My parents visited Key West a couple months ago and decided to stop in at this nursery to check out some air plants for me. I've grown a small collection and actually joked with them about grabbing me some. The concept of this place is amazing and encouraging to want to spend money at. I know they'll be back next year and this time with a wad of cash for more plants for me. They brought me back 5 air plants, 2 which are large. 2 bloomed within 2 weeks. 1 of those actually produced a total of 3 blooms within 2 weeks. They were extremely healthy. They also got a bag of Spanish Moss but I'm not too educated on it and have been doing my best to keep it alive but it's living and growing. It did have a lot of dead spots due to traveling in the bag but most lived. The prices were great especially compared to the places I have to order from and their sizes. I would love to see them get a website going. I would love to purchase a lot more.

I was so excited to grow tomatoes this year! I tried once before, but the white flies just devoured my plants. A lady at the farmers market told me to visit the Marc House nursery - they have something that makes the soil unfriendly to whiteflies, she said. So off I went. I think I came in through a side entrance, but I approached the first woman I saw and asked if she worked there. She said she did. While I explained my situation, she was already telling me how no, no, no; that's not true. She was condescending, rude, and needs to have an attitude adjustment in the worst way. There was an older gentleman (wearing the same shirt design so I'm guessing he works there, too) who tried to keep the situation from completely derailing, and bravo to him for trying, but she was simply out of line. For anyone who wishes to know, apparently there is a product called Super 7 that will keep the whiteflies away without rendering the plants inedible like a soil additive would, but I'd rather drown kittens that have to go back there and purchase it from her. (IF they even sell it there. I have no idea if they do because I was certainly not gonna stick around and spend any money after that first - and last - interaction with their staff.) I was so excited to try my hand at gardening; after that encounter, I'd rather salt the earth. MARC is a great organization that does wonderful things within the community - it's a shame that that woman is allowed to scare away customers with her rude attitude. I won't be back.

Bought an orchid from here over a month ago, and was unsure how to properly care for it. The workers were extremely knowledgeable, gave me tips, and also gave me a care sheet! I highly recommend buying the fertilizer they are already using on their orchids. The orchid I bought still has its flowers, and it’s even growing a second flower spike! Super exciting! Great place to buy an orchid, and learn proper care for them as well.

I have to share my experience that happened to me and my kids at Marc House. I am a mom of a 1.5 year old and 3.5 year old. We went to Marc House to look for some plants for our outside porch. I saw a lady doing something there and asked her if there is anybody to help me with the plants. She gave me “the look” and said there is a cart if I needed anything and that she is attending customers at the moment. When she saw me there with my kids I could already tell that she was annoyed. My kids were not touching or Tearig or stepping on any plants. Nor were they screaming or running around. They were touching the water in the fountains they sell. This lady tells me in a very rude and unwelcoming tone to watch my kids and shook his head and rolled her eyes on us. I took my younger one in my hand waiting for the lady to finish with her customers. We went inside so the kids would not see the fountains. When this lady finished with a customer she just walked by me without saying a single word and went outside. I could see that she was started to look ahead. I guess she expected me to follow her. I went outside and put my younger one down to show her what I was looking at. When I asked her something I felt l was bothering her. Meanwhile my little one touched the fountain again. The lady immediately reacted in her unpolite manner again. At this point I Just wanted to leave. I am very disappointed and offended by this ladys behavior. I would never expected anything like this from an organization like this. If this is a kids free area, sighs should be put there. I will not be back.

The MARC house is a quiet locally-owned plant store. There is a nice selection of different plants which they sell. During holidays, the MARC house sells seasonal items. During October, the MARC house sells pumpkins. During the winter times, the MARC house sells Christmas trees. I recommend checking this place out if you want to support a local business in Key West!

Very wide selection of plants that are hard to find elsewhere in town. Sears, Home Depot, are competitive yet there is a good reason to view this place. It has the feeling of a open European flower market that you will not find elsewhere. Never over crowded and staff are very knowledgeable about the plants. Rather like walking within the market scene from My Fair Lady. (Sadly no Audrey.)

This is a pretty cool nursery. They had some excellent plants and you could tell they were meticulously taken care of.

Best place in the Keys to buy your Christmas tree! We live in Marathon and drive to KW every year to get our tree. The trees are open so they not smashed and you see what you are getting. The staff is always pleasant, and the best part is your money goes to an organization which helps adults with disabilities! They also have a great plant nursery, we also buy our plants there.

Nice plant store. I went looking for their special orchid fertilizer. We’ll see how my plants respond to it in the coming months

I called asking about a certain plant, and they were out, but were getting some the next day. I went the next day and they had some and I bought a milkweed at a good price. 😊

😠 In a first place I don’t know how this place is actually working, stuff is so rude, they have new policies all the time, every time I come here they want to charge me for something , but if I stand for myself and ask for a bill they say never mind. I did a couple different tests with them,it took them...
