It's
odd
some
reviews
said
this
place
was
touristy
when
it
isn't
at
all
touristy!
Any
local
will
tell
you
the
best
restaurants
are
found
off
Duval.
Someone
complained
about
no
high
chairs.
Thank
goodness,
we
would
have
turned
around
and
left
if
there
were!
We
found
Red
Shoe
on
google
while
looking
for
restaurants
we
haven't
tried
yet
that
were
within
walking
distance
of
our
hotel.
This
was
actually
our
3rd
choice
because
1
and
2
were
closed,
and
what
a
fantastic
little
gem
we
found.
Austin
was
our
server
and
he
was
wonderful.
We
had
a
little
table
by
the
windows
and
started
with
Gambino
sparkling
wine
which
was
fruity
and
delicious.
The
menu
is
so
unique.
We
ordered
shrimp
mango
toast.
You
had
me
at
mango
toast!
Key
West
shrimp
with
fresh
garlic,
scallion,
and
caper
aioli
with
fresh
parsley,
and
red
chili
on
a
crispy
toasted
mango
bread.
This
was
insane!
It
was
a
flavor
explosion
in
our
mouths!
We
wanted
to
try
Lobster
Roll
Profiteroles
too,
but
knew
it
would
be
too
much
food.
Fish
of
the
day
was
grouper
which
was
a
large
filet
topped
with
sherry
lobster
sauce
and
Key
West
pink
shrimp
on
an
amazing
arepa!
Austin
explained
to
us
the
fish
and
shrimp
comes
right
from
Stock
Island,
and
we
could
taste
how
fresh
it
was.
The
arepa
was
a
pillowy
cloud
of
corn
goodness.
Austin
described
the
lavender
cheesecake
with
vanilla
honey
glaze
and
we
were
immediately
on
board.
What
a
delightful
combination!
Red
Shoe
Island
Bistro
was
an
amazing
find
and
the
best
meal
we
had
on
this
trip.
