👍 Interesting spot when visiting Key West. Plenty of well known faces to explore amid the trees. A welcome place for some shade after a hot walk in the surrounding streets. Note that the park is actually quite small so don't plan on spending too much time here. People often mention West, people, Mallory,

If you're going to the Mallory square, it's worth checking out the historical memorial sculpture garden! It's full of rich history of key West. There are sculptures of many different people of different religious, practices, and disciplines... Kinda unique that they have this and it's really appreciated! And, it's very close to Mallory square!

I thought this was a pretty cool tribute to historic figures that have made Key West what it is today. It's right at the entrance of Mallory Square so you can't really miss this. It's pretty relaxing and worth spending a few minutes here especially if you haven't seen it before. Each bust has a description beneath as well so you can gain some good insight on who they were and how they contributed to Key West.

I am not sure why I enjoyed the Memorial Sculptures but perhaps it was all the heads, so many heads just looking at you. It is odd, but intriguing. You can stroll around and find more heads. It is almost like being in a cemetery but with the figures above ground. Key West has uniqueness, and this adds in a good way.

Small park located near Mallory square and contains busts of people who were important in the history of Key West. Also usually has some wild roosters and chickens roaming around. Worth a short visit.

This really is a perfect place to spend a few minutes reading plaques below the busts of prominent players in the history of Key West. Of course there is Hemingway, Mallory and Tennessee Williams, but the most important is Sandy Cornish. Find it and read his harrowing tale. Be sure to keep an eye out for chickens.

I really have no idea how we end up here but it was super nice because this place is open to the public and free. You can learn so much information about the important people of Key West. Each statue has its information tag where you can learn all about each person.

Cute little sculpture garden featuring prominent persons related to Key West. Its small five minute detour, just off Mallory Square (and the bathrooms!). Easy to miss.

Fascinating sculptures pay tribute to many of the founding people that made Key West a wonderful city. Do yourself a favor and stop off at this small park and learn about the history and its people. Take a half an hour or 45 minutes to read through some of the bios. Well worth the time, and it is free.

Google says this is a library but last time I checked that is a place where books and other media can be checked out and taken home. This isn't that but is a neat little outdoor memorial to a bunch of folks who have made Key West the unique historical place it is. You can learn about all of these colorful people and take a break from shopping, eating and drinking. Also, it's free!

This is a true and genuine place of honor. Walking through the Memorial Garden is an enchanting experience to say the least and gives visitors a feeling of learning about the people who helped to make Key West the awesome place that it is and always has been.

I am not sure if it is a misprinting or what: about William A Whitehead - it says In January, 1931, he became the collector of customs. Should the year be 1831? Or he lived that long?

A walk of sculptures with significant characters from Key West. It opened in 1997 and is located on the corner of Wall Street and Tifts All. Most of the sculptures were made by James Mastin, painter, watercolorist, singer and actor. There are 36 sculptures like Ernest Hemingway, Harry S.Trueman, Henry M. Flagler. They are made of clay or wax. It is interesting to discover the perhaps not so well-known history of the representative people of the island.

👍👍 Hands down one of my favorite shops in Key West. It’s a delightful shop and gallery that stands out from the schlocky t-shirt and souvenirs shops. All pieces are created by a husband and wife team that live in the area and occasionally come in. The shop clerk Sue was extremely knowledgeable of the t...
