My husband and I celebrated my birthday in Key West and we spent five nights at the Capitana. So glad we did! We chose a corner room with wraparound balcony and it was lovely. Resort was very new, very clean, with beautiful landscaping. Loved the nautical-inspired decor throughout. The room was cozy but didn't feel cramped. Beautiful bathroom with rainfall shower. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the free breakfast was tasty and had a nice variety of food options. Also appreciated the hydration stations and free bottled water in the room. The pool area is open until 11pm which we loved. It was so nice relaxing in the pool and hot tub every evening after a day of exploring Key West. Would definitely recommend this place for a couples' or friends' getaway. Would stay again!

I am pleased to share my wonderful experience at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with excellent service from Shanique at the reception. She was very friendly and helpful, making our check-in process a breeze. The hotel itself was laid back and had a great vibe. The pool bar was a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy some drinks while taking in the gorgeous view. The pool was also wonderful and clean, perfect for a refreshing swim. Our room was beyond our expectations - it was spacious, modern, and clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom and shower were also excellent, with all the amenities we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was the lovely view of the bay from our balcony. It was breathtaking, and we spent many evenings just taking it all in. Overall, our stay at this hotel was very enjoyable. The service was outstanding, the facilities were clean and felt new, and the views were stunning. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future!

I don’t know where to start but if I could rate this hotel higher than 5stars I would! The staff are very welcoming and friendly! From the front desk to housekeeping, they make sure to ask if you need anything! The hotel has a pool& jacuzzi (open 8am-11pm) beach sitting area, a bar(closes @8pm), a gym(open 24hrs), and coin laundry room (open 24hrs). The continental breakfast was delicious! Everyday they have new chef’s special (pancakes, French toast or waffles). They even have a machine to toast your bagels! A lot of variety of breakfast drinks. The rooms were very clean! The beds were very comfortable to sleep in, they weren’t squeaky at all. The only drawback is that it’s located outside of the downtown area and no shuttle provided!

This was an all around 5 stars experience for us and our kids; the hotel was beautiful, larger than I expected but it still felt intimate; gorgeous view, and everything was clean and felt new. Parking wasn't an issue at all, they have a huge lot! The beds were very comfortable, the room was spacious, modern, and the bathroom and shower were really nice. Our balcony had a lovely view of the pool and the bay, the whole experience was very relaxing. The pool is excellent, and it's heated so it's always at a perfect body temperature! They even had floaties for people which was great since we forgot ours at home and one of my kids is still learning to swim. This place was fantastic for kids too, they even had lawn games for them like an oversized chess set. The included breakfast was what you'd expect but the eggs and potatoes were delicious, we ate it pool side and it lovely! The staff was friendly and lovely; the help desk in particular bent over backwards to help us, from the staff that welcomed us to the manager (shout out to Mimi!) who helped me with a credit card issue (my fault). They even had a way to easily text the front desk and they replied right away; VERY convenient! I can't wait to go back to this hotel, it's very well run and it was honestly one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Great place for couples or families with kids, our kids at 4 and 7 and loved our stay here, we are definitely coming back to Capitana!

This place is so amazing. Very reserved resort; the staff is friendly. I really enjoyed the pool. The bar food and drinks are surprisingly tasty. The room is clean and the shower is easy to use. Overall, I have a great experience in Key West staying at the Capitana.

The Capitana Key West is an outstanding hotel. We were fortunate to have a room on the 3rd floor with a stunning view of the ocean and the pool. The rooms were spacious, clean, and equipped with a balcony. Although it's about 2 miles away from downtown, there are plenty of nearby conveniences like Starbucks and Taco Bell, and each room comes with a microwave. There's ample free parking available, but they do hold a $50 deposit for each night of your stay. One of the highlights is their fantastic pool and Jacuzzi, complete with poolside service for drinks and snacks. The breakfast is simple, served from 8 to 10 am, but it would be great if they extended the hours a bit, especially since they close the doors promptly at 9.58 am. As a suggestion, it would be wonderful if they could offer coffee in the lobby throughout the day for guests coming and going. Additionally, there's a 24-hour laundry facility on the 3rd floor, which is a blessing. You can purchase quarters for the machines from guest services, and there's also liquid soap available for purchase at a small shop located in the lobby. The pool closes around 10 pm.

Amazing place. Very friendly staff. One of the best rooms i have stayed in not too far from everything. 10-15 mts drive to downtown and beaches and other attractions. Had a nice pool , bar, pool table , badminton etc. Didn't explore the resort fully as we were out most of the time . The only thing I didn't like was water wasn't cold in the pool , and it was 30plus degree temperature. The sunset viewing was just awesome and you are just outside your room. Had ample parking and nice setting would love to go again .

A very good place where take a break and have a good holiday. We spend there some days and We were delighted. Very kind staff and clean and amazing place. Nice and clean pool and the hot tub too, amazing. You can enjoy pool it till late night and the included breakfast is good for starting the day. I love the room and the views and you can rent kayak and have a fun day in the coast. The only thing I notice is that sell that hotel like first line of beach and do not have any beach is a golf with rocks and marine trees, has no sand or beach you can not swimming there just make some water sports like kayak but the pool and it's amazing and staff super kind. I enjoy my vacations there

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. Not a bad location, only a few minutes to the Duval St action. The staff was wonderful. The reason for the four stars is it was very pricey and we thought we were getting a "Gulf view". It was more like a bay view coupled with in-your-face pool view. We couldn't even keep the drapes open as people in the hot tub were just staring into our room. The food and drinks were great. All in all, it was a nice experience.

The Capitana is beautiful. It looks new and fresh. Everything is clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. It's not far from the beach or Duval, but it's far enough to be quiet when you need peace. I'd stay there again.

We stayed here this past weekend and had such a wonderful experience we had to leave a review. They texted us as soon as we checked in to make sure everything met our expectations, as well as sending texts throughout the stay. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast every morning was amazing. They even provided free drinks: lemonade, chocolate milk, apple juices, etc. along with free water bottles for your entire stay in a grab and go fridge by the ice machine. The atmosphere and pool/hot tub/beach area were very relaxing and clean. Everyone was so friendly. The food at the hotel bar was better than any of the food we ate at restaurants in key west. The rooms were clean, with a balcony facing the water/pool that were very relaxing. Instead of a room key you have to keep up with, they give you a room bracelet that you wear to unlock your door that is waterproof (this was our favorite part). Overall this was a very quiet hotel, even the pool area was quiet and relaxing. Games by the pool, hammock, servers that will serve you by the pool area/beach, etc. this place has it all. We will definitely be back again! Thank you!

We found the entire staff to be warm, welcoming, friendly, helpful, and positive. Questions were answered with enthusiasm and thoughtfulness, often with specific recommendations and help. The grounds were beautiful and well cared for. The rooms were clean, complete, and modern. The pool, beach, and Tiki Bar areas were well staffed with great attention from the staff. Good was surprisingly good, with a small, but varied, menu. Everything we tried was really good.

Our family’s expierence was amazing!! Breakfast was good, hotel was good, service was good, pool was good, etc. I am really happy with this hotel. The only thing that I would say is that it is a little pricy but besides that this hotel deserves a 5/5 stars. The pool was very salty. Alisiyah was the person who took care of our room and kept it clean and did a great job. She was really kind to us.

Gorgeous place. Worth the splurge. Terrific breakfast as well. Pool area was fantastic. Entire premise was well maintained. Front staff were attentive and helpful. Rooms were amazing and so comfortable. Hop on hop off bus stop across the street so we used that rather than trying to park in town

The Capitana Key West is nicest resort we have ever stayed at. The entire resort felt brand new and was soo clean. Our room had an amazing view of the pool and smelled great. I highly recommend staying here if you are able to. The salt water pool was absolutely stunning. We had so much fun just floating around and taking in the amazing views and stars at night. The complimentary breakfast was very good. Be sure to try the on-site restaurant as well as the bar. The poolside service was a very nice touch to his outstanding resort.

Can’t say enough good things. My family loved our stay at The Capitana. The room was spotless and smelled so good! I think this has to be the best hotel pool in Key West - there was plenty of room for all the guests and our daughter loved the fountains and all the lights at night. We also enjoyed the complementary smoothies and popsicles by the pool. The breakfast was different every day and did not disappoint. Loved having a fridge of cold water to grab on each floor. All the staff were very welcoming. My family was impressed by everything and so happy we chose to stay here. Highly recommend for anyone looking to visit Key West, especially if you’re looking for a low-key, quiet, relaxing time!

We LOVED our stay here. The rooms were clean and beautiful as well as the pool/beach area. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the staff. I hardly leave reviews, but Lee at the front desk was such a light and was hands down the highlight of our entire stay in key west. She went above and beyond and created such a memorable vacation for us and hope to stay at this hotel again because of her!

This was our second visit to the Capitana, and it seemed more pronounced this time, but the amount of plastic and disposable garbage was shocking. Why not have filtered water and give guests reusable cups instead of so many plastic bottles? Why not have ceramic mugs instead of paper or wax cups for hot drinks? The plates used for breakfast don't even look recyclable and they're thrown away. Our first stay a year ago I asked for a ceramic mug so I can make my tea in the morning, and they brought one to the room in 15 minutes. This time, the fellow didn't know what I was talking about and when I finally was able to describe it, he said they don't have any. The pool is beautiful, the beachy area very nice, the room is clean and comfortable and the food isn't bad (although breakfast is not very good). I think we'll try someplace else next time we visit Key West.

Outstanding! This hotel is perfect if you want a quiet relaxing atmosphere. The grounds and building are impeccable. They offer free breakfast and complimentary water in refrigerators on each floor. All staff members are professional and friendly and go above and beyond to make guests comfortable. We will be returning!

This is my favorite place to stay in Key West. Lisa the bar manager is amazing. Ryan our server was super down to earth and made sure we had food and drinks, food was FANTASTIC. Love the cabana, rented one of those. Love the rooms and balcony. Modern rooms and super clean. Will be back for sure for sure! And Jessica at the front desk helped us with everything else. Only thing they need to fix is the plugs outside to charge our electric rental golf cart thingy, most of them not working (only three work). Love the water and ice on each floor. Breakfast every morning was GREAT! 1-3 minute drive on golf cart to DUVAL.

Beautiful stay at the Capitana. My two 16 year old daughters and myself stayed in a villa Paradise. The place appears brand new with modern decor and gorgeous furniture. We had a full kitchen and two bedrooms with 2 1/2 bath with a porch overlooking a dock. The staff were courteous. I highly recommend for all ages and status.

This hotel is wonderful. Friendly and efficient check in staff who upgraded us to a family room with a beautiful view of the gulf of Mexico. The room itself was spacious, clean, and very modern and has everything you need in the kitchen. Good sized balcony to enjoy the views. Pool area is peaceful with loads of spare sunbeds and a good supply of towels. Small beach area too. Bar staff were excellent. Breakfast is included, not a large selection but good enough to get you going for the day. Location is good. Plenty of parking available and only a quick uber ride into downtown where the fun is. I would avoid driving to downtown as lots of traffic and limited parking space. It's not a cheap hotel to stay in but it's Key West and some of the other options I looked at were only a bit cheaper and not as luxurious. I would absolutely stay here again and not often I say that about hotels. Well done to all the staff here for creating a great holiday experience 👍

Great location, the rooms are really nice and cozy. Everything is clean and organized. Customer service was nice as well. Breakfast was included and good for being free. The view from the rooms are fenomenal, you can see the pool and the ocean. I am giving 4 because the small children jumping over my head into the pool, almost got hurt. They were all unsupervised. Parents either not paying attention or not caring. I would it recommend having a pool attendant to supervise inappropriate guest behaviors to avoid any law suits.

Excellent service Dimple at the reception helped us check-in, very friendly and helpful. Hotel was beautiful, gorgeous view, and everything was clean and felt new. The beds were very comfortable, the room was spacious, modern. Bathroom and shower were really nice. Our balcony had a lovely view of the pool and the bay, the whole experience was very relaxing!

We came upon the Capitana after a horrible night at a different location. Jorge helped us by assuring us that was not the case with this hotel. He even let us check in early, knowing that we hadn’t even slept the night before due to the previous hotel we had stayed at. Our stay was nothing short of exceptional, everything was really quiet at night, which is very hard to find in Key West, of course if you want to be downtown, this is not the hotel, but we did not want that. This is the perfect place that you can just literally stay at the hotel grounds and relax all day. They even include breakfast, which is also very rare when it comes to hotels in the keys. Most restaurants are easily $15 per person for breakfast so that’s huge. My husband and I come down about 3-4 times a year and have stayed in almost every hotel on the island and I can say that this is the true definition of a boutique hotel. Extremely clean with very friendly and attentive staff. I cannot say enough good things about this place and will be staying here again hopefully in the near future. Jorge thank you again for saving our trip!!!

Our visit was in April 2022. We did a lot of research when choosing a place to stay in Key West and we feel this is a real gem. It's new and clean and beautiful and everything was top notch. The pool area is gorgeous and the food/drinks from there were delicious. We also enjoyed the daily breakfast and convenient location. There's plenty of parking. Two notes to help planning: The "cottages" are located across the parking lot lined up in a separate building. It's kind of weird to go out of the main resort to get to them and all around there is traffic honking etc which honestly kind of makes for a different vibe. They back to a small canal which is nice but if I had to do it again if I didn't require a kitchen/suite I would go with the rooms inside the hotel with balconies that overlook the pool. It would feel like more of a retreat and oasis since you then don't have to leave the bldg. Also it should be mentioned that the mattresses were very hard for those of us who care about mattresses-- my husband and I were both very uncomfortable and were surprised of its low quality when literally everything else was amazing. Overall- enjoy this place while you can and before it gets even more popular!

Had an amazing time here. Very clean, spacious and did not at feel at all like a hotel stay. We were able to stay in one of the cottage rooms and it felt like an apartment. Breakfast was good, hot and simple. Lots of drinks and complimentary waters, as many as we wished.

Property is in great new condition. We had a romantic anniversary getaway. Loved the pool and staff. Breakfast was great and included in small daily resort fee. Had hot breakfast foods, not just cereal. Sunsets from property were beautiful. Will definitely stay again!

Beautiful place. My husband and I have stayed twice and loved both times. Great food and drinks at poolside bar. Love the pool and hottub. People are very friendly and nice. Would like the pool to be warmer as our visit was the 1st part of February and the pool was too cool for swimming.

This is easily one of the best hotel stays I have experienced. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable of the area, and attentive. We stayed in one of the cottages; It has a great kitchen area, 2 full bathrooms upstairs and a half bathroom downstairs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and our group of six was able to get ready and move around easily without it feeling crowded. The outside area is also very serene, and their pool is gorgeous. They also left us some Prosecco in our room which was a thoughtful, sweet touch. Highly recommend!!
