This museum was a great stop while in Key West. That is run by firefighters, retired and volunteer alike, this place has a ton of history and is amazing to walk through. It is an old fire station from the steam engine and horse days. The top is still set up like a bunk rokm. Very neat and cheap stop. Lots to see here.

This is such an experience of history with firefighting in Key West. The former firefighters that hosted our visit were some of the most loving individuals we've met during our stay. If you make a trip out this way, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Thank you for sharing our beautiful tribute to the workers, of all types, that gave their time, health and welfare to recover and rebuild our Trade Center.

It was a real pleasure to hear the history of the Keys FD. The stories of the retired heroes were greatly detailed and very relevant to this newer firefighter. Thank you gentlemen for your years of service and the time you took to talk with me and my friend.

If in the area and you enjoy firehouse history stop by. If a time or retired show your FD ID for a discount on admission. They have the old bell system that was in Key West and can demonstrate how it works.

Whilst we were in Key West, Florida Keys; we came across the decommissioned Fire House No.³ on Grinell Street. It is now a museum with artefacts dating as far back as the late 1800's. One of their newest pieces, is a piece of steel from the North Tower of the World Trade Centre.

I really like this tour. The guides are retired fire fighters and some stationed at the Museum station when it was active. There is a lot of good historical information around the city, and its interesting to hear how its evolved.

Alex & Rich are absolutely amazing people! They explained so much about the Keywest Fire history. I highly recommend this location on your stop. It will make you appreciate what our great grandparents did for thy neighbors. Back then It was a team effort for the residents to take care of each other. We left there completely happy !!! Please make a donation if you can..

I can't tell you how much we enjoyed this place. The retired firefighter who gave us the tour was so knowledgeable and very funny. We all learned a lot about firefighting as well as great Key West history. Loved the "where's Bum Farto" story.

The chief and guys there are so accommodating. They stayed an hour and half past closing to give us the tour because it is their passion. So much history here. I will be back.

Very interesting history of Key West. The volunteers were super helpful and friendly. We were there an hour before they closed but we will go back so we can chat with the retired firefighters for longer. The items at the museum are well preserved and well displayed. We stayed an hour but next time I'm planning on an hour and a half to experience it a little longer.

This is a must see! A little off the beaten path but the fire fighters (some retired) were great hosts. The kids loved searching for Dalmatians
