walked up to the door and was told it was closed … BUT it was the owner and he insisted on making us cuban coffee! we felt bad because they were closed but he said he was there to make his own coffee for the day and said it was perfect timing. he ended up giving my bf & I cubanos on the house! it was such a treat and he was beyond nice and welcoming. you won’t be disappointed if you come here!! ☺️

What a great small local coffee shop and an even better owner!! Will definitely come back here next time we are in Key West!!!

Amazing authentic Cuban sandwiches! Finally a place in key west with home-cooked authentic cuban food. The service was awesome...we loved this place! You have to order at the window and take a seat outside.

My friend ordered a Tostada and an Iced Latte. They didn't give him a Tostada, but just a plain Cuban Toast instead. I ordered an Iced Mocha and a Cuban Toast. I truly enjoyed the Iced Mocha. Definitely worth getting. The Cuban Toast was not good at all. One bite was all I could do. Go for the Coffee.

Food was absolutely the best thing we ate while in Key West! We had the BEST beef pastry and breakfast. Felix gave us a pastry to try. My husband and I came to buy them all the next day to share with our friends at the hotel. Felix was by far the nicest person we met while in Key West! Don't miss out on this little gem while you visit :)

Amazing!!!!! My girlfriend and I were recommended to go try this place,I've been by it many times before. We went and had a Cubano sandwich and sweet plantains. It was hands down the best Cubano sandwich and the best plantains I've ever had in my life. The pork was so flavorful and everything was perfectly balanced. Never had such sweet and riped plantains. Everything was AMAZING. We are definitely going back at least once more for lunch before we leave. Fully recommended to anyone in need of a wonderful lunch.

I cannot recommend Cafelito enough! I was in Key West on vacation, and started my mornings with a colada and empanada every single day. My two favorites were the chorizo and the guava & cheese, but you can't go wrong with any of them. I will definitely be coming back any time I'm in the Keys!

We bought 2 breakfast sandwiches (Bacon, egg, and cheese) and an iced Cuban mocha to share. Service was fast, and sandwiches were made to order while we waited. Staff was friendly and chatty, and complimented my silly phone case. 2.50 for our coffee I believe and everything together was $18, plus tip. Some of the cheapest, most filling, NORMAL food on the island. Very happy with this little cafe and 10/10 will go again when I'm back in Key West.

The food was perfect and delicious, good price and fresh, but the best thing was the kind and good attention of the owner. Nice place to eat!

Felix and his lovely lady run our favorite place in Key West! We went back twice during our visit and if he didn't have to run to Miami to get coffee on Sundays we would've been back 3 times! I wish I would've taken more pictures of all of the things we ordered but the mango smoothie was divine! We appreciated the paper straw, save the turtles 🐢 and the environment! I have a sensitivity to almonds but I wanted to try the guava pastry, he called his lovely lady- who makes them- to ask her if there were any almonds in the pastry so I could have one- and there weren't! So I can tell you get a guava pastry and a mango smoothie it is a great way to start your day! My guy started his with a café con leche and he said it was the best he'd ever had. We can also vouch for his breakfast sandwiches, we grabbed two on our way out of town! Felix has a bit of magic in that stand and if you want to start your day off right in Key West you should start it off with him! Until we meet again!

Their breakfast sandwich (with ham) and iced mocha is so good! We had to have it again before our flight in the morning.

Must try for Cuban food and pastries. Great recommendations and delicious authentic coffee made with mocha and sweetened condensed milk. My mom and I stopped for a mid day snack and we’re so glad we did! Thank you!

I found this place by accident, had the ice large latte (sorry cannot remember the real name) and Cuban bread with butter. It was awesome!!!! Latte flavor is great, super large, and the bread is toasted in the perfect way!! The young lady helped me take photos with the best coffee and food. The next day I had a flight around noon, and the only activity I arranged that day is to visit this cafe again, even if the Lyft fee is not cheap, still totally worth it. The young lady still friendly with pretty smile, and helped me get breakfast bowl ready. Eventually I took 2 bags of coffee bean to my flight, so that I can still enjoy the best coffee at home. Happen to find this cafe is the best experience I have in Key West! See you soon!

We had excellent coffee and vegetarian omlette wrap for a great breakfast. You can sit and enjoy Cuban food and pastries there . The prices are reasonable. This is a little place to enjoy. We will come back next time for sure. It is highly recommended!

Some of the nicest people we encountered on our trip to Key West! Delicious coffee (some of the best I had while in Key West) and great breakfast if you want something to grab and go or sit and enjoy there. And prices are super reasonable too--highly recommend!

FANTASTIC! A must stop for excellent coffee and great guava pastelitos, breakfast sandwiches, and tostadas. Felix is so friendly and offers wonderful service. His girlfriend makes the pastries and they are some of the best we have had. The cafe con leche is just like what we grew up with (arguably better than our abuelas). Highly recommend making this part of your Key West experience.

WORTH THE WALK! Customer service is impeccable - very patient and helpful with ordering. I got the biscuits and gravy with an iced latte. Both delicious, you can really tell the time that is put into the food/drinks!

We happened to walk by this window and had to stop for some empanadas, coffee, and a sandwich after looking at the menu. Everything was incredible and fresh! The empanadas were some of the best, and the Cuban mixed sandwich was amazing. The service by the couple was awesome too- so friendly! When we come back to Key West we will definitely be stopping by here again.

Great little hole in the wall! Very much a grab and go place so not a lot of seating to eat/drink but has delicious coffee and Cuban sandwiches! I very much appreciate that my iced mocha had coffee ice cubes to keep it from diluting!

Edited review: First I couldn’t say much about this place because waiting was so intense. But go get something here ! First I cannot tell, because waiting +25minutes for only ordering a coffee played to much on my patience and I left to move on (on Saturday morning before 9AM). No shade and very slow processing of the orders. The queue though was not long. No info, no interaction, no waiting displayed… I did not appreciate this. For this I recommend the owner to work on a solution or for the customers to skip and go along since there is plenty of other coffee places down the road. So far all over I do not recommend except if you have plenty of time to kill. Good luck. Edit of another visit three days later : First of : thank you for your reply. I think it’s important to be aware of what is going wrong from the customers point of view, in order to improve the business running. This comment is not intend to be ‘roasting’ or whatsoever. So, today (Tuesday) I showed up an hour earlier than for my first try, so before 8. There we’re 4 people waiting, but it was only two orders. Still I waited 15 minutes until it was my turn. Again, I only ordered a Collada (yes with sugar – let the Cubans do it for you in their way, you won’t be disappointed !). It was a good coffee (3,40$ for locals). Though, I actually was next in the queue, another person arriving after me, was welcome to order before I did. Well, that is just a frustrating detail, especially if the main reason for my comment is the waiting time. This doesn’t help. Anyhow, the lady at the window was nice and welcoming, just right (meaning not too much, not too less) the way a costumer relationship imo should be. I hope this may help you figuring out how to improve your tasks. Good luck for the future ! Again : i recommend, good coffee, but waiting can be very long and exhausting.

We had pretty varied experiences with both service and food quality in Key West, but CAFELITO excelled on both fronts (and happened to be reasonably priced, too!). We went here both mornings we were in Key West and the food, coffee, and service were great both times. Highly recommend!
