a drink possibly where Earnest Hemingway sat for a drink on many of occasions. The gift shop is a nice spot too. The shirts are well made & very reasonably priced. I was so happy to cross having a visit at Sloppy Joe’s off my bucket list.

Excellent! A must stop place to get a bite to eat. The sloppy Joe is wonderful, and my husband got a cuban sandwich. Both were excellent. They have live music and the atmosphere was decorated with a military flair. If you are wondering about going, go! It's great!

Sloppy Joe's is definitely a must when going to Key West. It is definitely one of our favorite places to hang out when visiting Key West. The location is perfect in the middle of all the action. They always have a band up on stage. They are always busy, but we always manage to get a table. They usually have seats at the bar as well. The staff and atmosphere are awesome. We have never been disappointed. They make you feel like a local from the moment you step foot in the building. We enjoy the drinks and apps here. My husband loves their conch fritters, and I love their key lime pie. It's a great place to have drinks and relax. Restrooms are to the left of the stage. It may be hard to see when it's so busy. Restrooms are always clean. They have a small gift shop just off to the side of the bar. We have to buy a t shirt every time we go. Their merchandise is priced reasonably. If you are in Key West, you will not regret stopping in and enjoying a good cocktail and some great appetizers. It is also a great place to stop by and hydrate and listen to some good music.

If I lived here on Key West, my second home would be at Sloppy Joe's. Great friends, #1 staff, food is good but the iced cold drinks are the best. Not for children. Walk around Old Town, get an appetite and stop in here for refreshing adult beverages, laughs, great live entertainment and cool off.

I’ll tell you why this place is good: (1) Lots of seating. Which meant no wait on a busy Saturday afternoon. (2) Fast service. Had our food literally in minutes of ordering. (3) Friendly, efficient staff. Quick. Now for the food. The conch fritters were crispy. I wish there was more conch inside, but for the price, they were great. The sloppy joe sandwich is famous. It was fine. Here’s what I’m saying: for the price, and the novelty, and the central location, and speed— it was great.

Iconic spot to stop for a drink and listen to some live music. Plenty of seating for our 13 person family. The Original Sloppy Joe sandwich is very tomatoey and tasty. Cajun fries are well seasoned up and have some nice kick. And the Sloppy Joe Island Ale was crisp and refreshing on a 100+ degree day.

The service was top-notch. The drinks, food, and prices were surprisingly good for being one of the most popular tourist spots on the island. I was very positively surprised by how well they run the entire establishment. I was there with the whole family several times for lunch and dinner during our stay, which never disappointed us. They have decent pizza for picky kids. Plus, they have great live music all day long.

Place is ok- live music is great. Drinks are decent as well. Food wasn’t the best- I ordered the Nachos and they were horrible. Could not even eat them. Place is lively and has a good atmosphere. Would NOT eat here again but would come for the drinks. No parking but within walking distance of Mallory Square Go someplace else to eat.

Sloppy Joe’s is what it is, and every time you go to Key West you got to at least take a picture outside or head on in. We had some food, a flatbread pepperoni pizza as well as steamed shrimp appetizers and fish and chips. The food is basic but good, however sloppy Joe’s is not known as being a fine dining place. It is a large and fun environment with live music and lots of beer and drinking, and I hope that never changes!

Fish taco totally frozen product. I love this place would give the 5 stars cause yeah I did 2019 New Years there. Oh the lack of memories -blank space- but yeah my friends sister criticized the fish taco and I have to concur... the food is hearty but not as good as some of the other options. Drinks flow frozen and from bottles and taps though quite well!

Fantastic casual dining, have the South Carolina pulled pork sandwich...you will be amazed. We also shared the fish tacos...so good. Service was good, but it was REAL busy for lunch and the live music was excellent, but a touch too loud.

Seasoned day or "night pub crawlers" will already have this place on their list & not just for the liquor and craft beer.. You can enjoy food that is well prepared, and enjoy eating while the live music plays. A "Hemingway" haunt that helped fuel his writing. Read some!!! PS: Yeah...dog friendly

If you like good food and good sized portions, then you must try this place. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap and it was huge! I couldn't even eat half of it. My husband got the barbecue pork sandwich and it was so good!! Our server was very friendly and helpful too!! The atmosphere is also really cool and there's a gift shop for anyone looking for a shirt or memento. We would go back for sure!

Many people told us we must visit...honestly quite disappointing. The best thing about our visit was the very friendly staff. There was quite a wait before finding a table. It is first come, first seated, so you have to watch the tables till you find someone leaving. The place was filled with cruise visitors. Sadly, the drinks were small, weak, and pricey. We ordered the nacho appetizer that sounded delicious! It was also quite disappointing. There was oodles of cheese and a large pile of chips that appeared to be the crumbs from the bottom of the bag. The rest of the ingredients were sparce on the pile of crumbs. Very deceiving when it was delivered. There was live music playing and the singer was good. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.

Sloppy Joe's is a great place to stop for a bite to eat and enjoy the party type atmosphere. We had lunch and I can only imagine the night time scene is better. John LaMere was on stage and he was very funny too. He engaged the crowd and even had one of the patrons come up on stage to sing with him. My wife and I both ordered the Southern Fried Chicken sandwich with fries and everything was cooked to perfection. The chicken outer crust was dry and crunchy, not oily and slippery like other venues in the area. The inside was juicy and tender. The fries tasted crispy and not oily as well. The drinks were superb and our server Beverly was delightful.

Best bar in Duval Street. Went here on a thursday night and it was packed. They had a great band playing. The vibe of the place was good. Beer selection was excellent. They have a few differnt bar areas because it gets crowded. Make sure you carry your ID. Definitely recommend this place of you are into rock music.

We docked in Key West for the day and stumbled across this lively place. Live music, great service and delicious food. We had the fish and chips and the Macaroni with chicken. Simply delicious!

This is such an iconic place in Key West and a must visit. The atmosphere is superb with live music and a friendly vibe. Our server was exceptional and took great care of us. I had the classic sloppy joe while my brother had a pizza. All the food and drinks were perfect. You can't go to the Keys without stopping in here

If you want classic key west. This is the spot to go to. Music and drinks flow easily throughout the day. It is a first come, first serve seating for tables and bar seats, so during their busy season, I have to believe it will be hard to get a table as people sit and listen all day to the music and drink. Food was as basic as they come. Ordered soft pretzel with cheese and it was three soft pretzels (the brand). My husband had been looking forward to eating a sloppy joes all week, and was disappointed as it had no flavor. Our friends had grilled chicken pizza, and basically, it was just a grilled chicken breast cut up and thrown onto the pizza. My order of wings was decent, not the best wings I've had, but I would get them again. You come here for the historic feel of it more than the food.

We received great service on a very busy night. Had to come here and take my daughter, since I had not been here in over 40 years. Main bar area was still the same, but much has changed. We only did a brief one drink visit and moved on. But thanks for the memories!!

My 2nd visit. 1st was back in 1997. The bartender was actually working there back then...since 1993 she said. Her service was excellent... full of smiles- made my daughters and I feel right at home. Unfortunately, i can't recall her name...so sorry 😐. Buffalo wings were to die for. Nothing physically had changed about the structure or look of this place... no need to!!!! Keep up the excellent service and fun times!

A must visit during your Key West trip. The atmosphere is always fun with live music. Every time I go it’s packed. Tough to get a drink sometimes so you really have to squeeze in to belly up to the bar. I got the legendary Sloppy Joe sandwich because “when in Rome” I thought I had to. While it was quick to come out and piping hot it was just OK. I guess I expected a little more spice to it. It was very very sweet and not that impressive.

I have never had a PO boy sandwich so I tried one. It was fabulous the shrimp 🦐 we're cooked to perfection and spiced just right. It was a great first for me. The history behind this place is amazing and if you are in Key West don't walk by.
