Highly recommend, great service, amazing food, great atmosphere. I had the yellowtail and entire meal was to die for. If you are in key west, enjoy fresh fish, you will not go wrong. As a heads up, you probably want a reservation, we arrived without one right at opening (6pm) and got a table. 5 min later entire restaurant was filled. As good as this experience was, I expect you will eat somewhere else if you show up without a reservation.

Delicious from start to finish. I've never liked scallops but these deviled eggs with seared scallops were so good. Must try. The fish specials were great, again coming from a guy that prefers red meat and chicken. I think the key lime pie here with a perfectly buttery crust was my favorite of the many I ate all week in KW! Theo provided excellent service.

One of the best Key lime pies you will find in the Florida Keys. Killer lavender cheesecake. And there is a good reason people rave about the yellowtail snapper. The Caesar salad is now my favorite in town - different than I’ve ever seen - takes it to a new level. Incredible attention to detail every step of the way. I heard the lady at the next table describe everything as “divine.” She was 100% correct.

My wife and I celebrated our 40th year anniversary here and from start to finish everything was exquisite and we savored every bite. The service was impeccable as well. We started with a bottle of chardonnay and baked avocado appetizer. Followed by the pear & blue cheese salad. Our entrées was yellowtail snapper and fish of the day (black grouper) with grilled key west pink shrimp. For dessert was non other than key lime pie.

Just can’t say enough great things about this dining experience! Our waiter, Victor, was awesome… knows the menu so well and took a lot of time to describe each item on it. He recommended a great wine and our two entrees were masterpieces! And the Key lime pie is the best we’ve ever had. The flavor was great and the crust was very unique and the perfect consistency. Be sure to visit this wonderful restaurant and you’ll be glad you did!

Great place. Forgot to take pics of Caesar salad and meals. The scallops were a little small. That was a bummer. But they were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The yellow fin tuna entree was also delicious. The desserts are worth it. The lavender cheesecake was amazing and so was the key lime pie.

I want to start out by saying they make the BEST key lime pie I tasted in key west! Menu is small but the food is high quality, with close attention to taste and presentation. For an appetizer we got the shrimp mango toast was AMAZING. My boyfriend got the Key West Pink Shrimp In Red Chili Pepper Sauce and really liked it. I got the special which was black grouper which was excellent. Probably my favorite meal I had while in key west.

It's odd some reviews said this place was touristy when it isn't at all touristy! Any local will tell you the best restaurants are found off Duval. Someone complained about no high chairs. Thank goodness, we would have turned around and left if there were! We found Red Shoe on google while looking for restaurants we haven't tried yet that were within walking distance of our hotel. This was actually our 3rd choice because 1 and 2 were closed, and what a fantastic little gem we found. Austin was our server and he was wonderful. We had a little table by the windows and started with Gambino sparkling wine which was fruity and delicious. The menu is so unique. We ordered shrimp mango toast. You had me at mango toast! Key West shrimp with fresh garlic, scallion, and caper aioli with fresh parsley, and red chili on a crispy toasted mango bread. This was insane! It was a flavor explosion in our mouths! We wanted to try Lobster Roll Profiteroles too, but knew it would be too much food. Fish of the day was grouper which was a large filet topped with sherry lobster sauce and Key West pink shrimp on an amazing arepa! Austin explained to us the fish and shrimp comes right from Stock Island, and we could taste how fresh it was. The arepa was a pillowy cloud of corn goodness. Austin described the lavender cheesecake with vanilla honey glaze and we were immediately on board. What a delightful combination! Red Shoe Island Bistro was an amazing find and the best meal we had on this trip.

This was the PERFECT dinner. We had beef stroganoff and the seafood medley and both dishes were amazing!! We finished dinner with a lavender cheesecake which became our new favorite dessert! Susie made the whole experience great and this restaurant is so cute and intimate. It is a great start to our anniversary trip. I hope to come back before we leave and any time we visit key west again. Thank you all so much!!

Came back on my return trip to Key West, because it was one of my favorite restaurants during my last visit. The food is still delicious, fresh and well prepared, more refined than many Key West restaurants. The staff is very professional yet friendly, and the owner is extremely gracious and pleasant, making the rounds to each table to check in with the guests. My only regret is that with all the great reviews, it’s a bit more difficult to get a reservation these days…..

Red shoe is amazing! Food was so good and our server, Sussie was really kind and friendly. We had seafood medley, yellowtail snapper, and key lime pie for desserts.

What a meal! Had the Caesar salad, shrimp Mango Toast and the Beef Stroganoff. Never had the toast before. It was really nice. The Beef Stroganoff was the best we've ever had seriously. You really need to go here.

Great food (the selection is not very big and mostly seafood except for the beef stroganoff). The key lime pie is the best I have ever tried. There is a paid parking lot right next to the restaurant which is a huge convenience. Wide wine selection too. The 20% tip is already pre-inclided in the receipt. I greatly recommend the place.

Quaint and cozy bistro open on 3 hours a day. One, maybe 2 seatings per night. Small menu, quality selections and attention to flavor and detail. Victor was wonderful recommending the corvin powered Camus wine flight which was a treat and atypical for us. Couple of favorites included grilled Caesar dotted with a chunky Parmesan dressing. Deviled eggs with scallop and lobster bisque( tastes exactly as it sounds). I loved the special black grouper on a croquette.

Red Shoe Island Bistro offers flavorful fare in an attractive, quiet and comfortable setting. Four of us each ordered and enjoyed the Yellowtail Snapper. For dessert, I had the (Award Winning, we were told) Key Lime Pie. I do not recall the particular pie (depicted below) that our companions were served. I only know that it was very much too their liking. Overall, the food and ambience was everything we hoped for. We heartily recommend Red Shoe Island Bistro.

This place is simply incredible! Amazing service, the waiter was impeccable, food came fast and it was sooooo delicious not mentioning the vibe and decoration, everything was on point and made my last night in Key West so special! I am very picky when it comes to food and service and I would give more stars to this place if I could! Thank you for having this amazing and magical bistro in Key West! Hope you can open one like this in San Diego where I live! Thank you!

We loved everything we got! You should definitely go here. We got four different dishes in total and they were all amazing. Below are the scallops and the beef stroganoff and lavender cheesecake. 🤌

Amazing dinner. We were lucky to grab two seats at the bar. Reservations were completely booked. John waited on us and was amazing. The red grouper was outstanding. The scallops and deviled eggs are a must order. My wife had the yellow tail that was excellent. We will be back on our next trip to key west

Loved this place so much we came back twice during our stay. John had excellent recommendations and everything was so delicious. Our favorite things were deviled eggs with scallops, stroganoff and lavender cheesecake. Parking conveniently across the street. Mellow and romantic environment. Definitely one of our favorite places to eat in Key West. Highly recommend!!!!!

Must try!! This was our first time at Red Shoe and we will definitely be back. The food was excellent, the service was excellent. Nothing but good things to say. Got the scallop deviled eggs as an app and they were delicious, sounds weird but somehow it works! For dinner we had seafood medley, snapper, and scallops which were all delicious. Dessert we had lavender cheesecake. Also had a bottle of wine which I feel like the wine was reasonably priced! FYI - as space is smaller reservations are best bet (there is some bar seating though). And they don’t serve liquor, beer & wine only!
