Before sunset, there wasn’t much people at all. But at sunset, there was a live fire performer that attracted lots of people. Not much food trucks at all. There was a guacamole cart, and a smoothie cart. And others are artists carts. Parking is hard to find at sunset. And three stars for not being able to see the performance due to crowds and only one performer is there.

Best spot to watch sunset in Key west. Perfect photography location. This place gets pretty crowded so get there well in advance to get a good spot. The sail boats silhouette with the setting sun at the background creates a memorable sunset scene! Awesome must visit area.

Beautiful place to visit for sunset. This time of year the sun wasn't as visible setting. The land got in the way but it was still pretty! We got some icecream down there too. They have steet performers as well. Definitely a "put on list" place to visit.

What an awesome time with a beautiful view of the sun setting. Large open area with street performers and artists entertaining the crowds. Plenty of cart vendors there while you wait for sunset.

What a great spot to watch the sunset! Beautiful sunsets! The area has street preformers and food vendors, as well as local artists selling their wares. It was on my bucket list for years and I can check that one off!

Beautiful place to walk around. Lots of street vendors set up their stalls just after 6pm. few street performances were good. Sunset was just amazing.

A beautiful place to watch the sunset. It can definitely get to be quite crowded around sunset time, but it is really a nice place to hang out, meet people and take beautiful photos. It is a very nice vibe there so that you can stick around a little bit after the sun has set and grab some food to eat while the colours of the sky fade. The boats on the horizon will also help set the mood and landscape for your photos.

A crazy world, it's very touristy. Crowded bars, drinks at "key west" prices ($17 including tax for a mojito...), but indeed a very beautiful sunset. Also very high parking prices.

Very nice place in Key West to watch the sunset. Before that, you can watch the street artists perform on the square, buy something at the little serenades or simply wait for the sunset with a drink. There are drinks, popcorn, hot dogs etc. or you can go to one of the nearby bars/restaurants. Definitely worth a visit. It's worth getting there early as it can get a bit crowded later on.

So you go to Mallory Square for the sunset festival only to discover that the daily cruise ships BLOCK 95% of the view of the sunset. Yes it’s that stupid. It isn’t just a tourist trap, it’s entirely completely a tourist trap.

The sunset was really beautiful there and saw such beautiful colors of sky and felt so good. But had a little trouble finding parking spot for my car but other than that it was really beautiful experience.

Fun times with classic street performance styles. It was a bit cloudy but still a nice view.

People's joy for life is truly contagious. After successfully applauding the sunset, we head to the numerous pubs with live music and cocktails. Unapologetically endearing.

Gorgeous Sunset. The place is filled with entertainment, and small food shops. Arts and crafts with different vibes. Good place for kids, family, and couples. Safe and you can sit and watch the sunset.

Enjoyed this more than I expected. A LOT of people and a bit of a carnival atmosphere with street performances. Folks will clear out before the sunset is over. We bought Wendys carryout and ate sitting on the brick steps while watching the sunset. View of the sunset is marred by the concrete piers where the big cruise ships dock. I doubt that the cruise ships are ever there when the sun is setting, though, so it is a nice place for a sunset.

Sunsets were beautiful. It was a nice crowd. Friendly people, parking is limited, and by the time we got there, shops were already closed.. Get there early.

If the clouds don't block it the sunset is a beautiful as expected. It's smart to get a shot at least an hour before sunset because it does get crowded. Fun to people and boat watch, and there were a couple of street performers. The public restrooms are not great, but they'll do in a pinch

Love the sunsets here. Lots of street vendors and some entertainment. Get there early so you can have a front row seat on the seawall. Don't worry if there is s cruise ship there because they are required to get underway before the sun goes down

It's simply the most important thing to do when coming to this town. Head over to Mallory Square at least 30 minutes before sunset, sit on the little wall looking over the sea and west (of course!). Then wait to be inspired and enthralled with the daily show that follows. We were particularly lucky. Not a cloud in the sky. On the evening we were there we only had one busker close by who was strumming some pleasant music. All fantastic. There's nothing more to say...

Maybe it's just change as time passes, or maybe that I'm getting older, but the celebrations in past years (over 40 years, off and on) seemed more lively and festive, with numerous performers and big crowds. This week's celebrations didn't have many performances and vendors far outnumbered them. It's always good, though, when the actual sunset is colorful and bright.

I didn't even know that this place existed. I was visiting the area with a group of people. It was brought to her attention that many patrons love to sit and bear witness to the end of day sunset here. After waiting what seemed an eternity, the sunset finally came, and I must say it was absolutely beautiful. I'm so glad we were in the area, and we got to see the sunset. If you're in the area at the end of the day, I would absolutely recommend this place!

Sunset is absolutely gorgeous when the weather is clear and there are no boats in the way. There is a large crowd, so make sure to get there a little early before sunset to grab a spot. A cruise ship may be docked, resulting in increased congestion in the area. There is entertainment and vendors around the square. The sunset is breathtaking.

Beautiful views of the sunset, but honestly, there are better places to view the sunset while in the keys. We caught a part of the unicycle/ juggling/ comedy performance. It was "cute," at times, impressive at others. The fire twirler.... just took up valuable space in front of the sunset viewing area... hit herself, dropped her sticks, and really didn't do any tricks.

Great atmosphere and place to celebrate the sunset! We were able to see a huge cruise ship depart, and many party boats, ferries and sailboats. Lovely sunset, street performers, and food and drink available.

Absolutely gorgeous sunset on a Sunday evening.. It was a celebration of colors.. We started to watch at 18:15, and sunset was at 18:59 and at every moment in between colors changed.. It is a must-have experience if you are in Key West Florida..

The sunset here is always a win. It is hard to park so i recommend going early. I'll have more tips in my Keys Must Stops List soon. It is very crowded though. But stick around after sunset!

We started the day watching Sunrise in Miami and drove to Keywest to catch the Sunset. The Sunset here is just beautiful. Watching numerous Yachts and Boats sailing by while the Sun setting at the backdrop is one of the most relaxing things to do. Must visit if you are in the Keys.

Still a very magical place. Lots of artisans but not as many as in the past. The views are breathtaking... If you love sunsets. Basically it is an expansive plaza with local talent and artisans and of course beautiful sunsets. It's iconic and very cool place to people watch. Just found out that you can sit and have a drink and food right at the edge of Mallory Square... One of the hotels had tables there.... Next time we go we will eat and watch the sunset from there. You can't miss it!
